Kremmling? Isn't that in Moscow? Why are you looking at the weather in Russia?
Lol, no, no. Youāre thinking of the Kremlin. Kremmling is a town in Colorado.
No, Kremmling is Miss Piggy's Muppet Lover.
No, thatās Kermit. Kremmling is a type of small animal in the Stormlight Archive setting.
Oh Reddit user Rheojun youāve got something waiting for you.

Hello!! I just wanted to tell you that your URL is one of my all time favorites. Hoid is a very special character to me, and he reminds me of a dear friend in my life who is one of the finest banjo players I've ever seen. Fr I had to do a double take when I saw your URL the first time because it was so weirdly specific!! :)
it happened again⦠i forgot about my inbox.
anyways i love this! i think when i picked my url i was thinking of that string instrument that youād plays in the stormlight archive, but i donāt even think itās anything like a banjo lol. either way, iām glad my url made you happy!!
wait what did i miss why are talking about fortnite again??
Adolin: *visibly distressed*
Shallan: What happened? I haven't seen you look like this since you found out Candyland isn't a real country.
Adolin: I killed Sadeas and Iām not sorry.
Shallan:Ā

I have an unpopular opinion about the cosmere (at least i think itās unpopular): I really do not like (hate?) Kelsier as a person (as a character heās very well written). Heās just straight up a bad person, and I think in the long term had a really negative impact on Vin. Obviously the crew taught her to trust others, which is great, but she does so many terrible things later on in the series because āitās what kelsier would do,ā and it takes her such a long time to move on from that. idkā¦. iām curious how others feel about this so please let me know!
Iām pretty sure Branderson himself said that if Kels were in any series besides Mistborn, heād be the villain. Straight up, his morals are not good.
So. Yeah. Great character. Love his charisma and his drive. But OH MY GOD THIS MAN SHOULD NEVER HAVE TAKEN DOWN LORD RULER
This is... kinda concerning tbh. I mean, sure, murder's not the most moral thing, but I'm not really responding to you here. I'm just concerned by Sanderson's comments.
...See, fantasy is a genre with a weirdly pro-monarchy history, and Sanderson is extremely guilty of that (especially in Stormlight). And then, his only well known characters that meaningfully resist their unjust dictators are Kelsier and Moash, and for BOTH of those characters, Sanderson has gone in an interview and said "yes that person is evil and bad and mean and Problematic."
The idea of an author telling the fandom how to interpret their character is already pretty suspect, and adding in the context makes it kind of gross. The message is basically, "hey, be like Kaladin, not like Moash! You should support the unjust government which literally enslaved you (and kill lots of people for them on the battlefield), not do something HIDEOUSLY IMMORAL like murdering one (1) person in an attempt to stop that injustice!"
This gets especially suspect when Well of Ascension is like "ohhhh boy you sureeee shouldn't have killed the lord ruler hohoho he was protecting you from something worse," and then Well of Ascension also is like "ahaha why would you ever try DEMOCRACY you STUPID IDIOT, go back to MONARCHY."
ooo i like this comment. my reasoning for disliking kelsier is i think he takes things too far. he thinks every noble is evil simply for being noble, and believes that killing all nobles and anyone associated with them is good, because it's for the "greater good" or whatever. i for sure think that he was in the right for getting rid of the lord ruler, even if there were consequences after.
on the moash note, i definitely fell into the boat of disliking him in my first read through (some of my old posts make that very apparent) but on my second read through, thanks to some more time to mature and also a bunch of people on this site, i realized he was right in many ways, though i still do not think his methods were the greatest.
but long story short, i don't like kelsier because he corrupted vin a bit, not by leading her to take down the lord ruler, but by teaching her that it is okay to throw away innocent lives in order to get what you want.
sorry for the breeze neglect :(
