Hi friends,

As many of you know, God gave me the opportunity to go on a mission trip this year to Haiti back in March with Adventures in Missions. The trip was a completely blessing, however, my heart had a heaviness for the orphaned children I was able to spend time with . The conditions of the orphanage were very severe. Naked children playing in their feces, hopelessness, neglect, physical abuse, lack of medical attention, lack of nourishment and lack of unconditional love. My heart shattered in pieces when it was time for me to depart back to Miami. However, those farewells weren't over in my heart!

A month later in April, the director of the orphanage was arrested for Child Trafficking. Soon the conditions of the orphanage got worse. Food being donated to the orphanage and clothing was being sold and children weren't being fed at all. They were only given leftovers or what "Staff Members" didn't sell. God continue to instill in my heart to pray for the orphanage and the kids yet I had no idea what would happen in the months to come. Nonetheless, I have since kept in touch with my trip leaders and a sister in Christ that lives in Haiti, Megan, whom I have been keeping updated with the condition of Haiti and that Orphanage.

God foreknew this, but even during all the suffering that is going on not only here, but in the rest of the world with orphaned children and the widows in distress, we find JOY through the Faith God has put in our hearts with the Holy Spirit. Any who, faithful brothers and sisters in Christ have decided to stand up for the least of these and a Petition has been presented. So the reason for this email is simply this: partner with me in signing this petition as we reach 10,000 signatures! This petition will Lord willing help end the Child Trafficking at the Son of God Orphanage. The orphanage will therefore close down and the 75+ orphaned children can be sent to a safer location and/or orphanage. The link below is Megan's blog, Founder of Respire Haiti and one of the voices for the Children for the Son of God Orphanage. In this blog post, she gives a brief update of the condition of the orphanage and the Petition link is found shortly after.

hey friends!

ive been a little out of the loop, but i am happy to tell you that God has me on a new journey this season. I am officially done with undergrad school so during the fall i will be taking a little breather and just focus more on God, work, my involvement at my home church, & publish my first book. <3 i am more than humbled and therefore, I have made the commitment in all that i will not waste time; to be busy yet not burn myself out either. I desire to seek more of Him and none of me (yes one of my favorite verses John 3:30). LORD, I ask in Your Precious Name to "use me" all for your glory and that in all it points only to You, my King, Jesus Christ.

shhhh be quiet . .

something that God has been teaching me lately is to just be quiet. When God answers a prayer or has confirmed something I tend to tell people of the work He is and has yet to do in my life. That's great, but what if it's not the same for others? What if God hasn't confirmed prayers for them just yet? How would others be feeling deep inside? In that, I by no means want to come off as bragging or being prideful. Therefore, God wants me become slow to speak and be quiet about certain things.

If this is something you are doing too and tend to not notice, I encourage you to continue doing all that God has called you out to do and to just keep it between you and Him. The whole world does not need to know. :)

Listening to my Father is very important and in that I will obey and humble myself in this area. This is cerntainly a form of wisdom [listen.speak.live it.]

one verse that spoke truth in my heart is found in Matthew 6:1-4

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

sorry. i have been out of the loop for a few days now, but God has been teaching me lately to make more of Him and that includes less time on facebook,twitter, and tumblr. He has demonstrated to me to use the time that we have here on earth wisely. to make more of Him in all that we do and make sure that people do not see us, but see Jesus shining through us. this means that if you are doing things that aren't pleasing to God, it means you need to run towards the path of righteousness rather than the path of destruction. one foot in hot water and one foot in cold is not going to work. trust me i did that when I first came to Christ in 2008. not a wise decision you are lying to yourself and are more so lying in God's face. by His grace we have been set FREE therefore, stop getting so caught up in the "computer" world. if you do not work or are free from school this summer, I challenge you to get out there and work for His kingdom. be uncomfortable. Have a heart to serve others. (:

i am going to keep this very short and brief, but man, I hope I do not come off as bragging, but more humble at how AMAZING our GOD is! He opens and closes doors for your good. I can not wait to see what He has in store for the months to come. everything i am not, He is. It all draws back to Him and to give Himself glory. Two doors have become opened: personal testimony tracts and If God allows within time, I may publish my first book! wait! what?! yeah, same thing I've asked myself. Through prayer and confirmation from serveral people I should have the devotional book for women out next year or so, Lord willing. Mind you, I absolutely dislike writing and reading, but I've come to actually appreciate it alot more only because I have enjoyed writing devotionals, prayers, and love letters to my One&Only. I have absolutely loved reading the Bible since I became born-again fall of 2008. When it comes to my studies in school, I love math and have a hard time studying, i think i may have ADD too lol. It's crazy because when I study GOD, I by no means get distracted. (: ah. i love it. Anywho, keep me in your prayers once again :)

So ladies, I encourage you in this, in Him all things are possible. Surrender and rejoice everyday. Give Him your undivided attention. Learn more of who His is and how He wants to be your EVERYTHING. Commit your ways to Him and He will certainly direct your path. Seek Him. Pray. Engage in Conversations. Be Patient and Wait. If you do not know Him yet, I challenge you to invite Him in your heart today.(Revelation 3:20) He is capable of changing you from the inside out! He has plans for you. Plans to prosper you and give you a new hope. Plans that will be all for His glory. He has made you unique and different and everything He allows you do to is for HIM alone and to expand His kingdom here on earth!
