Maybe her actions were unclear to others, borderline insane to be kind to her enemies and gentle to those who hurt her, but it made sense to her--it made sense to her heart. She couldn't live with herself if she brought hate into her world, willingly, no matter how much others threw it upon her and drowned her in it. There was already so much pain in the world, so much anger and spite and hurt. How could she add onto that? How could she forgive herself if she did?
