*Tak knocks on the "floor" of the void, attempting to summon something*
Can you come out? Please?
*a figure rises from a black hole in the floor, the same sunglasses-covered face and "bitch anon" shirt staring back at her*
"What can I help you with?"
Do you know what's going on?
"Eh, not really. I haven't really gotten super involved lately, save for the coma arc."
Are... are things opening up again? What are we going to do about Vose? Hell, an entire verse just disappeared out of the blue! That's not something that should happen! What are we going to do?! Is there at least any chance of them coming back??
*The figure sips on a smoothie seemingly summoned out of nowhere*
"I don't know what they're planning to do, or if this is only temporary, or if they're going to, like, use it as a co-op. But it should be mentioned that..."
"... People who disappear or get eaten by rifts don't die. The old universes and people don't die, they're sucked into a different plane. They are still out there. Just... somewhere else. Whether or not people will be able to access that "somewhere else" anytime soon depends entirely on what the other deities plan for the other characters."
So... everything ever destroyed or eaten by a rift is actually, like, alive somewhere? And we just can't, like, reach it?
"Yeah. The plane of the broken. It's not as depressing as it sounds, though. Don't worry. They're... they're probably fine."
What do you mean "probably" fine?? They're... they're going to be okay, right?
"Look, I don't have much deific power there. All I can do is open a window to it. You can't exactly... y'know, go through the window though."
*After those words, the deity opens what looks like a small black hole that slowly fades into... floating objects? An entire plane of just floating objects in a vast dark. Tak sees people floating around, people she's seen before but never quite knew well enough. People she can barely recognize, and people that she'sknown all her life. Places, entire towns there. Just sitting.*
Can't you bring them back?
"Eh, that depends. I don't have power over them, their creators do. It's their choice. Plus, I don't want to like, get too deep into something and end up causing something bad to happen in MY universe, so. Sorry, my hands are tied."
... That's okay. Thank you for at least showing me.
*the deity vanishes in a puff of smoke*
