she stuck out a single arm before changing her mind and deciding the rest of the tank is too scary, far too scary by far she is scared
save yourself the high blood pressure and accept that most people now don't have passable reading comprehension. at least accept it when you're scrolling online

By Jonathan Lee CW genocide, ethnic violence Between 1936 and 1945 the Nazis wiped out over 50% of Europe’s Romani people. Whether they were choked to death in the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birk…
The Romani people who were the easiest to record and exterminate were those who were the most integrated in society. Like the Jews, these people existed on census records, military rosters, and school files. The decimation of this Romani middle-class meant that there were few strong voices who were in a position to speak up about the Romani genocide after 1945.
There were no Sinti or Roma called to testify at the Nuremberg trials. There were no Romani scholars, no Romani lawyers, no civil servants. No one left to document the atrocities committed against Romani people alongside the Jews – the only two peoples specifically targeted by the Nazis’ Final Solution to ensure German racial purity.
Whereas census data for Jews can be compared before and after the Holocaust, this is rarely the case for Sinti and Roma, meaning the total loss of Romani life is extremely difficult to piece together. Estimates vary somewhere between 500,000 and 1.5 million people. In 1939, around 30,000 people referred to as ‘Gypsies’ lived in what is now Germany and Austria. The total population living in Greater Germany and its occupied territories is unknown, though scholars Donald Kenrick and Grattan Puxon have provided a rough estimate of 942,000. Of the Sinti and Roma living in Germanic Central Europe, only 5,000 are thought to have survived.

Pictures of the Romani civil rights movement, a movement that has now been defanged by neoliberal and pimping lobbies to work against the 80% of Roma living below the poverty line and against the Romani women being forced into prostitution. The EU is imperialist at its core, is built on the rape and trafficking of Romani women, on the slave labor of Romani workers, and on the death of Romani activists. Only with its downfall will we be able to liberate our people
Whenever white middle class Americans pull the "well I'm American so I didn't know" like...baby, this isn't a problem of nationality, this is a problem of racism + stupidity + weaponized incompetence and learned helplessness. You didn't not know Sudan was a country bc of the American school system; you didn't know because you're a totally uncurious dumbass.
here's what living in a neocolonial state looks like:
-a man from an imperialist country can come on your land, rape, torture and kill you, and neither your government or his will try or convict him (he can also fuck around with your land) the British Army are notorious for this in Kenya (also Chinese workers, a good chunk of which are actually prisoners/criminals)
-the policies of your government are just business decisions between the old money politicians of your government and the businessmen from other imperialist countries, like a random Kendall Roy can influence your government policies, and you can't stop him
-because of this, outsiders get to determine what is and isn't allowed to develop as an industry in our country based on how it benefits the empire's industries (e.g. fast fashion has stifled African fashion industries)
-human trafficking is easier to do and get away with, which means if you're captured off your home street and sold, your government will do fuckall to save you, and whoever has you can do whatever they want without repercussions (don't get me started on the foreigner adoption market)
basically, living in a neocolonial state means your rights and government policies are determined largely by outsider forces for their own economic gain, and this is especially true for the women living in them
which means you have schrodinger's autonomy, it may or may not exist based on the whims of men with more money than you
there is no imperial force (such as imperial military) that has EVER occupied foreign spaces and not abused, misused or violated the local women there
there is no benign or innocent imperial military force, they literally have to coverup what they do on foreign bases
this is why you cannot be pro-imperialism/colonialism and a feminist
An 18 yr old trans girl was killed in Serbia by her 33 yr old partner - chopped to pieced and left to rot in plastic bags in his apartment for 20 days when the police knew her last known planned location/contact was with him!
Of course, this sparked a conversation about trans rights from both sides, the trans flag and the memorial set up for her were destroyed by right wingers while the LGBT community is alluding to transphobia being the culprit of her murder while it's obvious it was a "crime of passion" (hate that term)
Anyway. This kid was 18 years old and was chopped to fucking pieces. If you consider her a gay boy or a trans girl, I literally don't care. When a real fucking human being, A Kid, is killed by their intimate partner (who is ofc a man...), when a real family is grieving a life that was just starting, when friends are still in denial and expect her to come out of any corner possible is this time really suitable for endless discussions?? For endless jokes?!
"a faggot killed a faggot, who cares" - is a comment often made
And this exact comment/line of thinking highlists the point I've been unsuccessfuly trying to make - trans rights and this whole postmodern discussion cannot be and shouldn't be taken over to countries in transition, people here view us as all the same, it's a situation not unlike in the US before the 2000's.
Discourse done here thats based on western politics and situations just doesn't fucking apply, and instead of us banding all together (which I think would've happened naturally if not for the imported hate) we are on different sides of the aisle?
What fucking aisle? The aisle here doesn't fucking exist, we don't have that fucking priviledge. I literally don't care what an LGBT person was identifying as before they were murdered, my heart hurts for her like she was my fucking blood relative.
Gay rights are so far down on the list when you're living in an authoritarian regime, it's ridiculous to be importing postmodern discourse when here nothing is relative, and there is no "my truth" or "your truth" bc we're gonna be beat up just the same no matter how we identify.
A kid died. An 18 year old was chopped up. Left in plastic bags. In the apartment of the last known person who made contact with her. And the police didn't fucking think to search it - so she was just rotting there. For 20 days.
She gone girled irl

#Cecil said damn this is a real head scratcher *dies*
“I sometimes turn on the radio and I find very often that what I'm listening to is a discussion of sports. These are telephone conversations. People call in and have long and intricate discussions, and it's plain that quite a high degree of thought and analysis is going into that. People know a tremendous amount. They know all sorts of complicated details and enter into far-reaching discussion about whether the coach made the right decision yesterday and so on. These are ordinary people, not professionals, who are applying their intelligence and analytic skills in these areas and accumulating quite a lot of knowledge and, for all I know, understanding. On the other hand, when I hear people talk about, say, international affairs or domestic problems, it's at a level of superficiality that's beyond belief.” ― Noam Chomsky
europeans have types of racism i didn't even know existed
you can drive for two hours in europe and pass through 17 different types of racism

when ppl see a straight couple who are sort of quirky: omg they’re queering relationships!! they got tattoos instead of rings when they got traditionally married!
when ppl see a butch/femme lesbian couple: oh you guys are just imitating heterosexuality which is problematic
