Before I head out for my trip, here are a few of the spells I made for my system!
Hello, I am an amateur board game and tabletop game designer who, like most of the community, is incredibly dismayed to see what’s going on with the Open Gaming License. It has, however, spurred me to both be more open and more dedicated with a project I’ve been working on for nearly a year now. Here’s a peak at a small but crucial part of my work so far! So, instead of having 6 different six stats that define your game play, you have a huge range of skills and a huge amount of points to drop into them. These skills are used for all checks. For ease of understanding and (some) game play features, they’re organized into non-binding archetypes, which operate differently than classes — but more on that later. You may be wondering, then what are the 4 attributes in the next image for? Well, they’re point pools! Fortitude and Spirit are typically health pools for physical and spiritual attacks, respectively (more on that later as well) and Reason and Agility are typically pools for your spells and abilities, (guess what, more on that later lol) although each attribute can be used as either an ability pool or health pool, depending on how you build your character and what kind of enemies you’re facing. That’s it for now! I’m gonna try to post more updates sometime in the coming weeks, although an upcoming trip might make it a little long between this post and my next one. Regardless though, if you’re interested in these ideas or this project, feel free to follow and I’ll try to keep you posted!
