Solid Walls Insulation

Remember the boards come in different thicknesses and this is determined by one’s preference as well as the décor and functionality of the house i.e. if one hangs mirrors, paintings and other things, the insulation boards need to be stronger to hold steady.
Stud wall should however be avoided where heavy fittings will be required as they are not as strong but they are best for walls that aren’t even. For external insulation the boards are fixed using adhesive on the outer side. Special fixers are also employed to ensure they are secure as the insulation material is more vulnerable here compared to internal insulation.
The boards need to be reinforced with mesh and rendered after being covered. There are many renders that one can chose in order to acquire the desired decorative effect on the exterior of the walls. When insulating solid walls, one should consider their budget as it’s cheaper to insulate internally however opting for external insulation disrupts less. It also doesn’t interfere with your floor and ceiling space like the internal insulation that reduces your space.
