This weekend your sister was having her engagement party, and you couldn’t be happier for her. There was no one you were happier for. Really. She found love and all that great, beautiful, wonderful, stupid bullshit. Great. Good for her. Deep down, you were actually very happy for her, but attending her wedding meant you had to sit through an entire weekend of your family, asking why you were still single and if you thought you would ever find someone who would want to marry you.
The moment she told you she was engaged, you decided there was no way in hell you were going alone. Even if you had to beg and plead. At this point, you weren’t above paying a stranger to pretend to be your boyfriend. But first, you were going to beg your best friend until he felt so guilty he had to take you.
