In his curiosity, Terra had come to approach a red-haired woman, who seemed to be a local of the city. Or at least, at first glance. She seemed like a nice woman, moreso when she had turned to him to answer his little query about the festival. She radiated a sort of kindness that Terra was familiar with.
If he had to put it in words, he would say that the woman was warm and inviting, in a way.
The young man smiled as he received his answer, pleased. “Valentine’s Day…" he repeated, smile widening as he let the words sink in. "I don’t suppose it’s just for lovers now, is it? Because it seems like a day where anyone can join in." At that, Terra was correct. Of course, he had no way of finding out yet but he had a feeling that the nice woman could tell him in about a moment’s notice.
“To think that a sinister city would have a place like this…" The words left his lips in an almost whisper, his smile briefly disappearing into a frown. Terra wasn’t happy with being trapped here and ultimately wanted a way out. He had people to find… people he needed protecting. Still, he couldn’t deny finding the sight before him a great morale boost.
Turning to the woman, Terra regained his smile and introduced himself. “Oh, I’m Terra by the way," he says, outstretching one hand. "I’m new here, although… I never intended to come, so now I’m sort of stuck. Thanks for telling me about Valentine’s Day. I never actually sat down to learn about the things I come across in every world I’ve visited before.”
Kushina quickly nods her head. He was right, because Valentines Day could be for anyone and not just couples! Close friends were able to spoil each other, too, and parents or family would be able to tease their loved ones about it at the same time. It wasn't a real 'family' sort of holiday, but it was still fun for all.
"It is as long as they believe it and stay positive," because some people didn't always look at it in a positive light. She wasn't going to worry herself over them, though, because there was more to life and even more important things to worry about then people who were whiny.
Sinister city... unfortunately, Kushina had yet to experience anything bad so she wasn't able to look at it that way. "I think it's good for them to do something nice, a way for people to feel welcomed and at peace," she said and offer Terra a small smile.
She laughed quietly.
"I don't think anyone intended to come here. But for some people it's a good place, only because they could not live back home." Like her for example. "And you're welcome!" Kushina always enjoyed helping people when she was given the chance to do so.
Oh, right, her name. "I'm Kushina, and if you're curious about anything else then I might be able to help you." Depending on what it was, of course.
