I figure I might as well post this now that names are revealed. I wrote this for the Yuletide ‘20 exchange. Just a little Nova/Thalia flirting with a heaping side of being adults, because sometimes I just want fictional characters to be reasonable people.

This reminds me of the beginning of campaign when Quill asked: “Where’s the bright one? The colorful one?” when they fell out of the ship.

I have gazillion sketches of Lucius and I slack off and never finish them. This one is neither here nor there. I can’t draw magic for the life of me. Have happy holidays and happy Friday :3

hey friends can we all collectively agree to start reblogging fan fiction like we do art? even if fanfics aren’t your thing they still require an incredible amount of talent and confidence to write and post and i feel like this community doesn’t give those fanfic posts and fanfic writers enough love for that. your reblog might push it to someone who does enjoy fan fiction which helps promote that writer! idk justice for fanfics on this site!!

OKAY OKAY, hear me out. I already mentioned in this reblog that it would be really cool if each of the Aerois characters became some sort of ultimate version of themselves. (Sentry for example is already Sentinel Prime, the leader of her people. Nova is friends with one of the three leaders of the Eterna, Tiangong. It has been hinted at that Quill could become as powerful as H'esper, especially when H'esper isn't around anymore. Aila has also been hinted at becoming very powerful; that one vision where all the other remaining First Elves were standing behind her, and also she's talked to most gods out of everyone in the group.)

But I wasn't able to come up with anything for Lucius. BUT THEN! Today I was listening to the podcast episode where they were escaping from Azzagrat, when Lucius cast that really powerful acid spell. And Mark said something really interesting:

"You see the blue and orange energy swirl around Lucius, and his eyes, which are normally blue and orange, for just a brief second, they fracture into prisms of every spectrum of colour. Just for a second."

Now. We've seen this happen once before! When Lucius tried to connect to the Prime Matrix in Root Prime, and he saw Root's past.

So. Lucius is an Arcane Chromat, which allows him to draw magic from the colours around him, and right now, his main focus is on ice and acid magic because of his blue and orange eyes. BUT if he reaches this ultimate version of himself, and his eyes become permanent prisms of colour, will he be able to use any colour, any damage type for his magic? Will the Prismatic Alternator Gauntlet help him with this? How will he unlock these powers? What even are Arcane Chromats? We know they're not just native to Aerois because Root Prime knew other Arcane Chromats.

I really want this theory to be true now, even if it's just for the aesthetic of pretty new eyecolours for Lucius.

Rose Venandi, Shadow Beyond the Veil and Xiiki Mystan from the amazing Curse of Strahd campaign played by the High Rollers!❤️

I originally planned to just draw Rose and Shadow, because I love them - and, I admit it, I shipped them and would have loved to see more of their relationship - but I love Xiiki/Rhiannon too much so I had to include her as well :D

Which led to all three of them having a laugh around the campfire because dammit my girls deserve some peace and happiness and a girls night! Don’t worry, in my headcanon Dogsbody is having a great time chilling in the woods and Yesper and Xiros are probably off somewhere fighting or making out. Possibly both. Don’t blame me, blame Chris Trott.

SPOILERS EP 91

HOLY FUCK

First half left me lying on the table dying from softness, my face literally hurts from smiling.

Also Quill is slowly becoming a messiah/God (?) himself? I love that like evil mages are looking for ways to become gods, ready to do anything, fight other gods, twist the reality and there's our soft feathery boy, who isn't noticing himself or brushing it off (like when Pelor told Quill that he can become more of a god than H'esper is/could ever be) but like everyone noticed already, especially after this episode with wings. Also "winds of ascension" is an INTERESTING NAME FOR A THING RIGHT?

Nova Big Brain, but they really need Lucius down there. Not only because of the Arcanist (but of course this too), but because I think he's the best with talking, and Quill is too busy thinking, and the young elf needs help probably outside of like technical things. Quill and Nova are locked on that shield, but there's definitely something personal there.

EXACTLY! There was already that H'esper statue outside of the temple that had one eye and one wing missing, and now the six wings on Quill? Our birdie is going to become a god! :D

How interesting would it be if each member of the group developed some god-like abilities? We already have Sentinel Prime, Aila has talked to the most gods out of everyone in the group, Nova is best friends with one of the leaders of the Eterna, and...uh...Lucius... Lucius ist very kind.

Now they just need to go get Siaska and Valla and defeating Hadar will be easy!...ha..ha.. :c

I guess with all the stuff that's going to happen next session (hopefully) with Arcanist Elenasto, we are going to have some interesting Lucius lore 👀

Because yes, Sentry is the guardian of the race, she's almost a demigod or a titan herself now (and maybe even more if we'll get the stuff from Pelor that everyone forgot about), Quill is moving towards getting the powers of the titan, that is ALSO somewhat a guardian and the creator of the whole race, Tian'Gong was one of the tree rules AND GUARDIANS of the whole planet that was populated mostly by Eterna? So Nova is not that powerful HERSELF, but full Tian'Gong should be close to titans or very powerful celestials.

So I guess that's not just "Quill get superpowers" quest, it will also set off Lucius' arc maybe?

Btw, Johan is totally dead. I'm so afraid that he's held here by the storm powers, and when they finish the trial and stop the storms, Johan will disappear like the sphinx 😭 because I remember he's asked her about losing memory and sense of time and reality, and also during combat Mark has asked him specifically about hit points and said something like "tell me if you hit 0 hp".

I wonder if it's the storm goddess/titan keeps him more alive, and not a ghost? Because he was worshipping both her and H'esper but mostly her and his powers are from the storm.

Ooh, another Lucius arc would be interesting!

Yeah, I really want to know what's going on with Johan!! I think they said at some point that Zephyr has nothing to do with the storms in the Valley, but maybe the Tempest dragon is actually the one who has something to do with this. We know that Zarkira did something to him (put him in a deep sleep and made him have nightmares that cause the storms I think?), but maybe he's somehow still kind of aware of some things and either keeps Johan alive or did something else. Or maybe Johan is something bad and evil, that could also be a possibility.

I think that Johan is not connected to the dragon, but he's totally connected to Zephyr, so it may be her holding him here to help H'esper. I fell like even though they fight a lot, they are still brother and sister and they care about each other. Stormchasers met Johan near the temple of both H'esper and Zephyr. So I think it's a part of titan family drama where we have smart magic kid with wings and horned orcish barbarian girl that will whoop your ass with the lighting even if it is not a smart idea.

So it may be magic of the valley, that's holding Johan, or Zephyr going "I don't agree with you and think we totally can fight Starbane without calling mom, but I'm going to help your champion because you like him and those storms are bad so here my storm sorcerer, he wanted to help anyway"

Actually, yeah, that does make sense! It would also make a lot of sense that Zephyr would want to get rid of the storms in the Valley because they're kind of ruining her reputation because she can't do anything against them.

And the family drama stuff is perfect, of course she would want to help her smart idiot brother who can't properly take care of his birb champion because the bird keeps dying or getting hurt. Sure, her own little storm sorcerer also almost died from the storms, but he's still good and still wants to help, even though the bird keeps "forgetting" about the Valley.

Thinking about Sentry and Petal... Petal was three when Sentry was assigned as her caretaker and she was 15 when Sentry last saw her

I wish we knew what the princess looked like, I just really want to draw Sentry and Petal :c

I still have some hope that we can meet the princess someday. Or maybe a descendant! A descendant who looks a little bit too much like Petal and 8 intelligence Sentry can't quite tell the difference. Yes. Very good.
