"Those bound to the aspect of Mind are-you guessed it-the universe's great thinkers. But don't for a second think that means that they have all the answers. They are very concerned with remaining rational, and they have such a firm hold on the constant conjunction of their thinking that it's easy for them to see the multitudes of the choices laid out before them, which often leaves them frozen and unable to act. That said, when a Mind-bound finally launches into action, they can execute a plan with unbelievable grace and precision. Their identity is fluid-it can change from day-to-day, from thought-to-thought, from interaction-to-interaction. Remaining logical is more important to them than building up a solid foundation of "self." At their best they are great innovators, architects, and creators. At their worst they can be nasty, inflexible, and indecisive".
"Mind seems to be connected to justice, and not only because of the libra thing. Being the Aspect of decisions, it refers to making choices that will be better for everyone. Mind Player Terezi Pyrope went against her best friend’s plans because she could see that they wouldn’t be fair to anyone but herself. Getting more answers than you have questions is a good way to describe the Aspect. Seeing the patterns of the world, seeing through lies. Mind’s opposite Aspect is “Heart”, which is the Aspect of the soul and emotional world".
Sburb Players each have a combination of an Aspect and a Class. Aspects are understood to represent what a player’s goals and actions in life are caused by. A Class is within an Aspect and understood to represent the way they deal with their Aspect.
The Sburb Classes are Maid, Page, Mage, Knight, Rogue, Sylph, Seer, Thief, Heir, Bard, Prince, and Witch. (Lord and Muse*)
(*Classes Lord and Muse seem to only be possible in either Cherub society or in two-player sessions. They are very absolute and it’s rare for a human to identify with their descriptions. I will have to leave them out here and only write about the remaining twelve :)
Adding the Classes to the Aspect of Mind will result in twelve God Tiers. My analyses of them are as follows:
1st God Tier: Witch of Mind
Witch is the Active Class of manipulation. Witches are known to “control” their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Witch of Mind, specifically, would be the ultimate manipulator, true to the meaning of their Class, since they are the rebels of justice and of the choices and of right and wrong. Mind is an Aspect defined by rationality, facts and patterns, and the Witch would live by using those things for their advantage, by for example lying about what the most logical choices would be, to convince others to follow their lead, by challenging other’s ideas and thoughts just by being themselves, because others would find them convincing even when they wouldn’t be trying to convince anybody. They would be a good example of someone with a “strong” personality, in the sense that just by talking to them you could notice their bold and confident acts. That does not mean they care about who they are inside and how they are viewed, because remember here that Mind in the opposite of Heart, so they are not too in tune with who they are inside and don’t usually care to have a grip of their own sense of self.
2nd God Tier: Heir of Mind
Heir is the Passive Class of manipulation. Heirs are known to “influence” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. An Heir of Mind, specifically, would be a good strategist, being the one who becomes Mind itself, who inherits it. I see the Heir of Mind being the responsible friend, scared of getting wrong the choices they consider to be the best, good at guiding others. They would be great at seeing through lies and dealing with them, having a pretty black and white view of the world. One wrong choice? Bad forever, tainted. Because they should be good at making choices, good at analyzing the path, so if something goes wrong once, it’s going to go wrong every time. This God Tier is just a very chaotic version of a very rational person.
3rd God Tier: Mage of Mind
Mage is the Active Class of knowledge. Mages are known to “understand” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Mage of Mind, specifically, would normally see the world as a list of tasks to be made, one choice after another, one obligation after another, with the goal of reaching the end of it having checked out all the details. I can see them being more likely to have existential depression, without even realizing that the solution they think is the best is actually the cause of their suffering. When they treat life as a videogame in which you just follow what is right, what is logical in the guide and what has the most correct result, you lose yourself and are constantly waiting for what’s next instead of enjoying anything at all. They would be really good at analyzing, at least the objective parts of the world, knowing exactly who did what but, because of a lack of touch to their emotional side, never taking into account why anyone did what they did. And that applies to themselves, of course, when they don’t even bother getting into the motives of their actions because they don’t consider that to be important. They are destined to suffer the most from just what they value the least.
4th God Tier: Seer of Mind
Seer is the Passive Class of knowledge. Seers are known to “study” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Seer of Mind, specifically, would be good at rationalizing, at analyzing choices and paths and motives and still have a black and white view of the world, except in a slightly more gray tone than most other Mind Players. Because Seers study their Aspect, they grow a lot within it, instead of already feeling as prepared and masterful in it from the start (unlike a Mage, who is destined to be of their Aspect from birth!), so they tend to be a more balanced, more healthy version of their Aspect’s traits. That does not mean a Seer of Whatever will not suffer from their Aspect, as many Seers do, as many other non-Mages also do (because your Aspect is the theme of your life, in the good and in the bad and in the in-between), it just means they will understand exactly what causes what, what traits they are attuned to and what traits they need to work on. A Seer of Mind is more focused on the objective parts of the world and the mechanics of it than the feelings, of course, as that is the theme of Mind itself, but they are, because of this consciousness, less averse to emotions and to learning about their inner works.
Seer of Mind is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Terezi Pyrope is the character that holds that title.
5th God Tier: Thief of Mind
Thief is the Active Class of stealing. Thieves are known to “take” from their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Thief of Mind, specifically, would show off their title in a very abstract way, because taking from Mind is complicated. Thief of Mind is a very interesting title, the one who steals rationality for themselves, maybe someone who is always taking up space in others’ minds, in your thoughts “rent free”, if that specific feeling was the common denominator throughout your whole life. Perhaps an unforgettable person, both good and bad? Someone who really makes a mark, or someone people have a huge amount of trust on, the friend who you believe has the answers, the to-go person when there is a crisis. I think Thieves of Mind would thrive in situations where they had to lead, because like a Thief of Light likes to be the center of attention (stealing light from others) a Thief of Mind likes to be the decision maker, the ruler. They can make really thorough bosses who won’t rest until everything is done the right way, but who always are right in the end.
