Did three different timelaps videos of more or less building the base of the corset for sakizou’s artwork of Cancer (astrological sign).
The first bit is just serging the sides (I’ll do the top and bottom after I cut them to the shape I want) and making sure the front and lining pieces are the same size to make matching them up later easier.
The second is actually building the front (and me realizing I lined half of it up wrong), cutting off when I started taking it apart to save time.
The third is the lining as well as laying the front and lining together to mark their matching points (for boning placement), as despite earlier efforts, nothing ever lines up perfectly at 2am.
I really enjoyed doing the timelaps videos, just because I know actually streaming me working isn’t something I can so much do because there is a lot of stop-and-go, as well as I watch/listen to things while I work that I don’t really pay attention to, and can sometimes work for super long periods of time as well as get really vocal in my thoughts about sewing, haha. Along with apps like Instagram and Snapchat, it’s a really easy way to document work while also showing the actual process of getting to those #wip pictures.
