Summary: You always visit Dakota every week for the past few months after he died, but this week was not like any other
Author's note: I started reading WEH and spoiled myself by reading fanfics and now I'm just in denial and I can't accept the fact that Dakota is gone, so I wrote this and a whole bunch of ghost dakota imagines and made the ghost series
Warnings: mentions of death, grief
Word Count: 1,845
You took a deep breath as you approached the stone, walking through the muddy path. It started to rain slightly just as you arrived in the graveyard, but you didn't care. You needed to see him. You always do every week.
Stopping just in front of Dakota's gravestone, you placed a hand on top of the stone, the tiny droplets of rain pouring down on your hand.
"H-Hey, Um... So it's that time where I go visit you and talk to you again, not that you can hear me right now. I just wanted to let you know that mom and I had some fight the other day about something I said to her. It's silly, really, but I just thought I'd let it out."
"Everyone else is doing well. Uh, Mateo is Mateo. He's always trying to cheer me up by sending me a funny text or something. A-And Lennox as well. I can still recall the time when we first met and I thought she hated me." You smiled at the memory. "They're always telling me that you'll always be here with us, but I just can't help feeling lonely and lost now that you're gone."
"I'm missing you so much right now. And I-I know that you'd probably want me to move on and smile again, but I just can't help think about you all the time."
"Your smile, your laugh, that cheeky look on your face whenever you're planning something I don't know about, or when you're always teasing me. I have to admit, that's pretty annoying, but I would do anything to have you here with me right now. You can tease me and make jokes as much as you want as long as you're here." You laughed as tears started to spill from your eyes.
"A-Anyways, I-I just... really miss you. L-Like, a lot. And you might not be able to hear me right now, but I-I hope you're doing okay up there."
"It's been quite a while since you were gone, but somehow I've always had hope that you can somehow come back. It's really silly, I-I know." You could feel the rain hit your cheeks, blending in with your tears as you smiled.
"I just wish we had more time. I really don't know and don't want to let go of you." You kneeled down on the grown, unable to control the wave of emotions washing over you. Tears flowed freely down your cheeks, hitting the stone path underneath you. You didn't care that your clothes were soaked, or that you might get sick from the rain.
"I wish you were here, I miss you so much." You spoke out, one last time before completely breaking down.
You quietly sobbed for a few more minutes before you felt something light, weighing on your shoulder. You slowly lift your face, turning around to see who's hand it was, when you're greeted by a familiar face, smiling down sympathetically at you.
"Dakota!" You leaped towards him, his arms instantly wrapping around you. You didn't know why you did it. Other people might've just ran away in fear, but all you could think about was the man standing in front of you. He pulled back just a little, to wipe the tears staining your face, his own tears starting to form.
"I missed you too." He responded as you buried your face in his chest, tears freely flowing down.
After a few minutes of holding each other, you started to calm down and your breathing was normal again. You pulled away to look at the ghostly figure in front of you, and you can't help but frown.
"So you're a ghost? Am I imagining things?"
"Something like that. And don't look so disappointed, it took me months to be able to be seen, and it took me even longer to find out a way so people can touch me."
"I'm just glad you're here." You snuggled your face in his chest once more as Dakota ran a hand through your hair.
His head bent down, stopping right next to your ear as he whispered softly, "You should get out of the rain, you'll get sick. And if it makes you feel any better, I can accompany you for a while."
You nodded weakly before feeling him lift you up, never releasing the tight grip on your boyfriend. He guided you back towards your house that wasn't too far from the graveyard. He knew you'd get sick at this point, after spending all that time in the rain. Your mind wandered off as the two of you walked, hand in hand. All of this was a lot to take in. You had just gone from having a normal day without Dakota to crying in the graveyard, and now you're walking with his ghost? This was all too much and too overwhelming.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the sudden harsh pouring of the rain. Dakota started urging you to go faster, and the two of you ran back until you've reached the front of your doorstep. You hesitate for a moment, brows furrowing in disappointment. You didn't want this to end. If he goes, who knows if he'll come back.
Noticing your hesitation, Dakota stepped forward and faced you. He lifted a hand up to your cheek, and as if he read your mind, he said, "Hey, it's okay. I'll see you again later. I won't be gone for long, just until you're somewhere where your mom can't see you."
You weren't sure, but you nodded anyways and before you could blink, he faded away. You kept your emotions at bay and reminded yourself that he'll be back. You stepped into the house to be greeted by your mom, her arms folded across her chest.
"I was worried about you, why didn't you come back earlier? And you're soaking wet."
"I'm sorry, it'sâ" She heavily sighs and shakes her head.