6th God Tier: Rogue of Mind
Rogue is the Passive Class of stealing. Rogues are known to “redistribute” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Rogue of Mind, specifically, would, despite being the holders of the Aspect of rationality and of choices, make great effort to share the load and responsibility between everyone, a team worker. Rogues are usually depicted as easy-going on other people’s eyes, perhaps because some think they’re easy to control or because they have this “giving” aura to them, the Robin Hood spirit. A Robin Hood of Mind, who takes from the most fortunate and distributes to the least, means to me a person who has the answers, who is a master in what they do (in this case, thinking rationally, coming up with solutions), but still are able to put people in front of them, taking the lead and making the choices. They are to me the Class of Mind who are most likely to not suffer with the idea of letting someone do what they want when it is not the “best” thing. Mind Players have this gift of black and white to them, so this rare ability to prioritize meanings over the Most Correct or Most Efficient Way is a great way to describe how Rogues stand out.
7th God Tier: Knight of Mind
Knight is the Active Class of utilizing. Knights are known to “handle” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Knight of Mind, specifically, would be the master of masters when it comes to rationality, making decisions on a whim and even seeming to go with the flow with how fast and easy moving is for them. Does that mean their life is easy and everything goes their way? No, it never does, those things are external to God Tiers and nobody’s title determines that. But it means that they have this naturality in this one part of life that is specific to them. They are so talented in this area that they barely have to try, as if they are destined to be free spirits. This means, of course, that they lack in the opposite Aspect, that being Heart, because Mind Players can place so much importance in the mechanical parts of life that they neglect the emotion and the meaning, and with that the sense of self. The ease that a Knight of Mind has with how moving comes to them is proportional to the difficulty they have in forming their own personality, in describing why it is that they do what they do, in diving deep into themselves. Their fight as a Knight has to do with not allowing themselves to remain shallow in the name of reason.
Knight of Mind is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Latula Pyrope is the character that holds that title.
8th God Tier: Page of Mind
Page is the Passive Class of utilizing. Pages are known to “rise” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Page of Mind, specifically, would start off, as all Pages do, with a deficit in their Aspect. Think of a person who either has a hard time rationalizing or is so confident in their rationalizing that they end up not working towards improving it, at all. As a Heart Player (breaking the fourth wall) it is difficult for me to exact what it takes to be a Mind Player, because they are not of personal analysis, and more of objectiveness, of what can be seen, and a Page of Mind, reading this, would agree and accept the shallow explanation of what their Aspect is, either rapidly agreeing or forcing themselves to, only because they “don’t want to think more about it” or because they “don’t have to think more about it”, “it’s simple enough etc.” This quick rationalization isn’t as efficient as the one the Knight of Mind does, because the Page still has to grow immensely to reach their potential, which is famously greater than most (or all) other Classes. They have to think about their thinking more deeply, to figure out the meaning of the mechanics of them, how they come to be, instead of just trusting it blindly. “It works” is not excuse enough, because it could work even better, and there is a large space to grow into. Pages of Mind would be hard to spot, because most of their personality happens on the inside and doesn’t shine through, even when they do reach their potential.
9th God Tier: Maid of Mind
Maid is the Active Class of construction. Maids are known to “create” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Maid of Mind, specifically, would not even seem like a Mind Player through many people’s eyes. They are literally made of mind, so just like the Page, everything would happen deep inside, hidden away, not a chance of shining through the thick skull that even they don’t notice or think it’s a big deal. When it comes to lacking a sense of self and personality, Maids of Mind are the winners, because they literally serve Mind and go through life depending on the usage of it, depending on how well they do with it. I see a Maid of Mind being extremely cold, stone-faced, a great description of someone who has no connection to their own emotions but who goes through the world almost automatically, knowing what to do, knowing what to say. This does not mean they are bad people or anything I may be making it sound like, it just means their natural, unfiltered way of being is extremely lackluster in depth, black and white, which helps push them towards their maiden duty of serving, of spreading logic.
10th God Tier: Sylph of Mind
Sylph is the Passive Class of construction. Sylphs are known to “build” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Sylph of Mind, specifically, would be like a helper of the mind, someone who untangles other thoughts for them, who helps determine morality and whether justice has been made or not. As they are the builders of logic, thinking, rationality and choices, they are great advisors, even if not professionally, prone to fixing other’s issues even if accidentally, being a very unique type of healer, one of the rational world. Just don’t expect a Sylph of Mind to advise on more emotionally challenging tasks, because that is not their area at all. I see them being polite about it, knowing well where they don’t excel and being open and honest. They are unlike some other Classes, who believe they do have a great grasp of other areas — I see them as very enlightened, though not a knowledge class, possibly better described as mature and non-stubborn.
11th God Tier: Prince of Mind
Prince is the Active Class of destruction. Princes are known to “wreck” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Prince of Mind, specifically, would be chaos in a person. Destined to the role of Mind, the one of choices and justice and rationality, they are obsessed with going against it with every strength they have. While most other Classes would be of great help strategically, the Princes of Mind would purposefully deter others or even themselves from the correct choices, from the most logical solutions or even from the easier ones too. It doesn’t matter if it’ll be a challenge to go through, they will tend to go the opposite direction because everything in them has the need to destroy Mind. It is not a doomed destiny or even something they can’t work on in order to change, but it is something that’s natural to them and that will be seen from everywhere. It’s not exactly rebellion when they make the most irrational choices, it is simply their own way, and they have personality even though they don’t care about making sense of it. Think of the most chaotic way to be a Mind Player, and there you have the Prince.
