Dear god I'm so bad at introductions....but I decided to add this here as I've actually had a lot of people ask. You guys can call me Chloe! My pronouns are she // her and I am 21 !! Outside of Akudama Drive I like Diabolik Lovers, Alice in Wonderland, true crime, horror, vocaloid, and The Legend of Zelda. I also really love Melanie Martinez so you'll see her as inspiration a lot in my writing.

I'll mostly post writing, however I do reblog Akudama Drive related content and post about their characters quite often. Just observations usually, but I will ramble. Oh, I also post edits here and there...

Everything on my account is only my perception of these characters. I try my hardest to write for their personalities as best as I can!

My content is self indulgent most times, meaning there will be darker themes such as toxic relationship dynamics, gore, obsession, possessiveness, murder, cannibalism, self harm, underlying themes of incest, eating disorders, vomiting, and sometimes noncon. I am not trying to romanticize any sort of abuse or unhealthy habits with the things I write, they're meant purely as fiction for those who enjoy to read those sorts of things.

Minors are welcome, but I expect with you to bring a level of maturity. Do not interact with my NSFW content, I will label it. I also expect you to read warnings on anything I post. Reading is a healthy outlet, so my personal opinion is that it's silly to expect younger viewers not to read it. Especially because minors also go through a lot of darker things. (The most I can really do to prevent someone from reading anything anyways is through warnings....it's parents jobs to make sure from there that their kids are safe).

Do NOT take anything you read in my fictions and think it is okay to happen in everyday life. It is fiction for a reason.

okay so. here are some notes i made while trying to translate some parts of chapter 63. this is prone to edits btw, i‘m taking a break from translating for today.

-pupil is the new (temporary) boss of the execution divison?? both her and junior also believe that the siblings shouldn’t have been brought to kanto.

-the ark (the black box in the first page) apparently contains a lot of old things (and inhabitates a lot of animals that died during the war??)

-brother and sister (and everyone in the ark) end up flying to space and it might take 100 years to get there (specifically to a star called europa? damn akudrive going international <3 i hope they visit me in germany)

-swindlers senpai has a name (musician) and can attack police robots with her guitar by shocking them with electricity

-the courier fake (i‘m sorry) is called „hauler“ (運送屋) i think? … please correct me if i‘m wrong.

-the old woman is referred as „doctor“ and survived the kansai war. (WHO‘S ALSO 253 YEARS OLD?? the counter above her head is her age apparently)

-brawler‘s grandpa is also called brawler… i sense a pattern

Akudama Drive Chapter 63 (Shikoku)

hii here is the last chapter of shikoku edition… which kinda marks the end of akudamanga… my last manga related post will be the volume 9 contents, but that‘s it.

Here it is! As the Akudama Drive Wiki admin (aka Mrs. @jadyjads), who took on that role in order to protect Doctor's and Cutthroat's government assigned genders, when Volume 7 comes out with a page that states Cutthroat's gender outright, my arc will finally end. (2020-2022, R.I.P.)

As such, I thought it would be fun to finally do the classic fangirl thing and create my own self insert. Say hello (and goodbye /j) to... the Educator..?

W it was a 10 minute gameplay though so yeahh😭 also sorry for responding today and not yesterday I got busy HELPP, also about this post that you wanted to start writing akudrive again, im just gonna say that I think all that is up to you :) And you know….. the anime is a really good rewatch hehehe

I'm the last person that should be worried about when someone responds a little later so don't worry at all about it — AND YES akudama drive is a really good rewatch, I probably watched it 20-30 times when I learned of its existence 😍 I'LL DEFINITELY BE REWATCHING IT SOON

Okay but having been a defender of Akudama Drive's open ending in my time, and now seeing a teaser for an actual character in relation to Shikoku Arc in the manga (I guess I can always pray for them to be a flashback character,) I'm actually a little worried? A little scared? A little anxious? I wasn't expecting to ever see an actual reveal of what happens past the ending.

(And if it's a game changer... are they really going to bury it in the manga? I don't assume the manga ever reached anywhere near the popularity the anime had in the West - where it did the best - seeing how slow the translation is and the lack of investing in bundles in English. I can't assume any sort of OVA is coming up, when Kodaka is busy with RAIN CODE, and whatever content will be included in those two chapters will likely be very short.)

Like I just wrote in the tags of my last reblog, the one thing that's noteworthy is that this character's two-wheeler has nowhere near the same technological advancement as Courier's. Actually, let me pull up my ~high quality screenshots~...

Here's what I was thinking about, in the background. As much as Courier's bike is notably super special and super cool, it's implied there were many newer modes of transportation before the war. The new character's two-wheeler seems really old school.

That being said, there is a chance my assumption is wholly incorrect: the cars portrayed in the first episode don't all seem very modern. At the same time, it might be a matter of wealth inequality - again, Courier is stupid rich.

Even police cars don't seem all that special?

Clearly, cars in Kansai have particular designs, with the neon blue lights in front, but other than that, they don't strike me as particularly modern, let alone futuristic. As seen in Kansai, there seems to be a strong focus on flying vehicles (rather than taking a regular bus, Swindler takes a flying bus; these are everywhere in the city.) Maybe this is just a universe where cars and motorcycles weren't developed all that much, in favour of flying vehicles, except for people who are specifically bike nerds (as in: Courier).

I'm putting it this way knowing the way Kodaka talked about technological advancements in his current project, RAIN CODE: it takes place in modern times, but because of the never-ending rain, technological advancements put a focus on covering people from the rain, which is why people have futuristic-looking umbrellas. It could be that he applied a similar logic to vehicles in Akudama Drive.

... ... What was my point again? Oh right, that I'm probably wrong. And I don't know what to expect from Shikoku Arc. I liked the open ending, so if it's going to stray from that, I'm hoping it'll be VERY good, you know?