"It's okay, go shower." You gave her a thankful look as you headed upstairs towards your room. You pushed the door forward, jumping at the sight of Dakota sitting on your bed, examining the photo frame in your room. He smiled once he saw you entering, and you raised your eyebrows in question.
"You okay?" Your mom shouted from downstairs.
"I'm fine, mom!" You quickly shut the door before rummaging through your closet to look for some comfy clothes.
"Don'tâ" You threw your clothes at the boy-er-ghost sitting in front of you. "Scare me like that." He laughed and set your clothes beside him on the bed.
"What can I say? I couldn't resist, now that I can do these ghostly things." There it was. That smug smile of his that you want to both slap and kiss off of him.
"Well go on, I'll be right here."
"Don't even think of doing things."
"I don't know what you mean." The wide grin was still plastered on his face as he leaned back onto your bed. You glared as you retreated to the bathroom before closing the door and stripping down, hopping onto the shower. You closed your eyes in content as the warm water hit your back. You thought of all the crazy events that happened today. To think that all this happened in just one day was hard to believe, just Dakota coming back as a ghost was really hard to believe.
After finishing off, you had just noticed that you left your clothes back in your bedroom. This is going to be interesting, you thought as you wrapped a towel around you.
"Dakota?" You called out and you heard a subtle hum in response. "Can you please get my clothes?"
"Which one?" He pretended to look around the room. "Oh this one?" He asked, grabbing your clothes from the bed and you could practically hear the smirk in his voice.
"Ugh yes justâ give me those."
"So you want me to come in through the walls and give you these?"
"Nâ!" It was too late, he had already phased through the wall, and to your surprise, the clothes made it through the wall as well.
"Here." You could see the struggle in his eyes as he tried keeping them focused on your face, and only your face.
"You're lucky I'm wearing a towel. Now get out before I strip in front of you."
"I certainly wouldn't mind thâ"
"Nope! Out." He obliged and you quickly slipped your clothes on before exiting the bathroom, a towel in your hand to dry your hair. Dakota watched as you brushed your hair before making your way to the bed, where he was sitting.
After a few moments of silence, Dakota began to speak up. "I know that this is a lot to process, and you have so many questions right now, but what I need you to know is that you need to go find someone else."
A flash of pain crosses your face and you could see the regret on Dakota's face for being so straightforward.
"Why? You're back now. I-I-We can be together again." He frowned and took both of your hands in his.
"We can't. Justâ look at me. We can't have a future together, we can't start a family together. I can't even be seen." Your chest started to hurt from all the thoughts running through your head. Everything the both of you want, but can't have.
"No, we can find a way. A-And for now we can just be together. I lost you, and now we've just found each other again. I can'tâ we can'tâ You can't just go visit me as a ghost and then leave!" You squeezed his hands even tighter, trying to keep the tears from falling, but failing miserably as Dakota pulled you towards his embrace and let you cry on his shoulder. You felt something wet against your neck, which could only mean tears of his own were forming.
"The longer I stay the harder it'll be for you to let go of me." He whispered silently.
"I don't care, I-I just want you..." It came out quieter than you intended it to be, but with all the thoughts running through your head, you couldn't think properly.
"You know we can't." His voice was even softer this time.
"I know." You closed your eyes once more, leaning further into him.
"Okay..." He kissed the top of your head, lingering for a little while longer as if he didn't want to stop. He pulled back slightly to look at you, wiping your tears just as he did back when you first saw him today.
"Who knew ghosts could cry?" He cracked up a joke to defuse some of the tension as he laid down, and you smiled at his silly attempt. You let your head fall front to his chest and snuggled into him. You didn't care about the future right now. You didn't think about what would happen after making this choice. What you cared about for now, was being with him.
Hello there! Sorry this took so long, I am just shuffling between tumblr and my assignments really unsteadily, and so here we are.
Thank you so much for dropping by!
Prompt list - feel free to drop an ask
No. 8: You owe me a kiss.
Bet
He adjusted the helmet, and his gear, staring straight ahead.
'Are you sure you wanna challenge me?' he asked, a smirk of confidence fixed on his lips.
'Puh-lease,' she said, holding up a hand. 'You learned riding yesterday.'
'Suuuure,' he answered, the smirk widening.
'So what's the bet?'
'Huh?'
'Isn't that your thing? Making stuff more interesting? So how about we make a bet on winning?'
'Hm, that is, infact, interesting. A kiss. That's the stake.'
She cocked her eyebrow confidently, and he chuckled.
'Okay.'
He looked back at the empty street. The breeze was warm, he could feel it in his hair.
One moment they were staring at the street, the next, they were off, pedaling as fast as they could, cutting through the neighborhood.
