For anyone interested in Black men doing ballet, I have to recommend Kadeem.enpointe and Ellington Hoffman on instagram! Here's Kadeem dancing Odile's fouettes from Swan Lake and here's Ellington dancing to american girl by harry styles both are really beautiful to watch, even if you don't know anything about dancing!
Nice! Thank you for sharing!
I would like to recommend Kadeem.enpointe! Heâs a Black ballet dancer who often performs outside and also might be the most beautiful person Iâve ever seen

Black Magical Girl Hall of Fame!
With Black History Month coming to a close, I wanted to make a little collage of what I call the Black Magical Girls Hall of Fame! It makes me glad to see that more black creators doing their own takes on the genre ( Myself included. đ đ But mine isn't featured on here.)
Sorry if I'm missing anyone not featured here. Tumblr won't let me go over it's 10 image limit. If any of y'all want to include anyone, feel free to reblog.

Simplifying Black OCs for Chibis
Hey Lovelies! This is the start of my written tutorial blog! I thought I'd do some stuff relevant to whatever I'm working on. I noticed sometimes people cant draw black characters in chibi form because they think that they need to keep every feature and not simplify it which has always been odd to me because like, you have to simplify it one way or another because it's a chibi. Anyways, here's how i've been doing it this past month on art fight!
What you want to keep
First you want to decide what you want to keep and what you want to remove. Whatever you keep you will simplify. No questions asked. In my case i dont like drawing noses on my chibi characters so I will nawt be keeping that! Instead i will be keeping lips and obviously most of everything else, im just gonna simplify it all
For this tutorial I have @sirteddy1987 âs OC from Art fight. I'm starting with keeping a mental note of what I want to do.Â
I want to remove the nose
I want to keep both the top and bottom lips (sometimes i remove the top and add it in rendering instead of linework)
Starting with a sketch I map down the pose of course and then go for the face.Â
Making the OC still look the same without a nose
Sometimes when people draw other peoples OCs especially if the art style is very specific, you may look at it and think âthey don't look the same at allâ so how can we avoid this using a chibi style? Simple. You avoid it by making sure that the rest of the features correlate as closely as you can.Â
In this case their Oc can be easily identified through eye shape, lip shape, hair and other accessories like glasses, i apply all of these features to my sketch and finally refine them on my linework
Finally, although not everyone will have the ability, I can fully refine the look using coloring! Of course it's always helpful to have color when you want to make your Black OC chibi, but we also want to be able to replicate what a character looks like without having to resort to color.Â

Hopefully this helped in some way! I will be doing this more often!! :)) if there's any requests you can request them in the asks!

Senshi (Dungeon Meshi)
Ryland Grace (Project Hail Mary)
Mr. Ant Tenna (Deltarune)
Tenna art by @9Aaaalt29 on twt
âAnd if youâll give me 40% of the MOST POPULAR VOTE, Iâll give you my SPECIAL REWARD... A yearâs supply of NON-GLOOBY SLIME!!! Never or BARELY used!!!â Tenna concluded his speech with a huge smile, jetting his hands up in double peace signs.
The crowd roared in confused enthusiasm as Tenna gave a gracious flurry of low-FPS bows, pausing only for the occasional stink-nose at his audience plants who werenât throwing enough 3D roses.
Eventually, the room fell silent. It was Senshiâs turn to speak.
He puffed out his chest, took a long, sweeping look over the audience⌠and shook his head.
âI can see not all of you are eating properly.â
The crowd murmured with embarrassment.
âI donât know who needs to hear this, but itâs time to take the turkey out of your icebox. I have seen the ingenious technology with which your people store food... and I have also seen the waste which results from such convenience.
âThe food you take had a life. Beasts grew fat on the grass of the field, plants grew from the sunâs rays, and mushrooms grew from minerals in the cracks of caves. And yet, it sits in your iceboxes, collecting moisture until it perishes.
âEat what is given to you. Because its life will make you stronger, too.â
Without another word, Senshi left his podium and stepped away from the stage. The crowd murmured in confusion. âIs he really like that?â somebody said. âI only remember reblogging the photosets of him tripping and showing ass.â
--
Back in the Green Room, Tenna wrung his antennas nervously.
âY-y-you think they liked me!? They HAD to!! I mean, I donât know what Asgore was thinking, getting that weird haircut and running that food waste campaign, but⌠YOU thought I did good, didnât you, Kris?â
Laios nodded aggressively, a streak of blue face paint peeling from his forehead.
âYou did AMAZING, Tenna! By the way, now that weâve seen all your insider campaign secrets, do you have any more videos of Susie? Especially her tail... If I could get a look at that, I could finally tell if sheâs a dinosaur or --â
THWACK. Fake antlers butted Laiosâs head.
âLAIOS?? Werenât we dressed up to help SENSHI???â Marcille hissed, gesturing awkwardly with her hooves.
Suddenly, Tenna turned to the two adventurers.
âHey, WAIT a second. SOMETHINGâs not right here...â
Laios and Marcille held their breath.
âWhere the heck are my POINTS!?â
Just then, the door opened. Chilchuck took one step into the room, whistling and holding a large bag.
Everyone turned to him.
Chilchuck paused, took a step backwards, and closed the door.
âCHILCHUCK!!!â yelled Tenna.
âHow come Chilchuck got to stay Chilchuck!?â yelled Marcille at the same time.

