Want to run a Harvest Moon fan site?

So http://www.hmotaku.net/ is in need of a new dedicated group of fans to take over and revive. It’s been a very popular Harvest Moon fan site for years (forums more so than the site itself) but all the people that have been a part of it are so busy with their lives now that we’ve all kind of abandoned it in the process. It’s not up to date and there’s a lot of missing content, but there is a lot of potential.

Please message me at this blog if you’re interested for the position! Let me know why you should be given the power to run the site! We’re looking for as many people as possible in the Harvest Moon/Rune Factory/Bokumono fandom!

I have a few questions, sorry!

Will there be need for intensive web design overhaul? I have a basic grasp on HTML and CSS, but not enough to completely re-do anything. Just enough to put in some new pages and design the pages separately (like putting in images, text formatting, basic page stuff).

Are you looking for forum moderators, or more or less just people to fill in missing information? I have never moderated before, but I have a deep love for the Bokujō Monogatari franchise, and would love to help compile information for the site and get those pages running.

Will there be any fees? I’ve never bought a domain before, and I’m not sure if there’s any fees that go along with it, especially since the site is so old? I assume I wouldn’t be paid since it’s a fansite, but I didn’t know if I would have to help pay for the web hosting.

Sorry for asking these questions in the reblogs instead of as a message! I thought these questions might be something others may be curious about as well. Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply! I got busy and forgot. Heh.

1. Not at all. It’s up to you if you wanted to, but it recently had one.

2. Both, eventually. I think the site really needs to fill its content. There’s a lot of information that’s missing in the games listed and there’s a lot of games that haven’t even made it to the games list of the site! That’s the number one thing to do on the list. 

3. No fees, we have that covered.
