A little kinda secret blog for yapping about things.

I'm Carter or Beetle! I'm trans masc & mainly use he/bite/pup pronouns but would love if you used fawn/bug/moss/sky/dew for me as well!! I'm a dog therian (unsure the breed), and pretty sure I'm a deer therian as well, but still questioning. I'm also a questioning vampirekin, but I'm still unsure about it.

I am a minor. Please keep this in mind. If you don't want minors interacting with you, don't interact with me.

My main blog is @outtathosewoods, but shhh, don't mention this blog over there, I wanna keep it a bit of a secret.

Uh... I don't really know what else to say. I might vent on here a bit, but I'll try not to.

Also I'm still figuring out what I am, I've been questioning if I was a therian for at least a year, and only just now confirmed that I am indeed a dog, so this is new to me. I might say that I've figured out that I'm something, and then later realize that I'm not. I'm still finding out what I am. I hope one day I'll be certain and secure in what I am, but right now I'm still incredibly confused!

Experiencing therianthropy offline is key for when you talk about your experiences online.

Part of what makes identifying as a non-human creature so wonderful is the diversity of experiences that others bring into the community.

Being a cat doesn’t look the same for every cat, for example. It’s easy to get swept up in trending songs that a popular cat therian is doing, but you aren’t required to participate as a cat yourself. Some cats don’t like fish, some cats work grueling full-time jobs, some cats identify as a cat and leave it as that.

The most powerful someone can be is at their most authentic self, and social media is a harsh landscape for being authentic. Success in numbers is a give and take - to be widely liked is to be a figure that can do no wrong, that can make everyone smile.

So don’t become taxidermy! Become alive, frothing at the mouth, let your fur be matted, let your eyes shine. Become imperfect, for the land only asks of you to live.

My boyfriend started calling me Puppy recently after he asked me about my preferences and it was actually amazing. I've never been this happy. I'm so excited to teach him more and show him more of me.

I AM MY KINTYPE. That's what non-humanity is about. It's not "a strong connection", it's not only a past life or an aesthetic, it's litterally all/any/some level(s) of your identity. Who you are. What you are. You absolutely can feel human to some extent, and that's OK. But if you don't feel like you ARE your kintype on any level (which disqualifies you from non-humanity), then you are just... human

I don't care if you think this is a "coping mechanism" because, so what if it is? So I found a way to love myself and handle what is, for me, a very dark reality? And I'm not hurting myself or anybody else?

And I don't care if you think this is all a delusion, either. Even if it is, you're not my doctor. You're not part of my care team. I didn’t ask you for a "reality check." Stay in your lane.

And if you think I'm just "playing pretend?" Who cares? I'm not, but why do you care so much? Is it because you think I'm having fun, that I never stopped imagining, playing, creating? And why is this your business, anyway?

A message to the younger members of the community, and those who doubt there place in it:

Beings don't care.

I went to a therian meet up over anthro northwest. And it was NOTHING like the current online spaces, especially all the discourse.

There was no fighting. It was beautiful. Beings were freely using whatever labels they wanted, no one cared "why" someone identified as something, mental, spiritual, physical. Everyone was like "Hey, cool!".

Older folks talked about their time in the community while the younger ones did quads. People howled, played with squeak toys. No one cared. And most importantly, everyone agreed the infighting was pointless.

You WILL be accepted irl. This discourse doesn't matter. You are going to find your beings, and none of these online pissing contests mean anything once you meet others off the screen.

It's a beautiful place out there.
