“The kingling better not be expecting a present from me.” Or even wishing him a happy birthday.

He doesn’t say anything to that last comment, the slight smirk on his face really said all that needed to be said as he pulled his own blades from where he had set them as he had been relaxing. Moving over to where they had been training just a short time ago.
“I’m ready when you are.” Ever courteous and making sure she was ready.
“You know, one of these days your nature is probably going to be the death of you.” She spoke pulling down her helmet. Aranea let out a breath as she took a cautionary stance. With a deep breath she moved forward lunging at him several times almost lazily.
elementalretainer:
Really she could have chosen far better wording for that lest it be on purpose. And really the thought was amusing. “Is that so?” he set the now empty coffee cup as he stood up from where he had been resting
He rolled his shoulder slightly and spoke with the faintest smirk “I suppose we will find out who ends up on top during the match now won’t we?”
Eyes remained trained on his face. With pursed lips she raised a brow at his choice of words. “It’s cute that you think you’d be able to handle me. Or that I’d even let you take top.” The woman finished her half-hearted stretches and picked up her weapon.
“But I suppose it’d be good to know how long you can last, at least.” Aranea moved a distance from the rest spot and spun on her heels giving a grin in return.
elementalretainer:
The look on his face changed from contemplation as he sipped his coffee to slight amusement, considering she was still deigning to be and train together here despite the protests. “I do believe break time is just about over and done. Perhaps you can channel that into what is to come.” He didn’t want to get rusty, there would be dire consequences if he did, though he couldn’t deny, nor say aloud, he enjoyed this a bit more than he let on.
A heavy sigh was pushed out through her nose. Eyes narrowed as if expecting him to make some smart ass comment that would only piss her off. Aranea kept a cold glare fixed on his face as though daring him to say something.
“Oh, I’m definitely about to enjoy the experience.” The woman stood up and stretched out her body. She would definitely take her her time beating the frustrations out on him. “Though I hope you don’t mind being beaten so bad that you can’t even walk.”
elementalretainer:
*sips coffee*
“You’re impossible...”
“He’s going to be the death of me...”
“Just don’t ask me to babysit...”
Two daggerquill were dragged by their wings to the campfire the dragoon had setup. They were tossed to the ground in front of a rock that she decided to use as a seat as she started to pluck the feathers from the beasts with a heavy sigh.

He motioned with his fork over to the others who were already eating “It seems I made a bit extra.” Eat it or not it was up to her but it was best not to let it go to waste “Besides while you are here it would be rather rude not to offer.” especially when there was some to spare.
She followed the motion and let out a faint groan. “Seems you made a bit extra, or intentionally did so?” She was certain it was the latter. Well, there was no point letting the food go to waste, especially with the fighting that lay ahead of them. Setting down the drink she picked up the plate of food. “If you’re expecting a thank you, don’t hold your breath.”
What Are You Really
The Werewolf
You're misunderstood and lonesome. You feel like you're constantly fighting a battle with no chance of winning. You were dealt some heavy burden that you continue to carry. At any given chance you cry out, the sound melancholic. You call yourself a lone wolf, but there are few who consider themselves part of your pack. Take more care to notice the small things in life that show you love and kindness.
elementalretainer:
And yet a plate has already been set next to her with a light clack. She wouldn’t outright waste it now would she, especially when the smell was so tempting and it was right there. With that he moved to sit down and enjoy his own helping.
What a pain? She lets out a sigh and shakes her head, simply staring the man down for a long moment. Turning it down sounded like a good idea still... No matter how tempting it was. “Shouldn’t you be cooking for the princeling and the rest of the children in your group?” Not her?
elementalretainer:
Is that the smell of Leiden Jambalaya? Yes it is. He is making dinner for himself sure but there’s more than enough for her to have some.
The smell is tempting, but she seems to be sticking to the beer, making no move for the food.
Does her dinner consist of just a pint of beer? Yes it does.
(I haven’t been here in a thousand years, and now I’m getting new followers...?!)
“Fire!”
The shield flew up with a strong rush of heated air, surrounding the boy’s body just in time for the monster in question to ram against it, his weaker magic nearly crumbling from the force. Aiden cursed under his breath, hesitating before pushing forward with his keyblade, swiping at the daemon’s body in an attempt to knock it back.
He was nowhere near as strong, or as skilled as Vanitas, Aiden was struggling to fight the large beast with only his defensive magics, mostly avoiding every attack that came his way.
But drawing it away from the yard was his most goal.
Talk about a mess. What the hell was a kid doing out at a time like this? Didn’t anyone warn him about the Daemons? Eyes narrowed behind the mask that she wore. He was just going to end up getting himself killed. At least there was some luck for the kid.
It took no time to start messing with device on her spear, before quite literally jumping into the fray, using the technology to get her some good height, before bearing down the full weight upon the daemon. “Don’t you think you should be starting a bit smaller?” The woman called to the boy beyond the monster. Landing upon the ground she drove her lance towards the creature.
At least there was the easy excuse of money for why she was even here.
At least she doesn’t have to deal with the Sunday shenanigans.
