final state exam today
edit: got it. hello, this is me, and i have a degree
i have been studying for max 1,5 hours per day 🤡 i have the big exam in 9 days 🤡 my brain is frozen from fear but, hey. at least im panicking with ice coffee in hand, amirite
yesterday’s study time: two hours (120min)
behind with revision as usual but, we move on. aiming for three hours today!

IM GETTING PSYCHIC DAMAGE FROM Catalogisation TERMINOLOGY. PLS SAVE ME
edit: damage so large i scheduled a meeting with my uni library’s head of catalogisation department

so thirty minutes of study time and many hours of young adult angst aside - i rotated all the pics in my phoca holders. yay me
let’s aim for an hour of studying tomorrow. and - i’ll promise to try waking up before ten. by force if necessary

update: i did squeeze in some project hours on thursday, then had the exam and project presentation friday, and today, i did a grand total of nothing :) very fun
project was accepted as sufficient! yay. 32/40 i think. i’ll take it.
with the spring heat i’m falling into iced coffees instead of my usual espressos, very unusual for me.

“cool tip” for the tasks that you hate, make you sleepy, seem endless and never-ending and so so boring: just multitask.
if you’re like me and know you Will just push it away and never actually work no matter how well you plan the study session, just: do five minutes and scroll for ten. text with friends during it. have a video in the background.
yes you would have it done faster if you “locked in” but, hand on heart, are you actually able to do that
⬆️ me working with my hate of required reading
Studying psychiatry which turned out to be even more interesting than I anticipated!! Hoping to make some time to start reading Horsie today🌞
yesterday and today - won’t try to count study hours, but there’s a couple of them (improvement!)
i’m finding that, sometimes, multitasking is better. multiple sounds, screens, tasks, anything to get That one thing done 🥹
that being said: group project is done. yay.
state of the study session: opening a new tab to layer internet commentary over the lofi beats and considering turning on the drive in the rain on a highway video as well

1. just discovered tumblr filters are a thing
2. study time: 124 minutes (2h 4min) - if counting meeting
3. i blame the bleak results of the day on the dentist
so that was yesterday. lots of family time. more creative tasks too? dear god, as kind as i am to myself about not pushing to study,,, this ain’t good
study time: 30 minutes
(last picture from pinterest, not mine)
whenever i overplan a day, the next one i wake up with an empty brain 🥹 let’s see - i have about 11 hours of the day left. aiming for 6 of those to be studying 📚
edit: so i spent the whole day: napping, snacking, and engaging with my interests. it's been hard to accept that there's limits to how much work my brain can take, and to accept the funny ways in which it copes with challenges i put in front of it.
but - i've spent near a decade pushing, pretending i'm a study robot who need not pause, receive care, or have its needs met or acknowledged. and it made me miserable (and no work got done). so today, though i didn't study, i've had a happy day, one that recharged me, and i know tomorrow i can focus on school again.
somehow this was supposed to be a study day? i ended up devoting hours to personal admin instead, which was necessary. now i am, however, starting to feel a bit jittery about the large sum of information i need to stuff in my head, and very fast at that. in any case - logging my day in notes turned out to be quite pleasant, i would like it to become a habit
total study time: 112 minutes (1h 52min)
another regret of someone preparing for their final degree exam:
switching notetaking apps 🥹 yes, experiment. but no, don’t experiment with your university notes. try to choose something straight away that is not dependent on a subscription and isn’t hyper dependent on specific user design (example: notion and its formatting).
i use obsidian because of: design, organisation options, no cost, frequent free updates, back-up options, plugin options.
my biggest regret so far, as someone preparing for their final degree exam:
not saving past exam questions and test variations as testified by colleagues into a separate and regularly updated file with connected files which depict sneakily taken pictures of exam papers.
pls do it (and remember it’s never too late to start)
