Hey, so, i’m all for this sudden trend of neurotypicals using fidgets and stim toys (mainly fidget cubes and spinners bit still), like its helping normalise them, thats great, but PLEASE be respectful with how you use them.
What i mean is, like, dont treat them like “toys” or fun little novelties. For example, at my school those little hand spinners blew up, and id bought one too. It was really helping me focus in class and relax, but all of the nts who had them were, like, playing with them in class. and by playing, i dont mean fidgeting, i mean “lets pass this around all my friends and mess about with it instead of working” which lead to them being banned.
Now they’re confiscated on sight at school, and teachers are beginning to do similar things to other stim and fidget toys (ive seen two stress balls and a fidget cube be confiscated just bc their nt owners were showing them off to all their friends and disrupting the class by messing about with them)
If nts keep this up, then nds will have an even harder time stimming in academic spaces, due to stim toys largely being banned
So please, if you’re a neurotypical, or even if you’re not tbh, dont treat stims like toys and end up getting them banned.
You’ve heard about it before but… here it is. In your face. It was REAL. Black people don’t make this stuff up.
white ppl are the devil
Never forget this fuckery.
If you don’t know what this is, its The Tuskegee Experiment.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_syphilis_experiment
“An infamous clinical study conducted between 1932 and 1972 by the U.S. Public Health Service. The purpose of this study was to observe the natural progression of untreated syphilis in rural African-American men in Alabama under the guise of receiving free health care from the United States government.”
“ The study was continued without informing the men they would never be treated. None of the men infected were ever told they had the disease, and none were treated with penicillin even after the antibiotic became proven for the treatment of syphilis.”
The Tuskegee Syphilis Study, cited as “arguably the most infamous biomedical research study in U.S. history"led to the 1979 Belmont Report and the establishment of the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP). It also led to federal laws and regulations requiring Institutional Review Boards for the protection of human subjects in studies involving them.
honestly every time I see this I get so depressed.. those poor people

We need to raise money for Mary to meet bail by Monday and ensure that she doesn’t get transferred. Please consider donating to her youcaring page
Oh this, thank goodness it got put into words.
White boys are the most angry, tightly wound, red in the face, ready to have a heart attack, truck driving almost kill you with road rage and entitlement motherfuckers on earth. Literally they whine and cry all day long and thing they’re unemotional bc they’re so used to that being considered ok and not “emotions”. Lol.
^ this.
From the 17th to 19th centuries, gender could be neither binary nor biological.

This is important.
It’s not a “loophole” it’s explicit within the text of the amendment
“Loophole” lmfao like it’s a fucking accident, like it wasn’t purposefully structured to reclaim and expand a source of free labor
We never outlawed slavery in America. We simply transferred ownership of slaves from individual landowners to the government and large corporations.
Other fun facts about prison labor corporations:
-Federal and state-run prisons usually pay their slaves minimum wage; some states, however, like Colorado, pay $2/hour.
-Private prisons pay $.17-.50/hour. The highest paying private prison is in Tennessee, which pays $.50/hour for “highly-skilled labor.”
-You think that hasn’t affected wages in the US? You think that hasn’t removed manufacturing jobs from the economy?
-Companies that contract with private prisons for their slave labor include: IBM, Boeing, Motorola, Microsoft, AT&T, Wireless, Texas Instrument, Dell, Compaq, Honeywell, Hewlett-Packard, Nortel, Lucent Technologies, 3Com, Intel, Northern Telecom, TWA, Nordstrom’s, Revlon, Macy’s, Pierre Cardin, Target Stores. Many, many products that say “Made in USA” were made in prison.
-Private prisons often have quotas with the states, wherein the states contractually guarantee that they will provide a certain number of prisoners to fill the beds of a private prison, and if they don’t then they owe the private prison millions of dollars. I’m not making this up. It happened in Colorado after they legalized weed.
-States have a financial incentive to lock up their citizens.
-All of the above corporations have a financial incentive to see citizens get locked up.
-This is why Jeff Sessions is going after weed. The prison industrial complex needs slaves.
-To the shock of absolutely no one, private prisons have even more disparate racial demographics than federal/state prisons.
-Where do you think they send undocumented immigrants who have been rounded up? That’s right, private prisons. That’s why so many of them are in the South. So they take immigrants who are earning some kind of comparable wage and paying income tax to the government, and put them in prison where the wages are absurdly depressed and the prison pays virtually nothing in taxes.
-Oh yeah: private prisons pay virtually nothing in taxes. Because they technically manage real estate (prison as housing), they get all sorts of tax breaks and subsidies.
Tl;dr the prison industrial complex removes jobs from the economy, depresses wages, cheats the tax system, and ENSLAVES PEOPLE, usually people of color.

What the term POC is supposed to do: Replace the word minority, which can have negative connotations, and vaguely describe any group of people who aren’t white
What the term POC is NOT supposed to do:
Replace the word black when you’re talking SPECIFICALLY about black people
Allow non black POC to make their struggles and black struggles interchangeable
Allow non black POC to be anti black under the guise of “solidarity”
This has been a public service announcement.

Please reblog, and donate if you can. I co-coordinate Detroit REPRESENT!, a QTPOC youth organizer collective sponsored by AMP, and I’m asking for your help for one of our members. K is a young, black lesbian who worked through a lot of very hard things as a teenager, including abuse and long periods of homelessness. Since joining us in 2015, K has been flourishing as a young activist: she has served in our fellowship program, given workshops as a peer educator, conducted outreach to homeless youth, and led a campaign for QTPOC youth against intimate partner violence.
Now, after working so hard to build a stable life for herself, K is facing homelessness due to a crooked landlord. Despite always paying rent early, she was served with an eviction notice when building management changed hands. With no explanation or warning, the new landlord was adding fees not mentioned in her lease, and late fees on those, going back months. Agencies we’ve spoken with have confirmed the landlord is in the wrong, but that there is little recourse in Detroit because the system is so overloaded.
Knowing an eviction ruling would disqualify her from her state rent assistance, K has paid hundreds of dollars from her fixed SSI income towards settling the ever-growing fees, leaving her struggling to buy food. The landlord is well aware that her rent assistance could be revoked, and using this threat to extort her and/or pressure her to move so they can raise rent.
On top of this, the new landlord has:
Refused to provide receipts for her payments
Refused to make repairs to her broken toilet
Refused to deal with a cockroach infestation in the building
Refused to repaint her apartment door when it was vandalized with threatening messages
Called the police when she asked for an explanation of the fees
They have now taken K to court twice, both times over less than $50, both times dismissed because she had already paid. In a better world, we would be able hire a lawyer to fight this and win, but at this point her lease is up and she needs to get out.
My family is doing what we can to provide her with temporary housing on our couch, and help her find a new place to live. But she needs help with the costs of getting moved and settled. I’m estimating the following expenses:
$800 for security and damage deposits
$300 for moving, van rentals & storing her things while she looks for a place
$227.50 to cover legal fees from the last court date
$100 for laundry and furniture steam cleaning so she doesn’t take the roaches with her
$150 to replace any furniture that can’t be saved
$250 to stock the kitchen of her new place with nourishing food
$90 or so for payment processing fees on donations raised
K is a person who, despite everything she’s been through, spends much of her energy trying to make the world better for others—we can’t let her fall through the cracks. If you can give even a small amount, it would make a world of difference in K’s life.
she definitely spills the tea
But a giraffe though? Is nothing sacred?!
Giraffes do nothing to anyone. What is the deal with whites insisting on killing all things African? Why don’t you hear about them going hunting for any other continent’s wildlife and murdering docile creatures for fun?
And to make matters worse…
