— my name is monica and i’ve very recently had the joy of logging back in to this studyblr and feeling inspired to start it up again !

— a bit about me :

i’m currently wrapping up my second year of my undergraduate degree in history, specialising in law and history ! i’m also doing a minor in indigenous studies

i speak english and french and enjoy learning bits and pieces of different languages for fun. i can hold a conversation in spanish and italian, say ‘i’m so tired i could die’ in mandarin and hope to pick up bits of german, arabic and croatian in the future.

Happy Easter if you celebrate! I’m currently an Erasmus student, so this year I’m spending it differently. It’s my first time away from family during the holidays so I’m feeling a bit lonely today. Nonetheless, I’m loving my time here, visiting new places and roaming around, and I’m glad I got the opportunity to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience!

Current read! I scored this one second-hand not too long ago. I’ve been looking forward to reading it ever since I caught gif sets of the TV show on my dash. Anyway, I hope this week will be kind to all of us. Sending you sunshine 🌞

deux ans plus tard (presque trois !) je reviens à mon compte d’étude, inspirée par ma journée productive et un reel que j’ai vu sur instagram. quel chose ! regarder les posts de mon passé, voir les effets du temps sur qui je suis. il y a tellement qui a changé depuis que j’étais en 11e année au secondaire. une pleine pandémie ! depuis ce temps j’ai gradué du secondaire, je commence bientôt mes examens du dernier semestre de la deuxième année de mon bac, j’ai été en amour, j’ai déménagé à la plus grande ville de mon pays toute seule, je suis entourée d’amis que j’aime du point le plus profond de mon cœur. quelle vie ! quelle joie ! l’avril se passe si bien et la vie est tellement meilleure qu’elle était il y a deux ans presque trois.

finishing off my bullet journal from july of last summer with a week-in-review and a well-needed journaling session on who i (think that i) want to be and how i can continue moving towards that direction ✨

last week was definitely rough, to say the least. I’m grateful for letting myself ride out the emotions and after an exhausting night, I actually felt pretty refreshed this morning. 

I’m trying to indulge in the little things I do have control over right now- how I like my coffee/tea in the mornings, how often I talk to my mom on the phone, how good I feel after eating foods that make me feel nourished, whether or not it’s a nice enough day to study outside for an hour or too. it all helps.

if quarantine has taught me anything, it’s how strong and brave I can be when faced with uncontrollable circumstances.
