day 30 of #junevinylworship "album of the year so far". @davidbowie "blackstar" is more then the album of the year. it transcends genre and even art itself. it's a movement, a gift, a lesson in how to live and die. the first pressing came to me on release day. it didn't leave the turntable for a week. I listened non stop over the course of that weekend and woke up that Monday and cried. I still cry when I think about him and what he gave to the world. not just his art but his gifts to humanity. I doubt any other artist will mean as much to me. (at Jed's Record Room)

I could have used this for day 21 as well but here it is. old record that is new to my collection. this is the first #swans record I heard that really grabbed me and made me a fan. I had heard earlier recordings but I just wasn't ready for the intensity of "filth". now I can't get enough.
