Matt closes the book he was reading and leans on the couch “If it will take me away from class, I am all up for it.”

After a while, the two return to Tally, all prepared with their Fall wear, backpacks and Matt holding a small camcorder.

“Dad would like to know where this place is before he lets me go.” says Matt. “He trusts that Annette would be fine, but if I were to go, he needs to know the history of this place.”

“Right. Well it’s just outside of Mesa City. I guess you could say it used to be a place for criminals but it’s long since changed. Hopefully he won’t have any problem knowing that much.” Tally replied, not really wanting to mention the haunted part but for all she knew Matt might have already informed him of that much.

Annette runs upstairs to get prepared for the trip as Matt simply walks behind. “Forgive her Tally, she gets that excited for anything risky and supernatural. I…don’t know where she picked that up from but she likes it.”

Matt shrugs and goes to find Bentley to tell him about the trip.

Tally didn’t really mind that Annette got so excited about these types of things. They were pretty interesting places to investigate. She only hoped that Bentley wouldn’t mind her taking them on a little trip. Maybe it would give him time to work on things he needed to get done.

“I suppose I’ll let dad know that you are taking us to a place, a little road trip not too far.” Comments Matt “After all, you are a pretty cool girl and he likes you a lot. I’ll go.”

“Oh that reminds me.” Annette digs through her ipad and presses the notes app. “What condition is the castle in? Is it really dusty? Not too dirty? A lot of mold? Would we need gas masks? Just to be safe.”

“The place isn’t too moldy or anything. Sometimes people come through to spend the night or for ghostly tours so it’s picked up but also in rough condition on the outside since they don’t want to change any or the original structure. But yes telling him it’s a road trip should be fine that way he knows you both are with me. This is going to be awesome.” She replied, mentally making a list of what all they would need for this little trip.

Matt scratches his chin and arches an eyebrow “Well I don’t know, that seems fine but I am going to need a lot of sleep to concentrate in class.”

Annette runs to Tally and holds her hands in anticipation. “Let’s go then, i’ve been aching for some scary adventures since the big Clockwerk research last year. I promise that if anything happen, I’ll let dad know what happened and try to sugar coat it so he won’t faint in his chair.”

“Are you sure sis?” Matt asks “I don’t want you two to get hurt. What if something happens? I’d feel guilty if I don’t go, but if I do go, I will feel guilty for leaving the house so suddenly. However, it is the weekend and I don’t have a lot of homework.”

“Don’t feel guilty, Matt. Just follow your heart. It’s up to you and you alone if you want to go with us.” She said gently, not wanting him to stress or feel like he had to go. Her attention then turned to Annette, giving her hands an excited and gentle squeeze in return. “We better sugarcoat it so he doesn’t worry. We all know how worried he gets about these things.” She mused, still excited for this adventure.

Your dedication, the love you have for your friends, the way you always give it your all.” She mused, a fond smile forming on her face.“You’ve been through a lot and you still walk with your head held high. @alwaysdoeshismathright CONT. Tally smiled as he agreed, following him into the livingroom. She had been over in the chinatown area so she had picked up a few different dishes. Thankfully Murray seemed busy tonight so the two were left alone to eat. Day by day they seemed to be getting closer and Tally had to admit she was enjoying it. “How’s the work been going on figuring out where Sly is?” She asked as she set the table then got them drinks. Her mission had been successful though an enemy had gotten a good shot at her but she had wrapped up the small wound on the way home. The last thing she wanted was for Bentley or Murray to worry. The last time she came back banged up it seemed Murray was about to freak out. Now that was a pain to deal with.

“It’s this really old castle that I’ve heard a lot of people were killed in by means of torture for crimes. It’s so spooky that hardly anyone will step foot in it. But I know the three of us are brave enough to take it on.” Tally grinned, tail giving an eager swish.
