a pout took over shawn’s features. what a cruel reminder on this, shawn’s special week. “let’s just hide out here and never go back to our lives. we’ll assume new identities and have my mom send tessa to us.” jokes aside, it’d be hell to go back on the road through the last bit of his tour without tom by his side. tom definitely had a point in soaking up every last free minute they had together. this was a start, tom on top of him and shawn’s fingers splayed across the small of his back as he pretended to consider their options. “i think you know damn well what i’m thinking,” he murmured, his gaze wandering not-so-subtly south.

he pressed a quick kiss to shawn’s lips in an attempt to wipe the frown off of his face. “that idea sounds great and all but i love the name tom mendes too much to give it up now. i’ve only just had it what... two days? not long enough.” plus, it wasn’t like they were going to be separated that whole time. he was sure they would find ways to see each other, whether that be shawn going to ohio or tom hiding out on his tour bus - where theres a will, there’s a way. “i think i have a pretty good idea.” he smirked, pressing in closer to the other. “but we have far too many layers on right now.”

“yeah but we won’t be newlyweds forever, will we? plus when we go back we have to go back to our actual jobs and be separated for a little bit and who wants that? certainly not me. gotta take advantage of all the time i have this week with you.” while he was mostly joking, it was true that the second they left fiji they would have to go back to the real world, where they had jobs to do. “i also don’t know if the law would look too kindly on us christening the beach, so i think we may have to settle for the honeymoon suite.” he agreed with a nod, pressing in closer to shawn. “lotta different things we could do in here, what were you thinking?”

squeezing his hand gently, tom couldn’t help but to let his eyes wander over to the wedding bands on their fingers. the symbol to the rest of the world that they were fully and one hundred percent committed to each other, as if they didnt make it obvious every chance they got. “we can certainly do that, we’ve got the whole day ahead of us baby. a whole week of us just relaxing and being husbands. can you believe it?”as soon as shawn invited him to climb back on top of him, he eagerly obliged and took his spot back on top of his husband. “that wouldn’t be too good at all, all of our honeymoon plans would be squashed.” he said, spreading out on top of shawn. “so, what’s your decision for this morning mr. mendes?”