And in the next flash of a moment, her hand slipped from the handlebars and she went crashing down, and he stopped as gracefully as he could manage to.
'You okay? Are you hurt?'
She shook her head as he examined her elbow and arm.
'Well then I believe you owe me a kiss,' he said, looking up at her.
They just stared at each other for a moment of madness before bursting into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.
'Okay.'

Summary: With some time, Amy finally convinced you to go on a blind date, but a certain ghost made the date a little more interesting
Author's note: this is part of the ghost series, but can be read as a stand alone. Just keep in mind Dakota's a ghost here
Warnings: none
Word Count: 1,270
Part 2 of the ghost series (Blind Date can be read as a stand alone)
"So, have you tried dating?" You sighed on the phone as you stopped writing and put your pen down, along with the croissant you were eating.
"No, Amy."
"Why not? Wait you know what, you better have not without telling me. But seriously though, he would want you to move on instead of just hanging onto the thought of what can't be." Oh boy, if only she knew.
"Amy..." You warned her.
"That's it! I'm setting you up on a blind date. There's this friend of mine, and I think he'd be really into you." You groaned and burried your face into your pillow.
"Is that really necessary? Can't I just be single?"
"No, I'll give you the date, time and place. You better go or I'm dragging you there myself."
"Butâ"
"No buts, I have to go now. Bye!" She gave you no room to complain as she hung up on you. You loved your friend, and you really did appreciate her efforts, but Dakota's here and now you have a blind date with someone. This really wasn't necessary, but you're going either way whether you liked it or not, because Amy's definitely not going to give up on this.
You sighed and went back to writing your essays that were due tomorrow. Ever since college, you'd been so busy and you barely had time to go and visit your friends anymore.
"I heard something about a blind date?" Dakota appeared out of nowhere, making you jump.
"You have to stop doing that. It's the third time today."
"I just can't resist." You felt the tiny piece of croissant leave your hands and shoved into your mouth, which made you instinctively chew.
"It's been an hour and you haven't finished your croissant. Poor thing, I bet it's cold."
A few days later you had just finished college and you were in my room, contemplating what to wear for the date. You were certain that you've been spending at least thirty minutes in front of the mirror, deciding what to wear.
"Does it really matter? It's not like you're actually thinking of it as a date... right?"
"What if I am thinking of it as an actual date?"
"Don't tease me." Within a blink of an eye, Dakota was standing right behind you, his strong arms encircling your waist from behind.
"What do you say if I tag along this little 'date' of yours?" He said, beginning to leave light kisses all the way from your shoulder, up towards your neck. You didn't even try to push back the shiver that ran through your spine at the feeling of his lips on your skin.
"Mmm... okay..." You could feel the smile forming on his lips as he kissed your neck one last time before pulling away.
"Better get dressed before I carry you to bed instead." Your eyes follow his, landing onto your lack of clothing. You spent another fifteen minutes getting ready before hearing the honk of Amy's car from outside. Dakota disappeared as you went downstairs and outside into your friend's car.
"What took you so long? I texted you ten minutes ago."
You shrugged involuntarily as she started driving. "Didn't know what to wear."
"Alright. So just remember, don't be awkward, and guys like it if they can do something nice for his date, so let him pay."
"Butâ"
"Trust me." You slumped back in your seat, just wanting this all to be over with. You were probably going to scare him off or something. Well... if Dakota doesn't do that first.
Thirty minutes later and Amy's dropping you off in front of the restaurant. She helps you grab your things and urges you to go inside.
"Do I have to?" You whined, staying put in your seat.
"Yes! Now go have fun!" She ushers you out before driving away, waving at you through the window. You were standing there, annoyed, when you felt a tug on your hand, pulling you towards an empty corner. Your instincts immediately went to throw a punch, but Dakota catches your blow easily.
"Woah, calm down. It's me." He appeared right in front of you, slowly letting go of your wrist.
"Don't just do that! I thought I was getting kidnapped!"
"Thought you'd be used to it by now. You know, the whole ghost thing." He shrugged, slinging an arm around your shoulder.
"Not when you're pulling me in alleyways and corners." You patted his cheeks before striding off inside the restaurant. As the waiter leaded you towards your table, you saw no one there and you frowned.
"And he's late?" You heard the voice scoff, seeing no one there. "Come on. Just ditch him, we can have fun." Dakota continued to whisper in your ear, still not visible to the eye.
"You know I can't. He's Amy's friend and she won't let this go." As if on cue, you see a guy in a blue shirt headed towards your table. You knew Dakota was watching his every move, probably planning to do something stupid.
