Bojack + satosugu = maximum angst
the thing about bojack horseman that still gets me to this day is how it manages to give weight to all horrible things that have been done to bojack AND the horrible things he does to others AND how the entertainment industry runs on various cultures of exploitation and abuse that makes addressing these issues impossible AND the show did all of that simultaneously while ALSO being one of the funniest show's ever made. it's just so superb, a true artistic vision at every level from its writing to its animation style. Despite starting a decade ago and finishing 4 years ago, there's hardly any commentary, political or otherwise, in it that isn't still either intelligently relevant or cleverly prescient. you might think I'm exaggerating when I say this show has never been out of my watch rotation since I started watching it, but I'm not! I love bojack horseman so much and I love that everytime I watch it I find something that moves me. I'll watch it forever. watching it is like therapy, like a friend, like a reminder. Truly the last great streaming show, when I think about it <3
Bojack + satosugu = maximum angst
When BoJack Horseman (2014-2020) said "you can't keep doing shitty things and then feel bad about yourself like that makes it ok. you need to be better" and "all we have are the connections we make" and "I really should've thought about the view from halfway down" and "sometimes you have to take responsibility for your own happiness" and "you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, you turn yourself around, THAT'S what it's all about" and "things have to get worse before they can get better" and "in real life, the big gesture isn't enough, you need to be consistent" and "if we hadn't met each other until now, we wouldn't be the people we are now" and, my personal favourite, "every day it gets a little easier, but you gotta do it every day, that's the hard part, but it does get easier".
in term of characters in MHA, i relate a lot to Izuku in general (alongside Tenya)
although, I can’t help myself but feel so much empathy for Bakugo… like… i’ve never been in his position, i myself got bullied by a guy with a temper similar to young Bakugo (who also was my neighbor and a guy i knew since we were little) but his character development is everything
i feel SO bad for him, wtf is wrong with me
AND WHY DO I RELATE TO HIM NOW
due to the fandom, i thought MHA was kinda mid but wtf it’s so good??? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IM SO INVOLVED?????? and it’s the perfect verse to create OCs too???
oh Midoriya, Bakugo Kirishima and Iida… yall mean so much to me😔 (dare I say Endeavor too..?)
(im at season 7 guys, pls don’t spoil me i already got spoiled SO MUCH)
do y’all think when Sanemi visited genya at the butterfly mansion post-swordsmith village that he decided to double down on his plan to alienate him, because his little brother had just come so close to meeting the very fate sanemi feared?
please… tell me there’s a timeskip Tetsutetsu official art somewhere….
don’t mind me, i didn’t finish MHA yet
so far, i’m asking myself if AFO and his little brother, the first one to possess OFA are not some kind of reference to Abel and Caïn (idk why but the dynamic itself seems a little similar to me?)
France is such a beautiful country, it has to be nerfed by french people themselves.
living in france as a muslim is NOT for the weak, i just remember some crazy things that happened to me for the past 3 years
wym i got yelled at by a catholic guy who was reciting bible verses when i was WALKING? (he saw me, then started to recite bible verses like i was a threat or something and then shouted at me for no reason? gang i’m just going to take the escalator, leave me alone)
wym i got denied the access to take the bus and the lady who was driving said : « no, i’m not taking her » and she closed the bus doors right on my face?? (it was on purpose btw)
wym i got threatened so many times in public to the point i feared for my life? (i have so many stories it’s not a joke)
WYM SOMEONE TRIED TO RIP OFF MY HIJAB IN PUBLIC AFTER TRYING TO « GET CLOSER » TO ME BY SAYING SHE WAS AN IMMIGRANT (ukrainian, so white) AND TALKED TO ME ABOUT ALGERIA (because i’m half algerian and was talking about it with my bsf)???
I HAVE SOOO MANY CRAZY STORIES WTF IS WRONG WITH FRANCE✌🏻
They deserved better
Yes I draw traditionally. Yes I neglect that
sometimes i wish my OCs had a fandom but i already know they would be totally mischaracterized.
i genuinely can SMELL the « doomed Yuri » comments for at least two of them.
Im tired of people thrusting over Gojo without understanding his character.
Call me a puritain, idc at this point.
Of course, he’s the greatest. The most powerful in his verse. He’s an amazing character but not only for his looks, please.
He’s the most cursed one.
Born as a tool, died as a weapon.
Never Satoru, forever Gojo.
He will always be dear to me.
Shinazugawa brothers (sketches)
Yeah Sanemi, no wonder your brother eats demons, your first reaction to prove the loyalty of a 14 yo (?) boy was stab his sister and then cut yourself. If the crazy eyes don't prove the blood relation, the bad ideas definitively do.
men will transform themselves physically, become the stone hashira in six months, live an isolated life riddled with mistrust, lose their master, fight upper moon one, manifest the mark on command, lose their student, go up against the king of demons, lose a leg, refuse the relief provided by medicine as life slips away from them, then die and go to heaven with the same kids that betrayed them instead of going to therapy
Underrated Hashira
I hate it when people give Shinobu long hair or put her in a skirt/dress because it feels like they want her to conform to this femininity that she really is shown to not have, despite her small and weak figure. She prefers wearing pants, she keeps her hair up and likely short given we don't see the slightest bit of hair coming out of the clip, and she often wishes for a bigger and more muscular figure (Which while because she dislikes being weak, also shows how she continues to defy the stereotypical femininity). When somebody dresses her up like Mitsuri would dress or gives her long hair it kind of feels like they are just... ignoring her character? Like, who cares if she is a character shown not to conform to the type of femininity expected of her in society, let's dress her up in skirts and give her a long ponytail !!!
And no I don't find this controversial, no I don't think I'm "tomboy stereotypeing" her. This just genuinely feel incorrect to her character.