12th God Tier: Bard of Mind
Bard is the Passive Class of destruction. Bards are known to “deconstruct” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Bard of Mind, specifically, would not abide by the laws of their Aspect but still fall on its stereotypes in their own ways. Their chaos would show up sometimes, in intrusive thoughts and in subtle urges to choose the opposite thing, to make the emotional irrational choice, but it would only take over in very specific circumstances. I see a Bard of Mind being a critic of others, not because they think they are better but because others seem to care a little too much. This may seem like hypocrisy but would make perfect sense for them — nobody matters that much, I can see them think, and that same sense of personality that most other Mind Classes lack, they seem to own just by not caring at all. Controversy in a God Tier, the Bard of Mind is, carefully destroying the aspects of their Aspect.
“Those bound to the aspect of Space are, as the name suggests, concerned with the big picture. They are patient, masters of the art of 'wait-and-see', and are inclined to take things as they come. That isn't to say that they're pushovers or willing to let injustice lie-they just choose their battles wisely, understanding that sometimes you have to let something burn to the ground in order to build it back better and stronger than before. To this effect, they tend to be innovators, concerned with creation and redemption. Catch them recycling the old to make the new, the fresh, and the beautiful. For the Space-bound, the journey is as, if not more, important than the destination; how they do something is as important as what they do. At their best, they are steady, impartial, and creative. At their worst, they can be detached, apathetic, and vague”.
“Space Players can be lonely. But Space is usually patient, and it is big, so big. It is everything, after all. It’s not a coincidence that the creator of Homestuck, the creator of all of this that I’m writing about, is a Space Player. Space gathers everything, and everything is in Space”.
Adding the Classes to the Aspect of Space will result in twelve God Tiers. My analyses of them are as follows:
1st God Tier: Witch of Space
Witch is the Active Class of manipulation. Witches are known to “control” their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Witch of Space, specifically, would be a master of manipulation, as the title literally reads. Since Space is, sometimes, everything, they will just hold (or seem to hold) this aura of control over every area of their lives, other people’s lives, the world etc. They would be very powerful, too powerful for even themselves to know. They could pass that impression of someone really introverted and smart, bubbling up on the inside, but they would be observing it all, seeing outside. They will be lonely, for their power is a lot to handle, but they will be patient through it, as we can see with our canon Witch of Space in the comic. Jade Harley, who was in charge of the frogs used to create the new universe, had all the power of change in her hands, unsure what to do with it sometimes, but thankfully with a look on the future (because of her being a Prospit Dreamer).
Witch of Space is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Jade Harley is the character that holds that title.
2nd God Tier: Heir of Space
Heir is the Passive Class of manipulation. Heirs are known to “influence” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. An Heir of Space, specifically, would take everything in, every day. They would be destined to that, to always accept, to receive, to become, either become other people as in forging personalities or change themself to fit a certain situation etc. Space is a very patient Aspect, even if challenged, and Heirs would be (or would have to LEARN to be) very tolerant to the slowness of their life. Whether it’s noticing injustice they cannot change, literally waiting in line or dealing with expectations, their life would not be rushed at all. For they are the universe itself, (and maybe they even like that kind of imagery literally — us being the universe experiencing itself) they may grow into becoming this expansive and neverending ground of potential that we see up above and all around, that is everywhere.
3rd God Tier: Mage of Space
If you read into Mage of Space I suggest you also read into Seer of Space — I wrote them together as one.
Mage is the Active Class of knowledge. Mages are known to “understand” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Mage of Space, specifically, would be, you guessed it, really good at understanding the world. Whether it be the ways the Earth works, being really into science, knowing rules and concepts without even having to learn about it, the Mage of Space would probably be considered by others a very smart all-knowing person, because of this ease they would have with navigating life. Not to bring MBTI to this, and this is the only time I’ll mention it, their most dominant function would probably be extroverted sensing (Se), which basically means they’d be gifted with spacial awareness, punctuality, attention on the present, gathering of the details about their surroundings… It could be overwhelming, sometimes, to always be around so many things, so many people, so many smells and noises and textures, and they’d be #1 at clocking all of that, and their reaction to it would depend greatly but definitely spark something in their minds either way. Think of a person who just knows their way around places they’ve never been — maybe they are a Mage of Space.
4th God Tier: Seer of Space
If you read into Seer of Space I suggest you also read into Mage of Space — I wrote them together as one.
Seer is the Passive Class of knowledge. Seers are known to “study” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Seer of Space, specifically, would be as all-knowing and skilled in sensory awareness than a Mage, but in a less invasive (to themselves) way. I can see them being very good at focusing, at manifesting themselves into a “mind palace”, being one with their thoughts and thinking clearly, even disregarding the overwhelming sensations they too may over-notice. The thing that differentiates Mages and Seers is that, yes, the Mage is inherently knowing while the Seer is not born into the knowledge but that’s what makes the Mage suffer with their Aspect so much. The Seers are more aware of their awareness and what hurts and helps about it, so they have this advantage. One in all, they are two sides of the same knowledge coin, each with different strengths and weaknesses. One weakness I can see the Seer presenting is a lower level of patience than the other Space Players. Because they are so used the learning and analyzing something new every time, and how can knowledge be limited?! It can’t! There always has to be something to learn!
5th God Tier: Thief of Space
Thief is the Active Class of stealing. Thieves are known to “take” from their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Thief of Space, specifically, would want to take up space, to make their presence known, maybe in a dangerous way (to others, not themselves), showing up without warning and being the one who overwhelms others with too much noise, too much texture and details. I can see a Thief of Space never feeling like they have enough, but also challenging anyone who implies the same about them. Not that they’d be defensive like a Knight would be, but more proud and overall, sure of themselves. Thieves of Space also are very powerful according to their God Tier, since they are the robbers, the ones who bring it all to themselves. In the end, they have to fight to not end up alone.
