Monday, December 5, 2016 8 months 3 weeks She helpfully sorted the recycling while I finished getting ready. Picture of her in the bin is one of the few times I had to help her get unstuck. The more she struggled to get out, the further she sank into the toys. Bath pic is after her favorite bath time ever (not so much mine). I realized she had pooped in her tub and scooped her up to put her in the main part of the big tub...where she beamed at me as she finished pooping. So I had to stand her by the faucet while I hosed her down. She thought that was AMAZING. I never let her stand in the tub! She chortled the whole time and looked beside herself with her good luck. As seen on Fubbie's Photos, mom took her to get her passport photo taken today. Adventure awaits!

Sunday, December 4, 2016 8 months 20 days Slept over in Centreville so we could hang out with Ned. She enjoyed face timing with her aunts, helping Ned with work, and investigating the Christmas tree. Took a quick trip to Target in her bear hat, then came home, where she rage-ate her dinner.

Saturday, December 3, 2016 8 months 19 days That post-dinner belly. My goodness.

Friday, December 2, 2016 8 months 18 days Shopping with Fubbie - first time in a cart! She worked hard to pull down the charger cord then intensely investigated the cord. Checking out her bib for food she's dropped.

Thursday, December 1, 2016 8 months 17 days Fubbie had Kettlebell so Grandpa picked L up and brought her to me at work. She liked my office! Multitasking in the bathtub.

Wednesday, November 30, 2016 8 months 16 days Morning breakfast companion in the jumper, lunchtime quiche with Fubbie. Looking for her toy under the ottoman (already posted by Fubbie). Post-work selfies, more playing with the fastener toy, cuddling with Fubbie. Those feet in her high chair!

Tuesday, November 29, 2016 8 months 15 days First of decades of lunches I'll pack for her! Fubbie finally agreed to feed her lunch, which made Lydia very happy.

Monday, November 28, 2016 8 months 2 weeks She woke up in a great mood, only made happier by nursing right away. We spent most of my drive home to Centreville saying "a ba ba ba," and "a ma, a ma." She loved it. Mom said it was the quietest she was all day. Final pics are from her exploring her new fastener puzzle. She's in love.

Sunday, November 27, 2016 8 months 13 days Spent some sunny morning time looking adorable in her early Christmas present clothes from Fubbie. Love the shadow of her hair. Baby and Fubbie are locked in a battle of wits and will over access to Nana's cabinet. Fubbie has adult smarts of her side, but Lydia has persistence. She pulled the diaper pack to the floor then used her two bottom teeth to try to rip into it. It is very hard to keep two socks on, as most of the rest of the pictures show. The diaper with one sock look is classic dinner attire.

Saturday, November 26, 2016 8 months 12 days Early morning snuggles in bed, then playing on her homemade drum in the corner. After A quick but lovely visit with Stacey (not pictured) we bundled up in the k'tan to run to the store for pie crusts. I baked two quiches, a batch of sweet potatoes, and a batch of apples while she slept. After her nap she had lots of exploring to do, especially in the corner behind the chair. We finished the day with an impromptu visit to Nina's house. Sam was incredibly sweet to L, and they fed her a full dinner of pasta, peas, apple, and mango. She was exhausted and clearly glassy eyed by the time we left!

Friday, November 25, 2016 8 months 11 days

Another busy day around the house. She’s intent on pulling down the cloths bin and touching every surface of the diaper pail. Bought a toy truck at Toys ‘R Us this morning, then went to the park again after her midday nap. She ate her chili in a machine-like fashion, and DID NOT poop in the bath (first time in three nights). Fell asleep instantly at 7 - it’s exhausting to explore so much of the apartment all day.

Favorite parts of the day: L rearranging the corner by the patio so she could drum on the diaper box and babble for 5+ minutes. Putting her down in the living room after dinner and having her instantly race towards the iPad I'd left on the lower end table - even though it had been behind her.

Thursday, November 24, 2016 8 months 10 days Quiet Thanksgiving day at home alone. Baby was busy, busy, busy all day long.

Catch up post #3 Through Wednesday, November 23, 2016 8 months 9 days Software went live company-wide this week, which meant some crazy hours. Baby and I stayed in Centreville for three days straight; she wore variations on a very limited theme throughout the visit. Worked from home Wednesday so we could go to the audiologist for new ear molds. Made chili for her in the late afternoon but she was such a cranky pants I had to walk the halls with her in the k'tan while it cooked. She loved eating it though!

Catch up post #2! Through November 19, 2016 8 months 5 days Raspberry filled belly (ate an entire container at frantic speed, then refused all other food). Shots from her days with Fubbie, including baby's first selfie. Day to day photos, including our first visit to renovated Quincy Park.

November 14, 2016 8 months! Kitty helped us out with the eight month photo shoot. It's not easy keeping her laying down anymore!
