Do you have a plan for how Purple gets of the time loop, or are you still deciding on that?

I do! I actually built the tome loop au like around the solution if that makes sense? I’m still like figuring out how many loops I think it’ll take them and how they figure it out but i got this trust

It just occurred to me that Red is actually better at thinking in the long-term than Purple is tbh... Purple's strong sense of justice makes them a bit rash at times. They're quick to take action, do the right thing, but often fail to consider what might happen afterwards. I think the best showcase of this is how Red dealt with Orange after Lime's murder. Purple immediately wants to confront them, but Red figured that hey... maybe going head-to-head with a giant murderous blob monster is a bad idea.

IDK I just think it's neat that Purple's isn't just the "smart one" of the two, they're a bit of a hothead, and Red has more consideration of the consequences despite seeming like an idiot. Red needs Purple to get them proactive, and Purple needs Red to reign them in sometimes.

That's such a smart observation, Anon, omg. Yes. Purple is impulsive! They want to ACT, right now, right away! They do better when there's something to DO.

I really loved that moment, you just get a glimpse of how competent Red COULD be if they didn't rely so much on the handbook or prioritize what MIRA wants.

Purple is very justice-oriented, so they want to DO something when they know something is wrong, but you're so right, Red might be a bit of an insecure coward but that fear and pause actually makes them better suited for making more measured, deliberate plans when needed. Esp when you see how Purple catches on and helps Red with Orange, they do work well as a team together when the occasion calls for it.

Red may be incompetent in time. They may let their need for being seen as a good captain overshadow their judgement. They are silly and may sometimes seem outright stupid. At the end of the day, however, Red is one of the smartest members of the crew, when they actually put their brains to use.

The differences between Red and Purple are observable even in how they handles the situation with MIRA in the past. Objectively, there was nothing two crewmates could do against a corporation as massive as MIRA. Red took the sensible, albeit somewhat immoral, path, and signed an NDA. Purple didn't, due to their strong sense of justice, and ended up losing everything.