6th God Tier: Rogue of Space
Rogue is the Passive Class of stealing. Rogues are known to “redistribute” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Rogue of Space, specifically, would be a giver, quite literally. It’s not that they’d be necessarily frugal or do donations, that has nothing to do with their title, it just has to do more with quality time, sacrificing their own abilities in the favor of another, and things like that. A Rogue is a passive stealer and Space is the Aspect of creativity, so I can see a Rogue of Space not working in the creative field at all because they have no sense about how creative they are (which also doesn’t have to do with their title and will vary between people). Rogues can be seen as multifocused on various subjects and a Rogue of Space would be even more (sort of like a Rogue of Light here), since Space is, after all, all.
7th God Tier: Knight of Space
Knight is the Active Class of utilizing. Knights are known to “handle” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Knight of Space, specifically, would have a great sense of responsibility, like all Knights and real-life knights, even more heightened than the others on account of their Aspect being something so great, so big. Time and Space are both a big deal, the biggest deal of the twelve Aspects, and Knight is the biggest deal of the twelve Classes, so yeah, this person would be drowning in sense of duty. To those who never read the comic, the Space Player and the Knight have to come together to gather the items in order to create the new universe, so they are, as I like to think, the two main makers of it all. When the Knight and the Space Player is the same person, they would be inclined to do it all, probably all on their own. This applies to the fictional game inside Homestuck, of course, but also to reality, where a Knight of Space would take it as a line of work the protection and management of things, in whatever area they are inserted in, perhaps being impatient at times, at least as impatient as a Space Player can be without breaking the laws of their Aspect. All in all, Knights of Space are into suppressing the fun and taking their productivity first, into not exactly, if ever, rebelling, but working focusedly towards a goal.
8th God Tier: Page of Space
Page is the Passive Class of utilizing. Pages are known to “rise” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Page of Space, specifically, would start off not as extreme as the Knight of Space, but more like build a sense of responsibility over time, like something growing bigger and bigger inside them, slowly reminding them about something new every day, something they have to do, something that is happening somewhere in the world that they didn’t know about, something they could do to help, to create. One day, they would reach that big sense of responsibility that I see the utilizing Classes having. They would be self-doubtful in their skills but brave enough to go through with them, convinced that they’re not destined for anything great but still willing to make the best of it (spoiler alert: they usually are destined for something great. As Brain Ghost Dirk Strider once said: Pages have a lot of untapped potential. / That's practically all there is to the class, actually. / But when they eventually find it, look out). Pages are pretty much perfectly described like that.
9th God Tier: Maid of Space
Maid is the Active Class of construction. Maids are known to “create” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Maid of Space, specifically, would take bullets from all sides, from a very young age, not really realizing their own creativity and what they can do with it. It is a creative Class, meaning a person with this title will be helpful or meddlesome in the passive way, and I can see that meaning their serving nature being used to challenge domination and injustice and what it really means to be a leader. Maids may come off as odd to other people, but never odd in their own Aspect, they make total sense with it — in the Space field, of course, that means all the weirdness or lack of acceptable social cues will have to do with creativity and wideness. There are so many rules, I am not trying to disrespect them, there is just a different way to obey this very rule, I’m not actually disobeying it! This thought is funny because Maid is such a passive Class, despite being an active one and Space is such a passive Aspect but the Maid of Space being the servant of the Everything Aspect just makes them go straight to the other side, actually appearing powerful and confident whenever they need to take control of something. Passive and Active don’t mean much in this specific God Tier title.
Maid of Space is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Porrim Maryam is the character that holds that title.
10th God Tier: Sylph of Space
Sylph is the Passive Class of construction. Sylphs are known to “build” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Sylph of Space, specifically, would have it under control. They are the leaders, or the ones who should be let to lead, with good taste and meddling skills and a bit of a hot head. Being the builders of the Aspect of Space, they tend to be very patient, of course, in their own ways, and their head-heat is more passive-aggressive than full on, I guess, aggressive. I can see them being artists, the makers themselves, not only the more general artistic fields but the art itself, like drawing or making things with their own hands (artist is just a weird word to use because art is so many things, but I mean more of a manual artist I guess!) and of course, as we see in Homestuck, a taste for beauty. We can argue that our canonical Sylph of Space is a lover of beautiful things because she is a Jadeblood or because she is a lesbian… but it has to do with her God Tier as well. They’re makers, they know what it takes to build something from the ground-up. They can be picky if they want.
Sylph of Space is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Kanaya Maryam is the character that holds that title.
11th God Tier: Prince of Space
If you read into Prince of Space I suggest you also read into Bard of Space — I wrote them together as one.
Prince is the Active Class of destruction. Princes are known to “wreck” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Prince of Space, specifically, would be more like a Maid of Time. Does that make any sense at all? Okay, let’s break it down.
Yes, in general, in my eyes, Princes are, despite being the Active Class, less avoidant of their Aspect than Bards are. I don’t know if “avoidant” is the word, actually, but more… willing to despise it aggressively, if we can be extreme (and they are). But in the case of Space, I actually see the opposite: I see these Princes being much less accepting of their role of Space, and not in a Knight/Page way because those are more doubtful and unsure of their powers while the Princes and Bards are more enemies of it. I see them being, at least on the outside, very impatient people who act as if they have nothing to do with creativity, with the strength of adapting to things, perhaps only accepting wideness as their Space trait because it seems unavoidable. They don’t seem like the average Space Player, that is true, because they are more confronting than most of their peers. Their challenge will have to do with that, with denying everything that their Aspect is, and craving for the opposite one: craving the control and the rebellion, the right to be as loud as they can and be heard, instead of yelling silently into the void.
12th God Tier: Bard of Space
If you read into Bard of Space I suggest you also read into Prince of Space — I wrote them together as one.
Bard is the Passive Class of destruction. Bards are known to “deconstruct” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Bard of Space, specifically, would now, be deniers of their Aspect as well, but not to the point where they would be mistaken for the opposite one (Time). A Bard’s way of life is through passive chaos, slowly bringing down things related to their Aspect, in this case being expansiveness, creativity, patience and space itself. I can see a Bard of Space being so fed up in times of crises that they end up abandoning whatever it is they’re doing, not once thinking of the consequences of that — this being because Space Players are usually not impulsive people, but instead willing to choose their battles carefully. They are to me the opposite of two Space stereotypes: the one I just mentioned about impulsiveness and the ability to enjoy the journey more than the destination. Bards make music, don’t they? Think of them looking at the process as an unfinished song, pretty frustrating for people meant to destroy instead of create.
