G-Man from HL2 + Episodes (gman_high.mdl) is made up of 7,450 triangles. Including his briefcase.

G-Man from Half-Life: Alyx is made up of 87,739 triangles.

G-Man’s Briefcase from Half-Life: Alyx is made up of 10,200 triangles. 

That means G-Man from HL:A with briefcase included has at least 12 times the detail of his model from HL2 + Episodes. A lot can change in almost 13 years.

Half-Life: Alyx Cast (So Far) - Part 3: Pointless Speculation! 

(Take all this with a grain of salt, just the mad ramblings of a fan)

Cissy Jones: Confirmed to be part of the cast and not surprising considering she played a role in Campo Santo’s last game before being acquired by Valve: Firewatch. She was announced along with all the other actors and I’m going to assume her role will be something bigger than the local population.

Michael Shapiro: Although already confirmed to be reprising his role as the G-Man, I’m hoping this will also open the door for a cameo from Barney Calhoun. Could be cool to see Barney pop-in as an undercover Metrocop again, assisting the player before returning to his “shift”.

Harry S. Robins: Unconfirmed but given he’s provided voice work for a Dota 2 character and even reprising Dr. Isaac Kleiner in the form of an announcer pack I’m hoping Dr. Kleiner will return in some form. It’s hard to imagine a Half-Life game without his iconic voice. 

Merle Dandridge: Completely unconfirmed and I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up but due to the nature of the fact that it’s recommended you play HL2:EP2 before experiencing HL:A, this has my mind racing with ideas of what kind of strange time bending elements the plot could have. With that, I’m just throwing out the idea that perhaps the Alyx we know from HL2 will appear in some form, possibly coming face to face with the younger Alyx we play as in HL:A. It’s wishful thinking on my part but I really just wanna see Merle as Alyx again. I will say assuming all the VO in the trailer is Ozioma Akagha, she does a great Alyx but I’ll still miss the original. 

Robert Guillaume and Robert Culp: I’m thinking these two could return through archival recordings as the HL2-versions of Eli and Breen. Assuming HL:A does have any time travel stuff like I mentioned above. 

John Aylward: If Dr. Magnusson returns in some form, I hope they give his character some more depth. 

John Patrick Lowrie and Mary Kae Irvin: I’m curious if they’d return as the citizens for HL:A or even if the citizens will appear at all. If I don’t get to throw bottles at C17 citizens in VR and hear their reactions I’ll be pretty sad. 

Michelle Forbes: I’d like to see Dr. Mossman again but seems unlikely.
