I am mobile most of the time. I don't use icons and may require your help in cutting threads here and there.

I work 40+ hours a week and also foster for a dog rescue and two cat rescues. I have more animals than I care to admit living with me that have been rescued and are waiting for homes. I RP for fun, so my replies come slow.

Bucky looks at the glass of water for a few seconds too long, contemplating if it's safe to drink or if he really wants to show weakness at a time like this.

But panic is crawling ever so slowly up his throat, and maybe, just maybe, he can swallow it back down with the cooling relief of water.

He lets out a cough, dry and harsh, and offers a stiff nod.

"Yeah, okay. Uh...thanks."

He looks up, eyes softened and lips twitched into the slightest curl around the edges. He's trying to appear grateful, perhaps even reassuring - but whether or not it works is lost on him as the glass of water touches his mouth and the first sip of water slips past his lips and down his throat.

"What...?" Bucky is conscious in flashes. Flashes of color, flashes of light, and flashes of sound. He is only distantly aware of his mortality hanging in the balance, more acutely aware of the dull ache throbbing in his lower chest. He winces, eyes fluttering open to fight against the light and he makes out the silhouette of someone above him.

"I'm awake." He says, and its nearly lifeless. His voice is raspy and reduced to a whisper as he fights to gather his strength.

Tell her something? What is there to tell?

"Uh...my favorite- my favorite ice cream is ..." he pauses to groan, feeling his body shift involuntarily as if to move away from the source of pain. "M-mint chocolate chip."

[ i just dosed and dewormed two puppies, a dog, and three kittens as well as gave eye drops to a kitten with a little eye infection.

I feel like a damn vet lol. I just have all this stuff laying around my house now that I rescue and foster. ]

Bucky's eyes snap to her with ferocity, widened and intense like a trapped animal. His breath wavers for a single inhale before he manages to get it back under control.

His harsh gaze softens. His hands unclench.

His heart rate slows back down to near normal.

"...Yes." he says after a few moments, grateful that she has the compassion and understanding to ask first. Had she simply reached out and grabbed him, he could have potentially broken her arm by accident- or worse.

He doesn't want to think about worse.

"Thank you."