"Hey, are you y/n?"
"Yeah. I suppose you're my date? Derek right?" You tried not to sound so uninterested, making Dakota snort from beside you. If you could punch him right now, you really would. You just hoped that your 'date' didn't hear anything.
A few minutes later, the two of you were ordering and this was getting way too boring for you. As if he can read your mind Dakota pulled Derek's chair back a bit, just enough to make Derek look behind him.
"What's wrong?" You asked, fully knowing that Dakota was messing with him. Derek glanced around a few more seconds before turning to you.
"I could have sworn someone pulled my chair back. It's nothing." A few seconds later, a nut hit his face, making him flustered all over again.
"Whatâ whoâ?" He was cut off shortly when he fell backwards from his chair. You gaped as some faces turned towards Derek.
"Are you okay?" You quickly got up to help him.
"Yeah, I just felt something in my back and I guess I fell backwards. Oh god, this is embarrassing." His whole face flushed as you helped him onto his seat. You were pretty sure that Dakota was laughing his arse off right now.
You made your way to your own seat when the waiter came back with your food and a pitcher of water, which made you worry a little. Okay a lot. You could practically sense Dakota's next move and before you could even eat your food, Derek was drenched in water. Your mouth hung open widely as you stared at the scene in front of you.
"I-I'm sorry, I have to go." Derek rushed out of the building, you chasing after him. But before you could catch up to him, he was already gone.
"That was just mean." You scolded and Dakota appeared beside you.
"Come on, it was a little funny." He nudged your side with his elbow, and worry began to edge his face when he saw the serious look on yours.
"Poor guy." You shook your head and walked towards the bus stop. You didn't feel like having to explain the whole date to Amy as she drives you home, so you settled for the bus instead.
"Hey, I'm sorry..." Dakota whispered in your ear, disappearing from sight.
You sighed. "It's okay. I guess it was a little funny." You laughed to yourself, getting a few weird looks from the people next to you.
"On the bright side, now we can spend time together."
Au Where Everything Ends Up Okay - With Every Heartbeat
Give me an Au where Dakota or Mc wake up and realize it was all a dream, that Dakota's not really dead - they wake up in a hopital bed together with a kiss to the other one's forehead. I want them to be kind of confused over what happened but the other to fill them in that the treatment was successful - it gets fluffy and angsty because dakota/mc thought that they lost their partner but they're so so happy.
Give me an Au where it's months later and Mc goes off to their dream school - Dakota visting them every time they're able to and the rest of the time, they make up for it in facetiming. Dakota always gets super giddy about seeing Mc that they tackle them into a hug, planting a bunch of kisses on their face and they spend the night cuddling.
Give me an Au where it's years later and they both graduate, go after their dream jobs and still keep in contact.
Actress Mc is in a lot of their partner's movies and their names get written among the stars as Mc even joins films with other known actors and directors as well - Dakota ends up co-directing a film with Nolan Grant and even meeting Thomas Hunt. - Lennox and Mateo visiting every film premiere taking a bunch of goofy photos with their two hot-shot friends đâ
Doctor Mc goes forth helping more kids, becoming close friends with other doctors and surgeons - Dakota still manages to visit, bringing them flowers and years later they're (along with Lennox and Mateo) still finding ways of causing trouble with the patients - Mc allowing it just like Danni used to (even causing trouble themselves) đ⤠- Don't forget they (Mc and Mateo) also create their own gang of doctor/surgeon misfits just like oph Mc did.
Lawyer Mc fighting against the injustice and basically being this universe's Thomas Mendez, badass lawyer, extraordinaire. ;3 ⨠Dakota and Mateo getting shh'ed by the judge as they cheer Mc on while Lennox knows it's gonna rain hell for the opposite party.
Lennox goes on to become a professional athlete dispite of her prostetic leg because she's a badass that proved that she could (she even volunteers as a boxing coach at the gym which is great)
But in the end, just give me an Au where everything ends up okay because this is a love story for the ages and love stories don't end.
A/N: First of all, happy Valentineâs Day to all of you guys.
I was feeling so bad and guilty that I had written a fic for Ethan and Alishka and not for Dakota and Amber, that I couldnât help myself, and hence, I had to write this. So yes, you guys are in for a ride, and there are going to be two Valentineâs Day fics.
Also, this is complete fluff, because we are saving the angst for the series.
(And please excuse my errors if any, I havenât gone through them!)

âHey Amber,â Dakota said, sounding slightly raw and throaty. âI am running late, but Iâll be there as soon as I can. Go on and start the movie without me, I have already seen it anyway.â
Click.
Amber sighed.
