Creature/Adam x Creature reader
adam finally reunited himself to Victor, with one demand. To either be able to succumb to death, or Victor must provide him with a companion just like him. So he would never have to wonder alone again. After a long time of demanding, and trying to tell Victor it is not for intimacy, or to procreate just to have someone by his side, Victor caved.
It took a while, of course it did. Creating life from the dead is no easy task. Though it was slightly different this time. She was closer to the average scale of a woman, not giant or monstrous, the stitches, and lines were neater this time since Victor was experienced with this part now. Adam insisted on being there, to ensure that Victor wasn’t lying, or that he was doing anything purposely wrong.
Finally the day came. You were ready, the storm was strong. Then lighting hit, and it truly worked. You were living. Not just a blueprint, or thought. But alive. Adam’s wish finally came true, he’d never be alone again.
You were obviously confused when you were first “born” just as Adam was. The men, specifically Victor (which you would come to learn later) started trying to ask you questions. As much as he didn’t even want you to exist, he at least wanted to see if you were an improvement from Adam. Though it did not work, only led to a confused look from you. Adam shut it down with one word. “Enough” He didn’t want what happened to him to happen to you. He decided that he would be the one to guide you. It stayed silent before Adam spoke again.
“I will guide her, not you, Victor. Your teachings turned cruel the moment I did understand at the pace you wished”
So he did, Adam guided you off the table. He guided you down the hall, keeping hold of you as you grew used to walking. The two of you ended up in a room where he sat you down on the edge of the bed. It was grand, he had gotten used to it after living here while your creation was happening. Though he still felt out of place considering he spent years roaming the earth in harsh conditions. He glanced around to see if Victor was there, he was not. Though it did not matter much to Adam. He shifted all focus onto you. He was unsure the best way to teach you, but he remembered how the old man taught and wanted to try and copy it. To teach with kindness, not cruelty.
He wants to start simply so he tries to tell you the name of things, he points to himself, and says “Adam.” He once again helps you up to show you around the room, pointing out and naming each item to you. The two of you end up at the window which overlooks the snowy acres of land, which he realizes you find intriguing.
“If you’d like… I could bring you outside tomorrow, to show you the outdoors. If I can find you clothes that keep you warm” He glances at you, points outside, then nods. “Or we can stay inside” He watches as you point outside and say “Go?” So he nods, trying to hide his excitement that you were starting to understand him. “Good, I will take you tomorrow during sunrise.” He looks back out the window with you and sees a lightning strike, followed by a loud crack of thunder. You flinch at the sound and quickly make your way back to the bed.
Adam watches you hide into the bed, he follows you over, and sits next to you. “It’s only the sky, it won’t harm you. Just noise” he pauses “It’s a storm… the strikes you see happening in the sky are called lightning, the noise is thunder.” He follows your still frightened gaze to the window “I experienced many storms all by myself, yet I remain safe. So will you” He removes his large frame from the bed to close the curtains. “You will still hear the sound, but will no longer see it. It will be gone soon” He nods, and watches as you copy in agreement.
He sits back down next to you, pulling the heaving blanket over your legs. “The sunrise will be beautiful in the morning.” He pauses realizing something. “You have no name yet… though maybe it is for the best. A name should match you. My name is Adam, because of how I was made. Your name will represent you. We can find that out together” He looks back to you, seeing you look up to him as he explains it. He realizes that your eyes are growing heavy. “I think it is best for us to sleep now. Lie back” He says as he guides you to lay flat. “Close your eyes, it’ll make sleep come faster” He watches as you close your eyes, and gradually fall asleep. He removes himself from the bed, and opens the curtain so when morning comes you can watch the sunset from the bed.
He finally climbs back into bed to lie down next to you. Realizing this is truly what he wanted, and that he’s no longer alone. Now he can sleep peacefully.
