Good thing is that hockey free-agent camps are more friendly to newcomers than... regular job opportunities, you know?

I like comics and I like hockey, so I decided to make comics about hockey. A minor league scenario was chosen because I can, at the same time, draw stories where hockey is a main subject, but also focus on the everyday life of some regular guy. Like bills, and... you know, issues we all have in our bored regular lives.

At least my characters can hit the ice, shoot some pucks and check their problems away for a while.

I had written this story before, but I'm changing to a more realistic setting for a minor pro league, starting with the selection of the players. Instead of an entry draft, more common to major leagues, a free agent camp is more accurate.

Well, indeed, hockey is not just speed and skating and checking and passing and scoring, but also enduring hits, so I think that makes sense.