This is my online accessibility (especially image description) masterpost, which I update periodically whenever I find a new resource or guide. I worry this has the side effect of looking overwhelming in scope, so if you're learning about IDs and/or Tumblr-specific accessibility for the first time, I recommend you start with the first six posts, under "The Basics". All post titles are clickable links!
The Basics
[Plain text: "The Basics". End PT]
Why and how to write image descriptions
Accessibility on Tumblr for new users (has templates, also talks about how to tag for flashing lights to accommodate photosensitive folks)
I see an image and want to describe it: a step by step guide
Fanart-specific and Tumblr-specific advice for image descriptions
How to describe screenshots of tags
IDs versus Alt Text, from a visually impaired Tumblr user (spoiler alert: sometimes it makes sense to use both)
Level of Detail
[Plain text: "Level of Detail?" End PT]
Why a short ID is always better than no ID
Blind people discuss the level of detail to include in IDs
The key word for writing IDs: "Relevancy"
Helpful Communities, Tips, and Tools
[Plain text: "Helpful Communities, Tips, and Tools." End PT]
I want to make my posts more accessible, but canât write IDs myself: a guide
The People's Accessibility Discord sever (also mentioned in the previous link. It's a friendly server for crowdsourcing image descriptions, with description requests and feedback requests both welcomed)
Google Doc full of template descriptions for memes
Online image to text converter
Describing skin tone and describing hair (heads up that the posts themselves are undescribed and were written with fiction writers in mind; potentially still very useful)
How to remember to write descriptions (spoiler: by putting yourself in situations where you see descriptions more often)
Related, a Google doc of described blogs (almost all the blogs linked earlier in this post have tons of described posts and resources too)
(In my opinion, writing IDs is easiest to learn by doing â but especially if combined with watching other people do so. So follow some described blogs!)
Miscellaneous
[Plain text: "Miscellaneous". End PT]
Alt text vs IDs vs Captions with examples
Why not to put image descriptions in small fonts/italics (also, some non-definitive thoughts on IDs vs alt text)
Special characters read by all screen readers
Brief Intro to Transcripts/Video Descriptions
Myths That Harm Blind People
How to make your blog's colors visually accessible - one of the easiest thing on this list!
Other easy things: show love to artists who describe their work, edit descriptions into your original post when someone provides one in the notes, and copy-paste inaccessible (eg, small text or italicized) descriptions as plain text when you reblog!
Lastly, and maybe most importantly, how to continue writing image descriptions while avoiding burnout.
Let me know if any of these links break! I personally don't describe nearly as much audio/video (got those audio processing issues), so this list is sparse on those resources, but if anyone has good guides/blog recommendations for that too, feel free to add on!
