Do you know; I’m not honestly sure Darem knows what’s going on when he gets all jealous around Kyle and all longing lingering stares at Jay-den.

He’s put on a fake persona at home.

He’s got an entirely different fake persona at the Academy.

He keeps his actual real physical face hidden behind a disguise of being human most of the time.

Maybe when he walks away from being snippy at Kyle or staring into Jay-dens eyes a little too long, his entire internal conversation is ‘why? Why did I do that? What is going on with me?’

And he has no idea because he’s never really had a chance to be himself - never had a chance to learn the kind of person he is when he is with Jay-den - kind, thoughtful, devoted, longing, possessive - is who he really is.

This is a huge journey of discovery and acceptance for Darem. (And how irritating that Kyle seems to know exactly who he, Kyle, is and likes it too.)
