I think.. I think I might write this one fr 🤞 just bc it's been on my mind ever since I started playing the game. Mostly, when I think of moonlight I think of "missed chances" bc of not being able to voice your feelings or overthinking hfjbfjf add to that the fact that Xavier does not recognize her at all at first. This changes a major part of the lore, specially considering his entire "I recognized you the moment I saw you" (not if I say you didn't /j). But. Hear me out.

Selena is for Rafayel, and I like leaning into her looking different on every timeline at least... until he enters the picture. Now;!!! mashing LI timelines is super messy but consider the following: Lightseeker + KoD happens. (her appearance shifts in both myths).

And then.. GoT happens. With the information we have so far, this is Rafayel's first myth and where his bond with mc is formed. All up until this myth her appearance changed, but now that she's formed a bond with Rafayel and she literally has his heart, that left a mark on her. Hence her double-coloredd eyes (though different from Raf bc she's the moon) and the black hair. If we take Tears of Romiro into account I think maybe she wanted to embody that night before her sacrifice, with the moon behind them, and from then on she looks the way she does now in every life.

Skip to present timeline and not only is Selena repressing her memories of Gaia, but she's repressing her Evol, and now her energy is mixed with that of the ocean. This is what's throwing Xavier off, what would keep him from realizing is the bond with Raf.

And anyway... just... angst based on that after the realization heuebueje a small lore™ ramble

I was gonna make a post talking about Ilkay x lads li's cause I was thinking about how Ilkay calls Xavier "hyung" because he assumed Xavier was older (he's correct on the assumption) but like... He's bound to find out Xavier is "23" and have a bit of a "wait, what?" moment about it that has him reconsidering if he should keep calling him "hyung" or just drop the honorific altogether because Ilkay is "older"....

And it would be too early for Xavier to be like "well, I'm actually from a different planet so I am older than you" or whatever the fuck he could say that would reveal he's actually much older than he seems and all that other stuff...

Unless Ilkay never asks how old he is, which would be impossible because he's there to celebrate Xavier's birthday for the first time with Nevaeh and the work gang...

Went and checked the timeline....

Ilkay is 21/22 when they met and he learns Xavier's age, so that whole "is he my hyung or not?" thing never needs to happen

Having that "oh, I like that expression, I wanna see that again" thought (it happened with Rafayel blushing and Xavier giving puppy eyes/that "stern" look)

Becoming obsessed with their eyes (Zayne, Sylus and Caleb's)

And insulting them lovingly, a "little shit" here, a "lucky bastard" there, maybe even a "what a fucking nerd/loser" although nerd is less of an insult and more of a compliment to me

I was thinking about Nevaeh and saying I love you and...

Because she's like me, she'll say it completely randomly. Like, it's a quiet moment, they're chilling together, doing their separate thing or doing a task together, and she'll pause, stare at them for a while before softly saying "hey, I love you."

And that'll be it.

If she says it first, she'll nervously add that they don't have to say it back, that she just needed to say it out loud. But if they've already said it first, that's the moment where they get to hear her say it if she didn't say it back that first time.

I say that because she needs to get comfortable with the idea of saying the words out loud before she can actually express it. It's one thing to know and show it through actions, it's another to say it in words and for her, words are harder. And if the li's say it during a time where she wasn't ready to say it yet, she's gonna tell them "I feel the same way, I'm just not comfortable saying it yet" so yeah, that's Nevaeh and saying I love you.