Heart is the Aspect of the soul, the self, of passion and impulse. Heart Players are described to be obsessed with their own identity, in both the good and bad sense (like every Aspect, it has both sides). They are doomed to struggle with their sense of self, to be focused on the improvement of their own paths. Heart Players know themselves in more intrinsic ways than most people are used to knowing themselves. They are masters of self-analysis, and to quote a Homestuck character, “drowning in [their] own dismal persona”, they “can’t escape from themselves”.
In more literal ways, Heart can have to do with relationships and the idea of love. Many Heart Players seem to have a connection with or a struggle with romantic love, though this is much more a theory. All the Homestuck characters with the Heart Aspect got their hearts broken at one point and were very interested in romance. Many Classes make a Heart Player a great helper to others, since they understand how self-improvement should work and may want to advise others on it. They may know others more than others know themselves too. Heart’s opposite Aspect is “Mind”, of course, which is more focused on rationality and justice.
Adding the Classes to the Aspect of Heart will result in twelve God Tiers. My analyses of them are as follows:
1st God Tier: Witch of Heart
Witch is the Active Class of manipulation. Witches are known to “control” their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Witch of Heart, specifically, would have, as their main challenge, balancing themselves and their relationship with the world. Witches are known to be good at altering the state of their Aspect, and for Heart it can mean they forge a persona, hide from passion and love, control others’ views of them, etc. A Witch of Heart would be a good liar, and to an extent, a balanced person. Their challenge is balance only because they believe they have to be in control of and taking the reigns of how the world affects them. With Heart being the soul Aspect, I see them as the most likely Witch to be an actual witch. If they’re not, they’re at least somewhat spiritual, whatever religion and spirituality means for them. Because Heart is the self, so, to me, the idea that the Classes can be very literal is interesting. Tell me, any Witches of Heart into witchcraft out there?
2nd God Tier: Heir of Heart
Heir is the Passive Class of manipulation. Heirs are known to “influence” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. An Heir of Heart, specifically, would inherit Heart even more literally than a Witch would. They would be the walking stereotype of a Heart Player, which can mean understanding themself, being true to themself, extremely connected to their emotions, and not necessarily always in a good way but in all ways. Because of the literality of Heart, and of Heirs sort of “inheriting” their Aspects, I can see them feeling like they’re dependent on love, or on acceptance of who they are, even with their huge sense of self, because Heirs can be oblivious to their powers, since inheriting is such a passive action.
3rd God Tier: Mage of Heart
Mage is the Active Class of knowledge. Mages are known to “understand” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Mage of Heart, specifically, would know people, know how to read rooms, understand connections, notice little things in how people interact, they would be the masters of self-knowledge and knowledge of others. Good mediators, or at least with grand mediator potential, I can see their future laying on communication and the public, not necessarily anything to do with fame but something with people, perhaps meddling the dynamics of their family or friend group, and of course, with themselves. They have more potential than all other God Tiers to dive deep within themselves, they know why they do exactly what they do, they know the patterns, they see it all, and even if they don’t know how to fix them they know exactly what the instigators are. Mages of Heart read into the self, without even having to try, they see people very accurately, their personalities, their reactions etc. Do you do anything with that knowledge? I don’t think always. Sometimes you’re just doomed with the wisdom.
Mage of Heart is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Meulin Leijon is the character that holds that title.
4th God Tier: Seer of Heart
Seer is the Passive Class of knowledge. Seers are known to “study” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Seer of Heart, specifically, would, like the Mage, have great potential of people-reading and understanding personalities, however it wouldn’t be that inherent in them. It would be very literal, as in them learning with time how to deal with others, studying reactions and body language and even going on journeys with their own emotions, trying to understand why they feel what they feel and what exactly they are feeling. Ok, I feel good, but do I feel happy, satisfied, excited, proud, etc., what is the exact feeling? Perhaps their mission in life would have to do with those emotions, or with romance, even if other people’s. Mages and Seers have more to do, in my opinion, with the Self side of Heart, but of course they can find the other parts relevant as well, like the spirituality, the Soul part in a more exoteric way. If that is the case, just add what I wrote in those themes instead. Everything is connected.
5th God Tier: Thief of Heart
Thief is the Active Class of stealing. Thieves are known to “take” from their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Thief of Heart, specifically, would use what they can of their knowledge of emotion, of sense of self, of human nature, and apply it to themselves. They would know how to enjoy what they possess of it, not wasting anything away, not letting go in any way. If they found some therapy that changed how they felt or acted, they would hold onto that forever, never letting go, if they discovered a pattern once, they would notice it for the rest of their life. This does not only apply to good things that help them progress, or really deep things, but to bad and little things as well. An eternal journey of a Thief of Heart would be applying, applying, applying, getting everything they can out of life and applying. Both a blessing and a curse.
Did you think they'd be stealing hearts? Well, maybe! That can happen too!
6th God Tier: Rogue of Heart
Rogue is the Passive Class of stealing. Rogues are known to “redistribute” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Rogue of Heart, specifically, would, awn, be very self-sacrificing. They wouldn’t be as selfless as a Maid or as other Rogues even, but God, if they wouldn’t put everything that they have into helping others. Helping others deal with their emotions, or at least understand them, helping others apply some form of therapy that they know works wonders, but not applying it much to themselves, just happy to be causing progress in others. I can see it, in this case, not being only about other humans, even if I see Heart as a very Human Being Aspect, but animals as well, or objects, who knows? Rogues of Heart would give, take what they need and give the rest, applying like the Thief, but in a more passive way, and in a more “others” way. While a Thief would better themselves to later better the world, a Rogue would see that action working better the opposite way.