No hey how are you? No hey, I am so sorry I canât make it in time ⌠just I am running late and go start the movie without me.
Classic Dakota.
âWhat did he say?â Mateo asked beside her. âIs he coming?â
A/N: Accompanies my fic Life Goes On, set in the missing ten years.
High School Graduation
Dakota tears his eyes away from the view outside his hospital window when he hears the distinctive sound of Sageâs favorite high heels approaching his door.
He smiles when he gets his first glimpse of her in her graduation regalia. âWow Teach, you look great. Congratulations, graduate.â This is also his first time seeing her new hair extensions. Now that his hair is starting to grow back, Sage is back to her usual hairstyle.
Sage smiles, bounding her way over to his bed and tucking herself under his arm. âCongratulations to you too, Dakota. I have your diploma.â She reaches for her bag that sheâs dropped on the floor, pulling out his framed diploma and handing it over reverently.
âCanât believe Iâm a high school graduate now.â Dakota reveals, reading the diploma closely. He assumes had he been well enough to attend the graduation ceremony, it would have felt more real.
âThere are very few people who could complete all their senior year assignments and exams while fighting cancer. Iâm so proud of you Dakota.â Sage praises, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
âIâm proud of you. Itâs incredible how you managed school and my cancer.â Dakota insists.
Sage shrugs, nuzzling into his neck. âIt was no biggie. I had a very cozy seat on the sideline.â She quips.
so i finally finished weh recently and i am â¨not okayâ¨
BUT i couldnât stop thinking about this ficlet and i actually really like it, so hereâs some angst for this fine day (and some slight alterations to canon but whatever) excuse the poor formatting i donât really know how to go about it for this type of thing

âHey. Hi. Itâs, um, itâs me.â Her voice rings soft through the phone, hesitant as she sits curled up on her bedroom floor.
âI, uh, I know youâll never hear this but Iâve just gotta get some things... off my chest, or whatever. Just some things Iâve been wanting to tell you but, you know, canât.
âI miss you. Like a lot. Which is probably pretty obvious, but still. Like I - I canât stop thinking about you. You pop up wherever I go, everything just reminds me of you.
âNo matter what, I just see everything youâd love or joke about or try to make the best of. Which I could use some of these days.
âAnd I know youâd probably tell me to move on or keep smiling or whatever, but I miss you. I already said that,â she laughs meekly. âBut itâs true. I miss you, and your laugh, and your jokes, and your smile, and the way youâd just make everything feel lighter.
âNow everythingâs too heavy. I keep waiting for you to text me, with a meme or a random heart or something, but thereâs just... nothing.
âAnd then I realize youâll never send me a heart out of nowhere just to remind me you love me again, and it feels like thereâs a brick on my chest.
âSo thatâs why Iâm calling,â she sighs heavily, the size of it sinking her shoulders. âI donât know why, but I kept hoping Iâd hear your voice as the line was ringing. You have such a nice voice, did I ever tell you that? I hope so, you deserved to hear it. My favorite part of the day used to be when Iâd hear you say hi.â She laughs again, stronger now, âAnd my least favorite was when you said goodbye.
âI never liked goodbyes, and now theyâre even worse. Every goodbye feels so massive now, you know? Like - like what if this is the last goodbye? What if one word is the last I get of someone?
âSorry, you donât want to hear about that. Whatâs something to tell you about?
âOh, Iâm going to school, just like you encouraged. I leave pretty soon, Iâve been putting it off as long as I can. Amy left for her classes already, but she calls me everyday.
âSheâs just the best, always there. Even when itâs three in the morning and I need a distraction from...â she clears her throat, âyeah.
âAnd her and Heather are still together. Theyâre doing so well, Iâm so happy for them. They deserve it, really. But sometimes... sometimes I put my phone on mute when sheâs texting me about her and ignore it for the rest of the day. I always feel bad, but itâs just too much.
âUm, I go to the park everyday,â she abruptly switches topics, âand just hang out. Sometimes the dog park, Iâve loved that place since we first met. All the dogs are so cute and fuzzy.
âMom says itâs good to get out, clear my head. And the flowers are pretty, so Iâm not really complaining. I still go to the hospital sometimes, too. Peds is missing you, but the kids are doing well. Hope Springs is helping a lot of people too, sometimes Mrs. Batra invites me to get lunch in the cafeteria.â
Her voice tapers off for a moment. âSomething else, something else,â she mumbles beneath her breath.
âDid I ever tell you what I first thought of you? I thought you were kinda annoying,â she giggles brightly, a smile alighting her features. ââToo insistent,â I think is what I told Amy.
