Kit Harington as Jon Snow in S5E05, “Kill the Boy” (x)
Isn’t he cute? My mum came to set halfway through filming, after he’d finished, and they showed her a little picture of him and she kinda let out a gasp because they picked a very good little double for me. When I was a kid - I’m not saying I was cute - but he looked like me. It was kinda weird. (x)

My name is Jon Snow, Channel 4 news journalist and part time consumer of powerful skunk. Just joking… (x)
I sworn to stay clear of the politics of the Seven Kingdoms. Have you now?

I know. But I still love her.
Dying of jealousy! Kit and Kit! #youknownothinjonsnow (x)
I have a line in the film, ‘I’d like to see Vera again, Mrs. Brittain, fully chaperoned of course’. You’d never hear that now. The film shows a lot about how women were repressed at this time and what their role was during the war. The importance of showing the chaperone scene is that it highlights the restrictions placed on Vera and how all that was about to change. - Kit Harington

I do feel lucky… You have to look at your blessings, don’t you? With Thrones, I have to realise that, whatever happens, and for all the stress and the pressure that goes with it, it’s been an extraordinary journey and I know I’ll look back later in my life and think. ‘That was crazy, that was amazing.’ It’s something that very, very few people experience and I love that.- Kit Harington for MrPorter.Com
Kit’s mother, Deborah, taught creative writing at Birmingham University and wrote plays on the side. “I remember going to see some of her plays when we were young. It caused her a lot of stress. On the night of the premiere she would grip my hand so hard it hurt. Afterwards she would rush out of the theatre with her hands over her ears before she could hear anyone say anything about it. It’s the same for me. We spoke about it recently and bonded over it. It was terrifying for her, and I have the same thing now when I go to a premiere of one of my performances.” | Kit Harington photographed by Dean Chalkley for The Observer Magazine

“In my private life I like to think so. I’m not humorless. But perhaps it’s not a side that people see very often.”
However, the 28-year-old star is hoping an upcoming role in critically acclaimed short comedy movie ‘7 Days in Hell’ will change people’s perceptions about him, as he believes it proves he can be funny.
Speaking about the production - which recently premiered at the South by South West festival in Texas - he told the Observer newspaper: “I play a very stupid English tennis player with an over controlling mother. I haven’t been in much comedy for a while. You find out very quickly if you can do it or not.”
Despite his best efforts to branch out and escape the role which has made him a household name, Kit - who plays the lead character in the upcoming thriller 'Spooks: The Greater Good’ - believes his character, Jon Snow, in the epic HBO drama is what he will always be known for, regardless of other roles he plays.
He admitted: “I accepted that I’ll most likely be remembered for Jon Snow a long time ago.” - [x]