Rogue of Heart is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Nepeta Leijon is the character that holds that title.
7th God Tier: Knight of Heart
Knight is the Active Class of utilizing. Knights are known to “handle” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Knight of Heart, specifically, would be sensitive, they would have love as their weak spot, but they’d rather die before admitting weakness. Finn in Adventure Time is the best example of a Knight of Heart, fighting for what he cares about most in himself (being a hero) and toward the goal that he sees is destined to him, obligatory (protecting the kingdom). A Knight of Heart is just like that, each with their own Thing In Themself and their own Obligatory Goal. It can be a very tiring God Tier to have, as all Knights are, constantly protecting and in this case, protecting yourself. Putting your weaknesses locked in a cage, reacting to emotions in aggressive ways, just a very sturdy exterior with a turmoil inside waiting to come out. Their challenge is to put down the sword sometimes, coming to understand themselves, allowing themselves to learn about even the bad parts, because those are important too, perhaps the most important. You are not protecting yourself by shielding everything out.
8th God Tier: Page of Heart
Page is the Passive Class of utilizing. Pages are known to “rise” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Page of Heart, specifically, would have in their mission accepting their strengths and potential related to emotions, learning how to use it to their (and everyone’s) benefit. There’s no denying it, a Page will always grow in their Aspect, they will always start lacking understanding or handling of it. It will always be very clear that they are meant for that path but it will take time to get there, but when they do… They will find out all the right and the wrong ways that they have been dealing with the Heart themes: spirituality, sense of self, what it means to be a human, sentimentalism, romance, among others in that area. I guess I’m commenting more on what a Page of Heart will do than on what they are, but it’s for a reason; I think they will find themselves here, in their own time, because that’s what they’re meant to do, follow their Aspect’s path and figure out what exactly they have to do in it.
9th God Tier: Maid of Heart
Maid is the Active Class of construction. Maids are known to “create” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Maid of Heart, specifically, would go a long way serving their Aspect. Serving their emotions, other people’s emotions, sacrificing a lot of themselves, even if for other parts of themselves, all of that really meta Heart Powers. An important part of their mission would be, instead of passively working there, to accept that they are meant for much more than that, that they are Active, that they are Creators, that they were built for building, and on the Aspect of Heart, for building upon emotion, on their personality, on who they are and who they want to be and who they don’t want to be. Maids are complicated, for they have to go through a lot of learning, a lot of helping, or trying to help.
10th God Tier: Sylph of Heart
Sylph is the Passive Class of construction. Sylphs are known to “build” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Sylph of Heart, specifically, would be a nice person to have around in a crisis. Sylphs are known as the healer class, and Heart is the Aspect of emotions and the soul, so what can we infer from that? It’s not that they would be problem-solvers, exactly, but more like they would absolutely be helpers of personality trouble and those crazy moods we all get into sometimes. They wouldn’t be as self-sacrificing as the Maids, but their life would most likely somewhat orbit around their influence on others, on the changes they have caused to their friends and family even if indirectly!
11th God Tier: Prince of Heart
Prince is the Active Class of destruction. Princes are known to “wreck” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Prince of Heart, specifically, would be, in its stereotypical way, a mess. The Heart is the self and destroying the self is not a good thing to do, and this God Tier marks a person filled with aggressive reactions, to their emotions and themself and all other things related to Heart. Not all Princes of Heart will be self-destructive, because no God Tier is 100% positive or negative, but they will have a tendency to break down emotion and refuse to feel it, be resistant to feelings that are hard to feel, and you get the gist! A Prince of Heart can be a person of many humors, but one thing about them is that aggressiveness, that reaction against the themes of Heart. Very emotional people with a lot of turmoil and particular ways of dealing with themselves.
Prince of Heart is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Dirk Strider is the character that holds that title.
12th God Tier: Bard of Heart
Bard is the Passive Class of destruction. Bards are known to “deconstruct” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Bard of Heart, specifically, would be a toned-down version of the Prince of Heart, therefore harder to spot, even to themselves. A Bard’s destruction happens in small steps, as discreet as they want to make it, so mirroring the Prince’s impulsive aggression, the Bard is the most stereotypical case of passive-aggressiveness. Having to do with the soul and the emotions, a Bard of Heart may be someone who has great difficulty communicating or even understanding their own emotions, choosing instead to switch them up for others, attempting the impossible task of calming down, chilling for a minute. It’s a lot of turmoil, unpredictiveness, and that drive that only makes sense to them, standards that only they have to understand.
i see you have an aspect quiz, do you have a class one :0
Aaaa unfortunately I don't :,) Classes are veeeery singular to each Aspect, so I don't think it's possible to make an accurate (or at least helpful) Class quiz, and I don't think anyone ever will. It would maybe be possible to make a Class quiz for EVERY Aspect, but that would take a lot of analyzing and making sure you're being accurate about 144 different personalities, which is very hard. I do plan on making a Lunar Sway (Derse/Prospit) quiz tho!
Hello, I am going in the order of the Trolls so Rage is still behind a few other Aspects! But I will get to it! However, if you want any insights or answers before the whole analysis is done, just let me know! Like if you have a Class of Rage in mind, I can help and prioritize that :)
Not sure if you're still doing this, but if you are, could I request the mind aspect pls? 🥺
Heart will be out this week and then Space and Mind are next, I promise 🥺 But if you have any questions until then let me know! Thanks for being patient.
