I want to give A BIG SHOUT OUT to Bid4Oban especial Kay Macdonald and Andrew Spence who have brightened up our town against all the odds of funding, weather and logistics! Our town is a special town as i have found out by other places I have lived It has the heart of a lion by making things happen💕 I couldn’t be prouder of it. As close as 1 month ago there was still a sad risk we wouldn’t have had lights due to lack of funds. We joined in to help by making our hearts towards the fund but knew this is a small show of help that might not even effect anything until next years lights so we also joined the funding board to see how we could help. Behind the scenes I have watched the impossible happen with funding being accepted at the final moment, members of the community traveling for miles to collect undelivered parts, businesses coming together to give funding, not to mention the team putting up the lights in the wettest and wildest conditions at all hours of the day and night! We are humbled to now look at these lights and know our winter will NOT be spent in darkness while the big cities 3hours from here light the skies. Our town can keep shining and spreading hope and happiness to all who goes through it. This is the first turning point for our dark winters with everything going on in the world we need a bit of cheer to keep our own hearts fighting on. I know from people who visited my shop yesterday from other areas where thrilled of the way this place puts its best foot forward in winter to allow them a place to visit! So…. This is a great thing for the town! It will bring in revenue and it will keep our community strong! It will in a small way keep our heads a little less stressed when we see these colourful lights!
