What do you say you allow yourself to simply “BE” this morning? To stop and breathe and let your breath bring your mind where it will best serve you today. Let’s face it, things are changing quickly these days, so consider.. it’s up to you to decide where you will allow your mind to go with each days developments. If you set up your mind and purpose it in the direction it will go, you position yourself for peace. Your entire day can continue in that direction by intention and purpose.. its not often we as a culture have “time for ourselves”. And suddenly we have weeks to ourselves, home with ourselves. Sure we can busy ourselves with work, homeschool etc, but I believe God gives you what you need not what you want. “God gives REST to those he loves” Prov 20:13 So I challenge you to join me THIS MORNING. LONG POST ALERT! Allow me to introduce yourself to the girl on the left. She’s 21-year-old Samantha Grace. She is joyful, friendly, outgoing and fun. She loves God and loves people. Unaware to herself, she is also trapped in her own skin. She is a professional dieter, dieting has been a way of life for her and she has even attended OA as a teen because her relationship to food was not a healthy one. . She goes on to meet the man of her dreams and has a beautiful baby girl. Life is great, all while continuing to struggle with her weight. . Enter the pregnancy of her second child.. which she loses to a miscarriage and her world crashes before her very eyes. . It’s with this great loss she begins to question her faith from childhood, and out of the kindness of the Lord, he meets her in her deepest and darkest need. He becomes so real to her that there is nothing left but to surrender her life to him. SHE SAID YES! . By simply taking that risk of faith, he gave her two miracles that day. He blessed her with a beautiful baby boy, Aaron Edward, and gave her the gift of health and restored her relationship to food to a healthy one, so that she could honor her body as his temple. . FAST FORWARD to the girl on the right, she is 49-year-old (soon to be 50 in May😳) Samantha Ditzel! She is a strong, powerful force of love and she is called to awaken those people God places in her path to true freedom.. To break the lies of “I don’t belong here, I’m not good enough” and the comparison that our culture has suckered us into with social media.
