Cleaved is about how my Iggy lost his leg and the events surrounding it. And at the core of it all: the responsibility Ludwig feels to protect his younger siblings even if it means putting himself in danger.

Gabriel fronts most often, but here's general ideas on what the others do when fronting;
Caine
Caine is a trauma holder as well as persecutor. The memories he holds causes him a large amount of stress. He tends to take the stress out on others and the body.
He doesn't mean to hurt them. But he gets so angry and afraid he just wants everyone to go away.
He prefers keeping to himself. One of the few things that can calm him down is reading. He's most at peace in heaven's archives.
Abel
Abel can be triggered to front when Gabriel or anyone else is under high enough stress.
While fronting he patches up any wounds on the body and makes sure they've eaten.
He enjoys cleaning and organizing.
He also cooks meals for later.
Beryl
Beryl is very elegant and orderly, she can be triggered to front via music.
She enjoys dancing and singing.
Beryl can also play the lyre, she enjoys doing so when in private.
She's a sweetheart, but can have a small temper. And she's the kind to have a silent, terrifying kind of anger.
Beryl once berated V1 after it got blood on her. She despises their clothes getting messy despite the fact Gabriel is a warrior and WILL get bloodied.

As for how Gabriel discovered his system? Well...
It was an awful time, Gabriel was at his lowest; a breaking point.
The council has been awful, they've always been. But... One in particular stepped a line Gabriel never thought possible. It hurt badly, it tore him apart emotionally. What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to feel? Could he tell anyone? He felt weak. He felt pathetic for not being able to fight back.
The heavenly Father is dead, his voice long gone. Gabriel was alone in his suffering. His wounds oozing ivory as tears flooded his helmet.
It was Abel's voice he first heard. A quiet murmur.
"it'll be okay."
The comfort yet fear in hearing a voice again. But the voice was soothing, one who wished to help.
Slowly, Gabriel was pulled away.
It took a while before Gabriel became familiar with everyone, but present day he's doing... As well as he can be.
Caine is both fascinated by it and pissed at V1 for... Well all of Ultrakill's events really. He tends to jump it on sight. But... If Gabriel loves this thing so much, he'll spare it...
Abel is incredibly interested and has a very intense urge to study V1's mechanics and understand how it fuels itself on blood. But he also tries to keep a distance. He'd poke V1 with a stick 100%.
Beryl tries really hard to get V1 to be less... Feral with how it acts. She's really tired of trying to wash the blood off it and the body. But she does find it cute. Like in the way a person may see a big cat that could easily kill them and go "aww kitty"
Also I'm very interested to hear about your plural Ferryman you mentioned.... I doodled ferryman (idea was it's your ferry) and my Gabriel drinking tea bec they deserve something nice...
I love how so many people also like calling Ferryman Charon... I just started doing it on my own bc I love Greek mythology but I was surprised to find out it's a common sentiment!