âYou just seemed so sure of yourself, I didnât understand how anyone could be that confident and not be suspicious. You just knew what you wanted, and it was so obvious you would get it. I - I truly admire that now. I love that about you. To be fair, I love everything about you, but still.
âAnd then when you asked me to be your girlfriend, I was so surprised. When you asked me out that first time, too. Even when you said you loved me, I just... Dakota Winchester wanted me to be their girlfriend. It seemed impossible. Still does, honestly,â she turns breathless, lost in memories for a minute. âBut here we are. Er... here I am.
âUm, Mateo and Lennox are doing well. Theyâre sweet. They keep trying to help and be there for me, but thereâs not much they can do but keep themselves afloat.
âMateoâs been sending me a random selfie every day to try and make me laugh. Todayâs was him running from a store clerk with a broom. He says heâs innocent, but I donât think I believe him.
âAnd Lennox... I donât think she really knows what to do with me. Sheâs taken us all boxing a few times, but outside of that... She doesnât talk much, or text unless Mateo invites her to something, but she never really talked much, I suppose.
âShe, um, she bought me something. She gave it to me the day after graduation. I made a speech at graduation, actually. About you. Amy cleared it with the principal. I had butterflies the whole time,â she giggles. âIf I wasnât talking about you I probably would have run.
âBut itâs a, uh, keychain,â she switches back. âItâs one of those name ones, with - with, uh... Dako-â her voice breaks before she sucks in a deep breath. âIt says Dakota. She said she thought I was lame enough to like it.â Thereâs a watery laugh, tears now openly streaming down her face.
âI mean, she was right. I -â her voice cracks again, âI love it. I always carry it now, and take it out when I get stressed, or when I need to remember you.
âMy mom keeps telling me I should stop remembering, âcause all it does is make me cry, but Iâm-â a choked sob escapes her â-Iâm just so afraid of forgetting you. I canât forget you, ever.
âI probably sound like I mess, but youâre not even listening are you, so what does it matter?â her tone darkens as she swipes beneath her eyes, harshly wiping away the tears.
âYouâre not listening now, or ever again, and youâre the only one that would listen if you were here and I know you said that - that - that you are, but how am I supposed to believe that?! Itâs been months and nothingâs changed and - and everyone always just stares at me when I say that, like - like-â she cuts off.
âAnd - and Mateo -!â She halts, catching her breath before her voice returns, calmer, softer. âAnd Mateo keeps telling me that you are listening, that you wouldnât say that unless it was true. That youâll always be here for me, and... and I havenât been able to decide if thatâs as good as either of you made it sound. If Iâm okay with you seeing me like this.
âI just know youâd hate it. Youâd hate it so much, because you always hated when I was upset. I know youâd try and make me feel better and youâd have so many jokes, and then youâd put on a horror movie and get ice cream and - and -â she stops herself for a long while, taking deep breaths to calm down and prevent sobs from fully taking over.
âI havenât watched a horror movie since,â she finally speaks up again. âAmy invited me to the movies before she left, but I turned her down. Yours was so much better than all of them anyway, and not just âcause I was the star. You put so much love into it, Iâve never seen anything like it. Iâve never seen anything like you, either.
âI wish you got the chance to make so many more movies. They would have been beautiful. Scary, but beautiful.
âEverything you do is beautiful. I miss that. The beauty every day. I miss you. I know I keep saying that but... I donât know, I canât stop... thinking about it, all of it.â
The keychain rattles as she pulls it from her pocket, the pad of her thumb tracing over the lettering. âDakota,â she whispers, reverently. âI looked your name up a while ago. Means âfriend.â I couldnât think of anything more fitting. My Dakota, the friend to everyone.â
She sniffles, the keychain clinking again. âI, um, I should go. Lennox is taking me to meet Mateo at the diner. We get milkshakes every Saturday and I donât want to be late. I love you. So much. And I miss you so much, too and - and bye. For now, okay? Just for now.â
The phone hangs up, and she prays it can be heard. That they were right, and Dakota really was listening. Prays that the dial tone rings on an open line.
She doesnât want to say anything, but eventually she has to. After all, theyâre Prom Royalty tonight. Thereâs no way their absence from the Edenbrook Prom hasnât been noticed by now.
âShould we head back down there?â Sage asks quietly, breaking the comfortable silence between the pair.
Dakotaâs index finger momentarily pauses in its absent-minded tracing of stars, hearts, and what Sage surmises must be ghosts, based on the wavy lines at the bottom, on her bare back. He restarts the invisible drawings on her hip before he finally replies. âHonestly, I just want to stay up here with my incredible girlfriend. Letâs never leave this bed.â
Sage smiles, lifting her head from where it was tucked under his chin. âThat offer would be much more appealing if this was a Queen instead of a hospital bed.â Â
Dakota laughs, and Sage smiles at her unending ability to make him do that, further entwining her legs with his. Sheâs no longer worried about what the other prom attendees are thinking about their absence as the teens fall into another comfortable silence.
