“WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE’RE OUT OF FOOD!?” Came the familiar hollar of the Red Clan’s vanguard. “I JUST WENT TO THE STORE YESTERDAY!”

Of course it was with Izumo’s money for Izumo’s kitchen so it didn’t really count. But Rikio stuffing his face like he hadn’t eaten in weeks didn’t help either. Also didn’t help that Yata was one of the few vegetarians within the clan and he pretty much only bought for himself.

“Fine then!” He roared at the bartender, snickering at him “I’ll have someone come with me this time to run errands. Eric, you’re not busy. Get off your lazy ass and let’s go.”

             -eh? why me?-

The blonde ask as he raise his gaze from his cellphone as his eyes moves to the older, there is a lot of people there, why him of everyone?

Not like he have anything better to do; but definitively go to do groseries it’s not something interesting to do at all, and the idea of do it with the annoying noisy vanguard makes it even less exciting...

Was it bad that he liked messing with the vanguard? Maybe. But did he enjoy it? Abso-fuckin’-loutely. It was even funnier that said garment was nonchalantly stuffed in between the cushions in the couch…

“The FUCK!?” He didn’t react to that kindly, he was angry and frustrated that the other had thought his beanie was just some rag and threw it out. “You better get it back then! And you should know that it was my beanie! Now find it and give it back to me because I need it!”

The bartender replied with a jolly laugh. Wow, he got riled up way too fast. “Yata, it’s a joke. It’s right there in the couch where you fell asleep! Oh you’re way too easy! I’m sorry, but you kind of had this coming.” Curiouser still, where was the little vanguard heading off to in such a hurry? Now that he had him in a vulnerable state, it would be easy information to pry out.

“What do you mean she lost her job again?” Came the familiar annoyed drawl of the Red King. “And she listed me as a reference?” More annoying chatter from the other end of the phone. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes. Why the hell didn’t she list Izumo instead for this?

“Yeah, I guess you can say that… right, I’ll talk to her. Thank you.” He hung up and felt a low growl rise from his chest. “Yata. Get over here. We need to talk.”

The vanguard’s body tensed up at the sound of her name being called. She hesitantly turned her head, eyebrows knit into a frown as she softly spoke up, “G-Got it…”

Misaki hopped off the bar stool and hurried over to the couch, standing in front of her King. She shifted around rather uncomfortably, biting down onto her lower lip while waiting for the scolding to come. This had to be about her job– or rather, previous job. Well, it doesn’t happen every day that someone gets fired for punching a customer in the face.

“Don’t worry Mikoto-san! I’ll try my best and look hard for a new job! Everythin’ will be ‘kay!”

He held up his hand as a way to calm her down. “I don’t want excuses, Yata. I want answers. What happened?” It was subtle, but there was a change to his voice. It was neither angry or disapproving. Rather, it was curious. The lion knew what the end result of her excuse would be, but hearing how she got there was a source of entertainment.

Mikoto always loved a good story of one of his clan members sticking it to a well-deserving asshole.

A familiar tongue-click escaped his lips as he came across the girl. “Now this certainly makes things harder,” Saru mumbled as he habitually scratched at the burn on his collarbone. “I’m not exactly the best one equipped to handle emotional people.”

He continued to keep one hand on his saber as he leaned against the wall, eyeing his target from behind. Certainly not someone he’d seen before. “My name is Fushimi Saruhiko.” He announced in a slightly louder tone. “I’m with SCEPTER 4. Tell me who you are and surrender quietly, or I’ll have to take you down.”

A Blue was here? She relaxed her posture a little and leaned against the wall as well. The third Blue if she wasn’t mistaken with the information she had learned while being in the tower. Was her breakdown really that troublesome that the Blues were called in. I suppose that could be taken as some sort of complement. Her mood picked up slightly.

“Don’t you have to tell me your cause is pure before taking me down,Fushimi?” She asked avoiding his question and also slightly mocking him. “That’s what you Blues say right? That your cause is pure.” It wasn’t exactly the way she had planed on meeting another clans member but this could work. Traditional was boring anyway.

Her tone definitely rubbed the snake the wrong way. “That’s not exactly my line. Or my motto.” If anything it was more of an inconvenience than an actual battle cry. “I’m just here to do my job and leave. Don’t make this any harder than it has to be.”

Seeing her in a non-threatening state caused him to stand more at ease, yet Saru still kept a rested hand on the hilt. “And you still didn’t answer me. I asked for your name.” More importantly, he was curious as to what she was doing crying in an alleyway.

Calling myself out for being a lazy dumbass. I’m making all these plans for AX and I still don’t know what costumes I’m gonna wear on what days. I think the line-up I have so far is Mikoto, Izaya, Hawkeye, and Senketsu but still up in the air what order they’ll be in.

I have two weeks to figure this out at least. For now, how about them replies?
