We have a very important question...are you supposed to do recaps before the start of the new year?! Is it in poor taste to do it a few days late, like 7 days late to be exact? Oh well! For so many of us December is such a crazy time of year, in fact it’s our busiest month of the year, so reflecting on 2015 is happening now. It’s so much fun going through pics from the past year and seeing how much has happened. It sure was a packed one. Above are just some of the happy times we had. Most importantly, we wish you all a wonderful 2016 and thank you for your continued support & love.
1. January kicked off with making lots of new products and fulfilling custom orders. We always love a good close up of our hang tags
2. February was a gem of a month bringing the celebration of love and two of our favorite people who were kind enough to come to Hiho Batik and do a reading from their book, The Case for Loving
3. In the spring, we did a super fun workshop and collaboration with the wonderful The Dogwood Dyer using natural dyes and having an all around good time.
4. The Park Slope Fifth Avenue Bid always puts on a great street fair and this one was no different. Always a fun filled day for us.
5. We kicked off our summer with our Summer Dreaming event hosted by the amazing Rebecca Minkoff at her lovely store in Soho. We spent the morning making dream catchers with such a great group of folks.
6. The summer continued and we were so lucky to host workshops with such creative groups via Brooklyn Brainery. Our workshops continue throughout this winter so be sure to sign up for one asap!
7. Custom Bedding woot woot! In the fall, we introduced our custom bedding and got such positive responses including these two amazing write ups by Lonny and New York Family. Big thanks to you both and to all who ordered and continue to order!
8. The last few months of the year are always a whirlwind getting ready for the big holiday shopping and making spree that we are so lucky to get to witness. This year we switched our DIY Recycled Newspaper Tree for a DIY Recycled Newspaper Peace Sign because we were sort of feeling the need for some well, peace.