Hello! Hope is at the end of the list :,) (blame Aquarius) BUT if you have any questions or requests about a specific Class inside the Hope Aspect, ask away! If you prefer to wait for the whole official analysis then please be patient, I promise it'll happen 💛
I Know You’ve Probably Abandoned This Account But I’d Love To See A Rage Analysis From You
You're in luck, I'm planning to come back to this account (finally!) and hopefully finish all the Aspect analyses in 2026! I've been out of the Homestuck loop for a while since I'm incredibly disappointed on the fanbase's choice to stick with the creators of HS^2 and beyond, so that's why I stayed away. My account still is 100% focused on the canon comic tho so I don't see why I shouldn't keep using it :)
However I will be going in the trolls' order so that means Heart, Space, Mind, Light and Void are coming before Rage, BUT if you want me to prioritize one or a few Classes inside the Aspect of Rage just let me know and I'll message you! I only post the analyses when they're all ready but I can send you beforehand. That goes for everyone, just send me a message or an ask!
Hi, Muse(or Rogue for simplicity) of Mind here. Just curious, which aspect are you writing for next?
Cozy little spot you got here btw 💖
Hey! Thank you so much, hope you're still curious 🥺
Next one to be out (yes, I am back writing) is Heart, maybe sometime this week, and then after that: Space, Mind, Light, Void, Rage, Hope and Life! Just think of the order of the Trolls! Aradia (Time) first, then Tavros (Breath) etc. :)
Guess whose Summer Holidays arrived? I’ll be dedicating this December and January to writing the most I can of the God Tier analyses! Hopefully I’ll have done at least six Aspects until New Year’s, which would imply posting Blood, Heart and Space sometime these next two weeks! In the meanwhile, I’ll be posting some short character analyses that I usually publish on Twitter :)
But I’ll go back to Uni this week so I’ll be writing more since I'll have a need to distract myself from work! Thank you so much for your patience and for everyone who followed, I am so excited to post more and more here :)
"Blood is the Aspect of bonds, relations, friendship or relationship or hatred, anything that holds the idea of people connecting and interacting. Blood Players usually strive for community, craving the unity of people, thriving on groups of friends, families, rioters getting ready to protest, anything that ties the bloods together. They can have a hard time adjusting to freedom, preferring the value of the attachments in their life. Their view of the world is very interesting, mostly focused on the association between people, even the disharmonic ones".
"Blood can be literal, in the sense of a Blood Player’s path having to do with their care or lack of care for a sibling or parent, but it can also be about friends or lovers. They can attempt to form unity whenever they can, that might be their way of dealing with the world. They have a thought that “everyone has the same blood”. Blood is the opposite Aspect to “Breath”, which is focused on freedom and detachment".
Adding the Classes to the Aspect of Blood will result in twelve God Tiers. My analyses of them are as follows:
1st God Tier: Witch of Blood
Witch is the Active Class of manipulation. Witches are known to “control” their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Witch of Blood, specifically, would believe themselves to work better under stress, with second plans, with a strong sense of security, but their most productive moments will be those in which they decide to be free and “go with the flow”. Being the rebels against Blood, they would be deeply interested in exploring how they could break rules of conformity, even the ones they planned for themselves. They don’t like leadership, they don’t want to be responsible for other people; they are followers of change even when they don’t mean to be. They have very complex relationships, whether romantic or platonic, but not complex as difficult, and rather as “interesting to explore”. Their connections to others can be of heavy weight to them, as they sometimes doubt they are the right thing — they can love their best friend deeply but wonder all the time “do I really? Should I just leave them?”, for example. Blood Players tend to be chaotic, but I see Witches as the most collected of the lot. In regards to society, I can view them being into anarchism even if only as an interest of study.
2nd God Tier: Heir of Blood
Heir is the Passive Class of manipulation. Heirs are known to “influence” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. An Heir of Blood, specifically, would be the connecting link between people and situations. This is one of the coolest God Tiers, because Heirs become their Aspect somehow, so they would be inspired into inspiring relationships and unity, for example introducing people to their biggest passions, changing lives even when they don’t mean to, by helping their friends find themselves in what they were always meant to be doing. An Heir of Blood would have a lot of friends and probably be highly sociable and open-minded. Their challenge in life can have to do with low self-esteem in romantic surroundings, and maybe a belief that all of their friends are more interesting than them. Still with that, Heirs of Blood will be thought of as great company. They may pursue jobs related to inspiration and guiding other people.
3rd God Tier: Mage of Blood
Mage is the Active Class of knowledge. Mages are known to “understand” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Mage of Blood, specifically, would be really experienced with all forms of social interaction and/or close connections. They would be the friend that solves the issues and that takes the lead when it is time to make a decision involving somebody else (needing to talk to a figure of authority to help with something within the group, for example). I see Mages having confidence in what their Aspect represents, so they would know what they are doing, but, at the same time, it is said that Mages “suffer” from their Aspect, and I like to believe that is because they are too self-aware of it. So this would be the bad part, they would perhaps feel like they already know everything and refuse to take advice from others when it comes to their friendships or familiar bonds. And of course, since Blood also talks about binds, these Mages could also be knowledgeable in politics and social issues, naturally good at talking about it.
4th God Tier: Seer of Blood
Seer is the Passive Class of knowledge. Seers are known to “study” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Seer of Blood, specifically, would be fairly observant but retracted from social interactions. They would be the “judge instead of the participant”, and make up for what they lack with rigorous practice. In Blood, that means yes, they would constantly force themselves out of their comfort zone and challenge connections and bonds. They could be the most routine-based person in the Sburb session, and the most to-themselves person in the friend group. I think Seers are really interesting because they show signs of their Aspect even in childhood! I mean, all people do, but Seers do in a particular way.
Seer of Blood is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Kankri Vantas is the character that holds that title.
5th God Tier: Thief of Blood
If you read into Thief of Blood I suggest you also read into Rogue of Blood — I wrote them together as one.