Stacy and MCs summer vacation HC??? Btw love your blog đđ
youâre are so kind, aw!Â
Summer Vacation With Stacy
After graduation, Stacy invites the crew up to her parentsâ beachfront house about an hour out of townÂ
They throw a huge party to celebrate and a ton of people from school show up, while the party rages Stacy invites MC for a walk along the beach
they stroll hand in hand watching the waves crash against the sand, Stacy smiles the entire time falling into the warmth of MCâs touch
âI donât want to leave tomorrow, Stace. I wish we could stay here together for a while.â
âWhy donât we then?â Stacy pulls MC to a stop facing them and she talks plans of just the two of you staying out here for a few weeks to just be together and enjoy each otherâs company âJust think about it.â
They join the party to find Andy, Lucas, Dan, Ava, and Lily doing the dance they all made up as kids, MC and Stacy, of course, joining laughing well into the night
MC agrees and the next day Connor drives everyone home while MC and Stacy lounge around on a couch listening to musicÂ
They constantly fall asleep in each otherâs arms, Stacy loves the physical contact it makes her feel warm and fuzzy inside, and she loves falling asleep to the sound of MCâs heartbeat
Stacy gets MC to come with her to the beach all the time, they spend a few hours every day chasing each other around and splashing each other in the water, Stacy never sounded so happy and carefree her laugh constantly filling the air
Stacy wore a bikini around all the time, her favorite top was black and had sheer fabric that tied around the neck, she was always showing off whether casually stretching or just cooking dinner, she works hard for her body and loves when MC admires it
Stacy holds MCâs hand all the time when they walk around or go to the store, she never wants to let their hand go, itâs the sweetest gentlest connection of love to her that she always wants to do it with MC
Stacy purposely buy lotion that you have to rub onto someone and always innocently asks MC to rub it on her back with a smirk, MC doesnât mind and always spends a part of the morning massaging it into her skin letting their fingers linger on her warm skin
Stacy and MC stay up late into the night talking, whether itâs in bed or on the beach, theyâre always just talking about everything and anything, Stacy confesses fears and worries sheâs never told anyone to MC and MC always holds her and comforts her
Stacy sometimes needs reassurance that MC still wants to stay at the beach house with her, no matter how badass she is sometimes she just gets a little insecure.Â
âI would stay on this beach for the rest of my life if it meant being with you, Stace.â
during the stay, they both discover a lot about each other, exploring a lot of each other and the wilderness around them
âMom never let us swim past here..â
âLetâs go thenâŚletâs make new adventures.â
Stacy finds an underwater cave that leads into a dry den full of luscious flowers, it glows inside there even with no sun, and bats scurry around in there and Stacy and MC help nurse an injured bat back to health.
When Stacy disappears for a breather or to have a minute alone she always goes to the cave and listens to the sounds the bats make and comfort their injured companion
MC and Stacy got into a petty argument and MC finds Stacy in there talking to the bat, they listen in not alerting Stacy to their presence
âI think Iâm in love with MC, batty.â
The last night theyâre there the crew comes back to visit them, Lily brings a few board games, Ava and Andy bring a bunch of pizzas, Lucas brings a few shitty movies his parents own, and Dan brings some booze he took from his mom
âAttaboy Dan.â Ava laughs taking one from him.
They spend the night getting drunk and playing board games and laughing at the shitty movies Lucas brings towards the end of the night, Lucas passes out on the couch and Andy and Ava draw all over his face trying to compress their laughter to not wake him up
Stacy sits on the counter in the kitchen, MC between her legs kissing her their hands tracing over the curves of her body causing her to shiver at MCâs touch with a soft moan.
âStaceâŚ?â
âYeah?â
âI love you.â
Stacy kissing MC again as their hands massage her thighs.
âI love you, too.â
The next morning afternoon everyone gets ready to leave and Lucas is in the bathroom yelling about the drawing on his face as Ava and Andy double over laughing.
Lily tries to help him get it off, but Lucas makes her leave the bathroom after she canât contain her laughter
MC and Stacy find themselves on the beach for one last time, holding hands and laying in the sand staring at one another smiling.
