last weekend our main (this blog) got terminated after a pretty weird series of events… we won’t get into details but although we got it back there was a good chance some rando got access to it, and we don’t feel comfortable staying active here given that context. we won’t delete this blog!! we still have a ton of stuff (art, oc posts, etc) that we need to backup and sideblogs to remake etc so it’ll be sticking around, just mostly inactive. that’s all! we’re still posting all of our usual bullshit on the new blog so

still inactive here! just popping in to mention that ALL of our sideblogs are deleted now since we aren’t using them lol. our old editblr blog will stay up for archival, everything else is gone since like i said we aren’t using em lol ok bye again

This is so stupid but gang can anyone tell us if this is the same as the "i rwported u by accident sorry" type scam you get in tumblr dms? our dms are set so only people we follow can dm us so im assuming thats why they sent it as an ask instead cuz of that but idk. Im 99% sure it is (esp since they randomly followed us directly before sending it) but jve never heard of scammers using asks before so-

MUCH WORK #but i dont regret it either #im still not entirely sure how i did the rendering for this i feel like we just blacked out and our hands learnes some new technique #but i think i like it....#it adds more colour which is good considering our colour palletes are very desaturated and usually on the darker side #also sidenote usually caelus has gloves with this outfit but the blood wouldnt look as yummy if it was stained into cloth instead of just #sittinf on his hands so ;3 #but yeahhhh yayyyy new shading/rendering thing unlocked maybe #whatever im actually rlly proud of this esp since we've been feeling like our style is a bit stale again #but! we found a bunch of new brushes we like and tried some new shading n rendering stuff and i feel way better abt this piece than anythin #else we've made recently #yayyy <3 #oc artist #oc artwork #original character #etc

Ughh but if i make it more tanned we then have the issue of his hair looks weirdly grey. Wjich it shouldnt. But i dont wanna change his hair colour because that thing hasnt changed since day 1

#his underdye changes plenty and he has way longer hair now but the main colour never rlly changes much outside of us giving him darker roots #hmm #this is the problem with having a mostky desaturated colour pallete for ur characters

To be fair. He actually dpesnt look as bad as he did before now. I think i just drew them too small in comparison to caelus so yippy!!!

ok so i come across this in books a lot where its like “there was fondness in his gaze” or “her eyes burned with fury” or “their eyes sparked with curiosity”

is that a real thing?? Does that actually happen irl?? Like can you tell what someones feeling or experiencing through their eyes?? Can that even happen???

#we've never understood it either #i guess its sorta sjmilar to how some actors supposedly show a lot of emotion in their eyes #in writing we've always just perceived it sorta similarly to when weather is used to reflect emotions or mood #<- tho im not sure how to explain that similarity ;_;#its definitely weird though like if their eyes are sparking with curiosity i think they maybe need a doctor????
