VISION
Are your collages made with photoshop or are they real paper? I love them.
thank you so much! for your nice words and the cool question. most of my collages are equally analog and digital products. at this point I have a huge collection of photo books at home that I found on the street as well as boxes of magazines from the 80s and 90s. I also spend a great deal of time at the library where I copy the rather not so easy to find stuff like male nudes or large-scale portraits, etc. these are basically my pools of resources. the actual procedure is that I go through these pools and look for a centerpiece that I wanna build a narrative around. I then continue to look for additional material that goes well with it, cut out and scan everything I need, simply to have the option to use stuff more often than just for one piece. when this is done I put everything together, either by hand or digitally, and eventually scan it again and do little edits here and there and before I get it printed.
I explain this so elaborately because of the archival work that is put into play here. It is of importance to me to trace back, do a little history homework and bring together a new reality, but also on a more personal level, ever since I’ve been dealing with those existential issues I wanted to leave something rather physical behind and not just a gmail account and a tumblr blog. It feels also bizarre but cool to go through those softporn/gay erotic books at the library and try to pull apart certain pages of those books that are miraculously stuck together.
I visited the most magical abandoned building this morning. ✨
This is a real dinosaur foot.
It still amazes me that these things were REAL and that we’re finding things like this. Skeletons are one thing but this foot is freaking wild.
tHIS IS REALLY COOL OK
It died giving the finger.
There are two kinds of people on Tumblr.
This just confirms my belief that chickens are small dinosaurs.
