It wasn’t his idea. && if he had any sort of say in the matter, he wouldn’t have said yes. He doesn’t believe therapy works, and when it does, it’s usually for the worse. Therapy conjures up ideas and memories that are better left untouched. Then again, maybe that’s WHY he’s here. If Steve thinks anything can get him to remember—and God, they’ve tried everything—maybe it’s therapy.
Bucky walks into the room with caution. It would be an understatement to say trusting people these says is hard, and it’s going to take more than a few seconds for him to warm-up to the guy who looks like he could work the reception desk at Bates Motel. As requested, he takes a seat, and he’s sure his discomfort is written clearly across his face.

In his experience, it was only those that had no real problems and those that were required by a doctor that visited him. But upon seeing the Winter Solider again - up close once again, Hannibal couldn’t contain the thrill of excitement that crept up his spin. His job here was simple. He must suppress the memories that would be adverse to HYDRA and turn the Winter Soldier against his new comrades within SHIELD, particularly Captain America.
Letting his hand drop, Hannibal moved to take a step back and claim his own seat; lowering himself into the armchair, Hannibal’s legs crossed, almost delicately, it seemed at the knee. A brief nod followed the question posed to him, as his eyes studied the face of the former assassin.
“Hannibal Lecter, yes, that is correct.
Are you comfortable, Mr. Barnes?”
The rhetoric inquiry was posed as the seemingly non-existent eyebrows rose. Psychology 101: make people talk and they’ll speak before realizing what they were saying.
