I was talking to one of my friends today and she had a really good point. Maybe all this shit happening is the universes way of telling me to wait.

Liquid Diet /// Day 10

Went to Barnes and Noble yesterday for some poetry. Trying to find the things that used to make me happy.

Also went to the movies and that was a challenge. It’s not that I’m hungry...it’s that I miss the taste. And the ritual of it.

Only a few more days to go until surgery. I just need to push though.

Liquid Diet /// Day 8

Okay so I’ve been at this for one week and here’s what I’ve learned: I have WAY more self control than I realized. Also, when you’re on a liquid diet, maybe don’t go somewhere where people are eating and drinking.

Last night I went to the comedy club with my parents for my birthday. I got free tickets and figured, why not. They have a two item minimum when you go, but my mom’s a motherfucking champ and took one for the team (read: me). But the people in front of us ordered food and I could smell it and even though I was pretty sure it was stuff I don’t like, I wanted it. So I opened my purse and took out my protein shake. Delicious. Today and yesterday were also the first two days I’ve actually been hungry. Which is worrisome because spring break started today so I’m basically home for the next week waiting. That’s a GREAT idea.

But at least my plush liver is there to keep me company and remind me why I’m doing this.

My mom said something to me last night. Basically, if you wanted to challenge me, this was a great time to do it since it was both my birthday and spring break. But I’m determined. I want this so badly for my future that I’m doing everything in my power to make sure my body is ready to be cut and switched around. It WILL be worth it.
