SPOILERS FOR MOUTHWASHING

Hi hi~!!! It's Rei here, with some new art for you guys! This time it's Swansea from the game Mouthwashing during his mercy kill of Daisuke. The scene was definitely one of the saddest scene in the game (right next to Anya's death and the finale.) and I wanted to capture that here. I'm especially proud of the renaissance halo I gave Swansea using the sunset video screen (even though its an emergency warning in the game). I also feel like I'm improving on my anatomy as well! As always I welcome all criticism, so please give me your thoughts where you can! Thank you all~!!

Hi hi, it's Rei here. Back to give you guys some more art. I won't lie, your girl has been going through a bit of tough one emotionally, and drawing it out is making it feel more manageable. I feel like I'm sabotaging myself, imploding from my own feelings of self loathing and guilt. I receive affection always from my friends and partner, so why do I feel so starved for love? Am I doomed to not experience contentment like others can? I always only feel happy in the moment, when that moment passes I feel empty and sick. I can't run, so what do I do? How do I fight a monster that's in my blood and bones? Can I fight it? Sorry for the surprise vent art, but this blog makes me feel like I can turn my thoughts to something more than weights and restraints. I appreciate you for reading this far and for viewing my art.

As always I accept criticism in all forms. Will be posting more art soon to offset the negativity.

Here's Rock Howard from Fatal Fury! I used the box method by Marc Brunet which was given to me by @miyakng ! I always adored Rock's design and loved how much the devs of the older SNK fighting games incorporated his story (struggling to control his Father's evil ki) into his animations. Like how his empowered Raging Storm is this gorgeous bright blue to match Geese's! I even based a DnD monk off of it!

This is my first time with making a full illustration, so any and all criticism is welcomed and appreciated!!

Hi hi~!! It's Rei here! Back from a small break to bring you the next thing I'm doing! I'm continuing to practice the box method, this time converting the figures to an actual character. So here's a Rock Howard from Fatal Fury/King of Fighters/Garou. This is only the sketch for now, I plan to make this into a full and my first illustration! Complete with rendering and color!

I want to drill it in my head the construction of poses and how each piece connects together, I think then I'll be able to create better poses and proportions. Here with another drawing, this time of a full human body! It's still pretty janky even with the box method's guides but that's because I'm still so new. I'm getting better every day though...I think! The box method is one of three methods for drawing the human form listed in the video above, I chose the box method due to it being the one most recommended for beginners. [Conceptualization - Challenging: Success] Looking at the digital canvas, you see a crude facsimile of your own face, freed from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. A strange reflection created pen stroke by pen stroke from an utter novice.

Hi hi~!! It's Rei again, here on Day two of my artistic journey! With some more art this time of Harry Du Bois from Disco Elysium! Disco Elysium is one of those games that completely changed my brain chemistry, my second favorite rpg of all time (1st being Baldur's Gate 3), and what I think it did for me is put me in the very uncomfortable position of Harry's shoes.

This man in the start is a saddened, pathetic drunkard. He's a psychotic danger to himself and those around him and yet I felt a deep connection to him and his story. Not that I have ever been black out drunk to the point of amnesia, nor am I even CLOSE to as deranged as him. But the catalyst of Harry's spiral into madness and self destruction being losing the one he loves to most not in a dramatic way, but from a slow agonizing separation hurts me deeply.

I have a saying, I can't love in moderation. I either love with my whole heart or I don't love at all. My loved ones are my world and the idea of spiraling into something unrecognizable due to losing them is something I can very easily see myself doing if I were to lose my special people. Harry Du Bois' fate is entirely in your hands when you play Disco Elysium and I think because of my sympathy I did everything in my power to straighten him up, get him off the booze, lose The Expression, turn him into a respectable member of society. I think maybe in a strange sense it gives me hope that if I ever lost someone like he did I could get back on my feet just like my Harry did.

Alright enough weird rambling~! I'll be doing my absolute best to continue learning and practicing the human form~! Thank you all for tuning in~! Have a lovely day~!!

Here's come some new chicken scratch!! Hi hi~!! It's Rei again with some art of my current street fighter main. The Crazy-Eyed Psycho Boxer, Ed~!!! Ed represents one of my favorite type of character tropes that being good guys who still act villainous. That and men with a delusional level of confidence. His psycho power and area control are incredibly fun to mess around with and trip fools up >:) Anyways! This was my first time doing any kind of full body drawing, and as such there's a lot of work to be done, but hopefully this can be the start of something beautiful!
