Ā Ā Ā Jaz audibly laughed, a rarity, even around people she was close to.Ā āYou two neverĀ knew what you were doing. Didnāt know how to curb Grant being a jackass, then didnāt know what to do with a kid so different from you.ā
Ā Ā Ā She was smiling as she signed, clearly not saying this in anger or frustration.Ā āBut I donāt think any parents really know what theyāre doing.ā
Ā Ā Ā A smile tugged at Sladeās lips when Jaz laughed. It was such a pure sound, infectious. Hearing it was like finding an oasis in the middle of a desert. The subject of Grant brought him back down a bit, though. Something heād never been able to fully come to terms with, not like he had with Jaz.
Ā Ā Ā āThe problem with Grant was we didnāt realize he was a jackass until it was too late. At the time he just seemed strong-willed,ā He shrugged, and took a few contemplative bites of his food. It was clear he had more to say, but whatever it was he kept it to himself.Ā
