10 years ago Bleach debuted on Adult Swim, and it changed my life. I remember seeing the ad for the first time and it intrigued me, this was a time before I had internet or a way to get anime/manga information. Adult Swim was my fix for discovering anime (uncut anime) and I loved seeing new anime (some of them were not liked by me after getting the feel for it, which can be said for everything). Now comes the part where I finally saw it after weeks of waiting, and I was hooked within 5 minutes! The opening of it was cool I liked the style and music of it, with all of the stuff. When the episode starts we see Ichigo kicking the skateboard punk's asses and I love how that went lol, I enjoyed all of that episode. I could go more in depth but I won't write that long. The ending of the anime was also great with the song, then the super funny self aware episode preview and it caps off the debut. It was a special experience to me, like this was something that my life was missing. I used to inform my Nephew (he was 6 back then) of the new anime shown and sometimes he would watch some anime on AS (some of them anyway, but we always watched Toonami also lol), to this day we both love S-Cry-Ed but that's another story. For the 2nd episode the following week I recorded it (I used to record anime (I have 12 8hr VHS tapes with anime) and showed it to him, he loved it too. Later in the day he went to Blockbuster and bought a Shonen Jump magazine, only because Icihigo was on the cover lol (surprisingly). I subscribed to SJ after that for 4 years (2007 - 2011). So many things happened I feel after watching Bleach and I love it still, it will always be in my top anime lists. I even made a Bleach parody series, Bleach Random Files (I have 8 episodes so far). Thank you Bleach, Tite Kubo (creator), Johnny Yong Bosch (Ichigo's dub voice), and everyone involved!
