This photo was taken from Windows on the World, in the other tower, but that's the only scrap of information I've been able to find.

just when I start really settling in to “I don’t want to write right now and that’s OK, I need a break for a while”, I have another haunting Maximum-Ride-adjacent dream :|

this one also jumbled in a lot of personal symbolism and memories, to the point where if my life was a novel, this dream would be laughable in its blatant symbolism. which is rude on the part of my subconscious.

like. being caught between two or more identities (myself, inhabiting someone else, inhabiting someone else). fear, excitement, and longing combined. the presence of an old friend, with whom I had a very close relationship, but grew away from. a house packed full of memorabilia. the presence of specific characters who have specific symbolic significance to me.

like yeah OK, subconscious mind, I get it. it’s important for me to keep growing and changing, even while I honor old parts of my life. goddammit.
