My desire for a healthier lifestyle came in December of 2013 while I was standing in a dressing room forced to try on a size 22. I remember standing there and really looking at myself for the first time in a long time. I had reached an unfathomable 313 pounds and I knew at that moment my life depended on a change. For the better part of my adult life I’ve struggled with being overweight. My life consisted of a steady stream of caffeine, fast food and a job that kept me behind a desk from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
When AdvoCare was introduced to me by a friend, I saw the amazing results she had over time using AdvoCare products and living a healthy lifestyle. I thought, if she could accomplish that, then maybe I could too. I was skeptical at first because I was the type of person that unsuccessfully tried every new diet fad, diet craze, diet anything that hit the market, but I was determined that AdvoCare was going to work for me.
On March 1, 2014, I started my first 24-Day Challenge™. To my surprise, within just a few short days, I actually felt the difference.* I had gone form drinking coffee throughout my whole entire day to not feeling the need to drink it at all!* By day 24, I had lost 13 pounds and 19 inches, and at that moment, I knew I had found something that worked for me.* After the Challenge, I set a goal of 10 pounds a month with continuing products and a healthy, active lifestyle. I remember telling myself that I could be happy at 220 pounds, but when I reached that weight, I pushed the bar even further. My energy alone was a testament that my life was changing for the better, not to mention the amount of weight I lost over time.* I had energy to actually come home and interact with my children rather than finding a comfortable spot on my couch.
