Part 3.
Quotes about Love.
“One day, he’s going to know. He’ll know your birthday, your middle name, where you were born, your star sign, and your parent’s names. He’ll know how old you were when you learned to play violin, how your grandparents passed away, how many pets you had, and how much you hated going to school. He’ll know your eye colour, your scars, your laugh lines, and your birthmarks. He’ll know your favourite book, movie, candy, food, pair of shoes, colour, and song. He’s going to know why you wake up in the middle of the night most nights, where you were when you realised you had lost yourself, why you picked up the razor, and how you managed to put it down before things went too far. He’s going to know your phobias, your dreams, your fears, your wishes, and your worries. He’s going to know about your first heartbreak, your dream wedding, and your problems with your mother. He’ll know your strengths, weaknesses, laziness, energy, and your mixed emotions. He’s going to know about your love for all things salted caramel, your dream of being a vet when you were five, your need to sing along to every song you know, and your fears of growing older. He’ll know your bad habits, your mannerisms, your stroppy pout, your facial expressions, and your laugh like it’s his favourite song. The way you chew, drink, walk, sleep, fidget, and kiss. He’s going to know that you’ve already picked out wedding flowers, baby names, tiles for the bathroom, bridesmaid dresses, and the colour of your bedroom walls. He’s going to know, get annoyed at and then accept that you leave clean clothes out for days, get scared ordering at a store, have to organise your DVD’s by genre, and check your horoscope… just in case. He’ll know your McDonald’s order, how you don’t like sugar in your coffee, how many scoops of ice cream you want, and that you don’t like sandwiches unless they’re toasted. He’s going to know how you feel without telling him, when you’re holding in a laugh, and that you’re crying without shedding tears. He’s going to know all of it. Everything. You, from top to bottom and inside out. From learning, from sharing, from listening, from watching. He’s going to know every single thing there is to know, and you know what else? He is still going to love you.”

"I think one of my favourite feeling is laughing with someone and realizing half way through how much you enjoy their existence."

A decade
It's been ten years since I graudated from College. I never even knew time went by that fast. A college batch mate started posting pictures from ten years ago on facebook and started tagging people. Everyone enjoyed watching old videos and pictures from when we were young, juggling both party and school life. Then, I laughed at myself realizing I am not there in most of the pictures. I may have appeared in one or two but that's it.
All my life, I've always been an introvert and very passive but I survived, Thank God! LOL. It's funny how I always get this social anxiety but I always manage to find friends to make me feel comfortable in social situations.
Looking back, it sure has come a long way. I never thought I would reach this far. God has definitely given me things far more than I can imagine.
Since I graduated as a Nurse, most of my batch mates including me are living in another country. I now reside in Montreal and I only know 3 people from my batch who lives here. Plus, we're not even that close to see each other. That's a bit awkward.
Anyway, If there is one advice I can give to my college self, it would be to "hang in there". Everything will be fine and you will survive. Don't lose hope because God will give you far more than what you even dreamed of. I may not have everything but I have all that I need. Thank you Lord for all the opportunities!
"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." [Proverbs 3:6]
There are so many things on your plate right now, and a whole lot of things to figure out, but if ever for a moment you start to feel like you cannot continue, take a deep breath, reflect, and remember how far you’ve come. Think about where you were last year. Think about the things that used to worry you so much that no longer consume your mind and time: the relationship that wasn’t healthy, the stress of what this year would be like, the things you never thought you would accomplish but did…all of those things are worthy being grateful for, and are beautiful reminders that you are going to be okay. ⠀ Because even though tomorrow is uncertain, you know The One who brought you through yesterday, and you know that He isn’t going anywhere today or tomorrow. You now know that He is with you, until the end of time. ⠀ …And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. - Matthew 28:20 ⠀ If anxiety has consumed your mind lately, take heart, knowing there will be a day when you look back on this time of your life, realizing that all along, you were guided. All along, God was leading your heart through the valley and into the safety of His loving arms, and through every year and every season, He will do that again and again. ⠀ Hold onto this when the weight of it all is just too much. He is still leading the way, just like He did yesterday, and you will wake up from this season, so thankful for all He was doing on this day, even though things are far from perfect, He was still leading the way. ⠀ Written by @morganharpernichols for the girl who just ended things with her boyfriend and is uncertain about next semester.