Thief is the Active Class of stealing. Thieves are known to “take” from their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Thief of Blood, specifically, would not be as evil-sounding as their title suggests, but they would be or make themselves seem overly powerful within their Aspect. Thieves in general tend to depend a lot on their Aspect in a way to strengthen themselves, and with Blood that may be done by engaging in self-serving relationships, whether romantic or platonic. I feel like it’s important to state that not! all! Thieves! are! selfish!!! But acting in their own interests is part of their unique pattern of Aspect handling. Again, Thief is the Active Class of stealing, so these would bring Blood to themselves, benefit from connections and structure in a way that is focused not on a clear objective but rather on the overall feeling of the Player. Stealing Blood is just something they do, because they were built to do just that.
If this is too abstract for you to understand, I’d suggest that you are not a Thief of Blood. But in any form, I hope this finds them.
6th God Tier: Rogue of Blood
If you read into Rogue of Blood I suggest you also read into Thief of Blood — I wrote them together as one.
Rogue is the Passive Class of stealing. Rogues are known to “redistribute” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Rogue of Blood, specifically, would be hard to notice. They would showcase a lot of power, but much less evidently than the Thief would. Likewise, their connections would be mostly selfless, even to the extreme point of lacking focus on their own person. But remember that not! all! Rogues! are! selfless!!! It’s just a theme in their pattern that they handle their Aspect with focus on the outside world. In a Blood way, that would mean the Rogue would be active in helping society, maybe taking that as their objective in life. Parades, sure, but I’m thinking mostly protests, even if silent activism that changes humanity little by little. Sometimes they’d think they are wasting their time and should be focused on other things, but that is just the questioning that will always be present in their lives. They are doing the correct thing, just usually not in the right quantity.
7th God Tier: Knight of Blood
Knight is the Active Class of utilizing. Knights are known to “handle” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Knight of Blood, specifically, would feel a strong sense of duty that they should use their Aspect in the best way possible, possibly creating pressure on themselves. They tend to be into leading and/or handling other people, following the knowledge that their Aspect is their objective in life. Outside Sburb, this can mean this Knight is the best person in a group when it comes to having empathy and being understanding. We see that in Homestuck, with Knight of Blood being one of the most well-explained God Tiers. They are unable to ignore their duty, but of course they also make mistakes relating to it, they are as imperfect as every other person. We see the Knight of Blood being the center of all relationships, but still failing at their own because of said imperfection.
Knight of Blood is a canon Homestuck God Tier. Karkat Vantas is the character that holds that title.
8th God Tier: Page of Blood
Page is the Passive Class of utilizing. Pages are known to “rise” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Page of Blood, specifically, would feel like they lack talent in handling other people and social dynamics, but in reality, just be held back by their own insecurities and feelings that they are insufficient. If they tried to apply effort into their Aspect, they’d find all the potential they have, understanding their place and their destiny. A realized Page will happily utilize connections, routine, revolution, everything in its own place, and will even uplift others in their own Aspects, but only after defying their limits. Pages can be the center of a Sburb session. Sometimes everyone depends on them so they all can be their best versions.
9th God Tier: Maid of Blood
Maid is the Active Class of construction. Maids are known to “create” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Maid of Blood, specifically, would at first not believe in their talents. Unlike Pages, they are creators, not users of the Aspect, and so their relation to it depends on more than facing their limits. A Maid of Blood will be a pushover in the beginning, and have to fight to find a relevant place in relationships and gatherings. They might even be built up by others, depending on them before emancipating themselves. But this characteristic doesn’t mean they are inferior to others, it simply means their initial challenge will be finding independence in their Aspect. A Maid of Blood will follow advice and whatever others say is the right way to handle connections, I can see that as accepting what anyone does, following their therapist’s relationship advice without hesitation, go through life accepting the minimum thinking that is all they deserve. The thing with them will be realizing they are not made to only follow. Realized, again, they would be great bosses, good at controlling people, changing minds, inspiring.
10th God Tier: Sylph of Blood
Sylph is the Passive Class of construction. Sylphs are known to “build” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Sylph of Blood, specifically, would be very dependent on relationships and order in their life. Their favorite things in life will be concerts, parades, football games, anything that brings people together with one common goal. They will thrive in situations where they have to deal with others, be good at community, or at least like community a lot. I can see them not being very patient, however, for example when something disrupts this sense of union that they crave. They can get frustrated more than the other Blood Players, because they are the ones who feel they should be the ones doing the building. They will also be extremely hardworking when it comes to helping others, since Sylph is a healing Class and Blood is a people Aspect.
11th God Tier: Prince of Blood
Prince is the Active Class of destruction. Princes are known to “wreck” their Aspect and through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Prince of Blood, specifically, would be a complicated person to deal with, but mostly because of things that can be fixed. Princes are the opposite of Maids, so they are usually self-obsessed and self-confident; they know they are meant for / can’t escape / must act on their Aspect (their destiny). But for that reason they also aggressively hold their Aspect, in a way that might make them seem overbearing to people around them. When healing, a Prince of Blood will crave stability in social dynamics, believing that they would be completely fixed if only they had the friendship / relationship / community / family that they deserve. And they will heal from that, from perhaps creating their own community / family / etc. and building their destiny, positively seeing their Aspect.
12th God Tier: Bard of Blood
Bard is the Passive Class of destruction. Bards are known to “deconstruct” their Aspect or through their Aspect, both literally and figuratively. A Bard of Blood, specifically, would challenge themselves a lot, always defying the rules of their Aspect, which for Blood can mean they would estrange themselves from the people who care for them, escape from situations they feel comfortable in, etc. In general, they are estranged from their Aspect itself. It’s a complicated relationship to their Aspect because they are destroying it, even if passively, so this Bard’s challenge would be being taken away by Blood, expressing it way too much, believing they are too into relationships to the point where they abandon them, believing if they are too comfortable they must withdraw, and other situations of the sort.

Dirk’s different deaths are very meaningful. Alpha-timeline Dirk always dies by decapitation, implying the loss of contact between MIND and himself. Beta-timeline Dirk dies stabbed in the chest, implying the death of HEART before anything else.
Dirk is the most emotional character in the whole comic, while his beta-timeline self is arguably the emptiest.