âWeâll come back next year right?â
âI will if youâre there, MC. Did you mean it last night, when you said you loved me?â
âThereâs not a single girl in the world Iâd rather be with. Youâre the love of my life, Stace.â
Stacy and MC walk hand in hand towards the car as everyone loads it up, Lily smiles at them and Ava rolls her eyes, Lucas elbows her in the ribs and everyone climbs into the car Stacy driving MC passenger and everyone else cramped in the back seats.
The radio and sounds of laughter fill the car as MC grins at Stacy the entire ride home
Disney w/Stacy (another vacation with Stacy you might want to read (; )
Can I please request Mc x stacy.. things you said while you thought I was asleep.
things you said when you thought i was asleep
Stacy Green x MC
Stacy comes home very late from work that night, itâs not unusual for that to happen, itâs just unusual that she chooses not to call tonight. MC lays on their side of the bed, holding their arms to their chest. They listen as Stacy sets her phone the dresser, hangs her coat in the closet, and come to their side of the bed. They can feel Stacyâs gaze on themselves, and they wonder if they should say somethingâŚthey decide against it.
Stacy places a soft kiss on their temple, âGood night, MC. I love you.â Itâs very quiet, almost as though a mouse is speaking, MC wonders if they should reach out to her, comfort her, but theyâre unsure. Stacy moves around the room more, dropping her work clothes onto the floor, dropping her bra down with a content sigh. She pulls on her nighties before sitting down on the bed.
Itâs silent for a while, Stacyâs breathing filling the room. MC recognizes the tone of breathing, itâs her sad breathing. When sheâs trying hard to hold back her tears and let herself fall apart there on the scene. Before long, sheâs sobbing. Her body shakes with the bed, as she tries to silence herself. âdonât wake up MC, Stacy, be a good girlfriend. Let them sleep, they work hard for everything you have.â
MC pushes their lips together, sneaking a peek at Stacy. Sheâs slouched over he head hanging low with her hair falling in front of her face with a steadying breath. MC quickly jerks their head to place, pretending to stir a little. The room goes silent again and Stacy pulls back the covers tucking herself in the bed, she doesnât wrap her arms around MC like she usually does, just stays silent. MC tries to fall asleep, give Stacy time to recover and feel okay, they know how she can act when sheâs in that state of mind.
âI wish I could talk to you MC.â They feel Stacy turn in the bed, knowing sheâs staring at the ceiling. Stacy breathes a deep breath. âSometimes, I just donât understand why I told Jane I wasnât scared.â
MC feels their heartbreak in their chest, they want to reach out hug her and love her, but they know theyâre in too deep to stop now. âI just try so damn hard in my life, cheer, school, work, and you. Iâm always pushing myself so damn hard, to be better to make myself someone my mom doesnât have to force herself to proud of, but it hurts MC, it hurts everyday waking and wanting to die. It hurts waking up and seeing my incredible life with you and not being able to appreciate it completely.â
MC sucks in their breath, using everything in them to hold it together, to pretend to be asleep for her sake. âSometimes, I just wish I wouldnât have had you to help me be strong, to help me yell at her and stand up to my mom. I look around me and I just wonder how much happier youâd be with me gone, I mean Ava had a huge crush on you, you could be with someone like her, yet here you are in my bed with me, and I donât understand why.â
Stacy cries to herself for a while, her body softly shaking with fear and sadness, letting her eyes stare at the ceiling fan. MC doesnât know what to do anymore, should they tell her? Should they talk to her about therapy, what do you do when the love of your life tells you she wanted to die for the past 2 years, at the least. âI just want you to know how much I love you MC. I just want you to know this. I know if you were awake youâd hug me and tell me youâll always be here for me, but it doesnât change how sad I am. I just feel so much guilt about everything MC, I wish I could have taken Janeâs spot even, given Noah a chance at redeeming himself, but no. Sometimes I just feel that burning pain across my shoulder and I just want to go back.â
âJust go back and make a choice youâd never be proud of me making if you knew the truth. I know tomorrow weâll wake up, Iâll tell you I love you ignore your bad morning breath, youâll make me breakfast and then Iâll be alone all day at work, school, and practice. And youâll be with your friends and youâll help Lucas with his project and youâll live it up, and Iâll be there, feeling guilty for not appreciating you.â Stacy cries harder, finally letting herself make a noise, a crying noise, she feels grateful MC is a heavy sleeper, but that only works if MCâs asleep. She buries her face in her pillow letting it all out.
âIf only you knew. If only I run awayâŚâ She finally whispers. She pulls the covers tightly around her body refusing to make body contact with me and lays silently for a long time. it feels like forever before Stacy falls asleep and MC finally lets the tears silently flow. They wipe their face, closing their eyes forcing themselves to fall asleep, but how do you live with the truth? How do you live with what she just told you? How do you live without your reason to be alive?
