Bit briefs on the family,
Mikhail Disraeli:
Surface Job - production company owner as well as owner to a hotel/casino
Ex-prostitute. Adopted son of the deceased Rafail Disraeli. Runs a lot of the business side of things and makes himself well known among the surface society and underground society as well, to take attention off of his sister.
Cassandra “Sunny” Disraeli:
Surface Job - student
Previously Carlisle Glas. The runaway adopted son of Aisling Glas. A psychic with unpredictable precognition and minor telepathy. Was often used as a tool by her mother. Her abilities and visions sold to the highest bidder. Currently goes to a private school. Bit bratty, shy and naive, but wants to help her new family anyway.
Phuong An
Surface Job - Kickboxing Instructor
A well-known assassin (though not infamous) under the aliases “Raven”. Primarily does sniping missions. Family was killed by Raf, resulting in a severe burn scar on her face. Originally wanted to kill Raf, but when she found out he was dead, she went after Mikhail and Lazuli. Was stopped and offered a position with them. Distant, professional, aggressive and comes off as cold.
David Spencer:
Surface Job - security guard
Ex-military soldier. Was dishonorably discharged 4 years ago due to assaulting a superior officer, causing severe injuries. Claimed it was for “no good reason”. Actually attacked the man for sexually assaulting a private, though he refused to bring it up for the sake of the victim’s pride. Large and intimidating, but a giant teddy bear of a man. Lost his wife and young daughter in 2004 while he was deployed.
Jakob Todd:
Surface Job - bookstore owner
Ex-prostitute. The first person to join Mikhail and Lazuli out of a sort of comradery. Helps gather information and gossip in exchange for the Disraeli funding his bookstore. Rabbit shifter.
Lazuli Disraeli:
Surface Job - owner of the Laurant and main singer
Ex-prostitute. Adopted daughter of the deceased Rafail Disraeli. Works in the shadows, collecting connections, information, and other jobs. Still sort of sells herself for some connections.
Lucain “Luca” Aides:
Surface Job - bartender and manager at the Laurant
Ex-CIA spy that’s been falsely burned. Helped orchestrate Raf’s death and has chosen to work with Lazuli ever since. Demon. Extremely talented, but also extremely unlucky. A host of various skills from disguise and weaponry to bomb defusing and parlor tricks. Most useful skill is his knowledge of his old job and how security matters are handled.
Diego Aguilar:
Surface Job - Uber driver, also does odd jobs
Son of a poor family getting grief from loan sharks. Took on their debts as soon as he was old enough to work. Still couldn’t make a dent in the debt until Lazuli “bought” him and paid off his family’s debt in full, plus extra. Currently helps collect payments for the Disraeli. Also works as a getaway driver when need be. Can operate cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles and is learning to operate a helicopter. Seems serious but is goofy and relaxed. Still sends money home to his family, even though he never contacts them, for their safety. Drives the Disraeli’s luxury cars.
Hyun Bin:
Surface Job - bouncer at the Laurant
Ex-cop. When his coworker and best friend, Chris, was killed, Hyun tried to keep up, though not get involved, with the investigation. When the case was dropped due to “lack of evidence”, he quit the force and became an underground fighter to get answers elsewhere. Was recruited by Lazuli last year. Seemingly distant and secretive, but also fiercely protective and a bit snarky. Was scouted to be an idol when he was younger, and still sings k-pop when drunk enough. Good with explosives and brings knowledge of how the police work.
Amara Bolynne:
Surface Job - boutique clerk and amateur designer
A human trafficking victim of Zeno’s. Family is presumed dead. Fortunately, she was bought by the Disraeli and now help to gather information and gossip in exchange for them funding her shop. A near genius in chemistry, she also helps in developing formulas, studying drugs and other related tasks.
